My friends and I went here for dinner last night. We tried to make reservation in advance, but there were no availabilities, tables were reserved for weeks. We decided to walk-in, the wait was not too bad, approximately 30 minutes. The server called us when the table is ready, that we do not have to wait outside the restaurant.We ordered Red Lobster Salad, and each of us got different bowl of soups: Lobster Bisque, and the Chef’s seasonal – Pumpkin soup. We ordered Red Lobster Salad, and each of us got different bowl of soups: Lobster Bisque, and the Chef’s seasonal – Pumpkin soup. The lobster meat on the salad were tasteless, we couldn’t really taste any lobster favors, not even a bit, I doubt that frozen lobster meat were used. The soup we had was pretty good, creamy and flavorful.
For appetizer, we ordered the Lobster, Shrimp and Crab Dip, not sure if some of the tortilla chip supposed to be soft and puff pastry taste like, or if it's half cooked, but I personally prefer the crunchy tortilla chips. The dip was rich and creamy, but if you eat a lot, it would be a bit greasy.
We ordered the Lobster Tail, Shrimp and Salmon as our main. The grilled seafood was served with chili-lime butter and fresh pineapple salsa. The salsa tasted really bad, which claimed fresh pineapple is used, however we couldn’t taste anything aside from canned pineapple. The grilled salmon was very dry and super firm, completely overcooked. The texture of grilled lobster tail was quite chewy, but the smoky-taste was way too strong, tastes like it was burnt somehow. The shrimps were fine, not impressing though.
All food we had were served in room temperature, not even close to hot. It was really unpleasant to have room-temperate-food.
The price for food is quite decent, but we are not spending any more money here.
Too bad that this was one of my favorite restaurants in the States. But we are not going to come back here for the second time.
