I heard so many good reviews about this cozy french bistro prior to tonite’s visit. Therefore, I came to this restaurant with a rather high expectation, and very luckily, it didn’t fail me. We had a clams mariniere and an onion soup to start. The clam were very fresh and went very well with the white wine sauce. This dish definitely outperformed a Chinese version alternative-豉椒炒蜆 which the sauce often takes over the raw fresh taste of the ingredients. But this one is able to retain the inherent taste of the clams and the sauce just elevated the raw freshness instead of dominating it.
The soup is very sweet, excellent!
The beef was very juicy and rich in flavours. I really liked the sweet plumy-wine sauce on the side. Very refreshing.
The lobster pasta was another must-try. They were quite generous with the portion considering its price. The lobster was fresh, sweet and succulent. But it was the sauce that wowed me the most. The sauce was hinted with a bit herbal aroma which accentuated the lobster’s taste and toned down the fishy smell a little bit. Excellent!
