good service, nice decor, well priced. However, the food preperation and taste was mediocre. I understand that having lived in Japan, I have very high standards for Japanese food; so I do learn to take that into consideration when reviewing Japanese restaurants. Ordered 3 things, raw tuna rice, curry porkcutlet with rice and the small sushi set.1) raw tuna rice: came with roughly cut up pieces of frozen tuna, instead of minced up fresh tuna and the rice came in lumps. taste was ok. 2) the pork
Ordered 3 things, raw tuna rice, curry porkcutlet with rice and the small sushi set.
1) raw tuna rice: came with roughly cut up pieces of frozen tuna, instead of minced up fresh tuna and the rice came in lumps. taste was ok.
2) the pork cutlet used cheap bread crumbs instead of the good panko mix, which gives a good crunchy and golden fluffiness to the pork.The curry sauce it came with was lumpy: thick in places and watery in others.
3) the small sushi set was good. the quality of the seafood was decent and tasted fresh. However, the rice kept falling apart and lacked a slight vinegar taste which it should come with.
Overall, a good experience but a bit disappointed with the lack of attention to detail.
