You can always expect a hearty dinner with warm service from any restaurant under @piratagrouphk and @meatshk was no exception. In particular, the celebratory atmosphere was super strong that night, with the staff hard at work surprising the birthday stars at almost every table (including ours)It was my first time here, so I was a little shocked that there were virtually no veggies on the one-page menu. It was my first time here, so I was a little shocked that there were virtually no veggies on the one-page menu. I mean I get that their name says it all, but not even a salad? BTW the broccolini (not pictured) was way too charred so we wouldn’t really recommend it. Well, I guess you can say that this is a dream come true for all you meatatarians out there

Totally in love with the colourful combination of ingredients! The tangy chipotle aioli added lots of flavour to the crispy fried fish, although it was slightly too spicy for me

Perfect for sharing, the irresistible pork cheeks were satisfyingly tender while the mashed potatoes had a notable truffle taste

The natural sweetness of the coconut ice cream contrasted well with the sharp sourness of the lime curd, so we preferred this over the caramelised chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream (not pictured)
