It's strange how the colder it is, the more wonderful ice cream tastes? On this chilly afternoon, I came here for ice cream.Attracted by the pretty black and white exterior with the words "Oh Cow", I walked over.Interior has a cashier on one side and service counter on the other. Interior has a cashier on one side and service counter on the other. There is no sitting area. They had a few of their colorful cones on display. Note that the cones have huge holes in the bottom. More on this later.
Decor was sweet with mini old hippie Volkswagon vans to hold napkins and spoons.
Menu has four different flavors of soft serve ice cream in a cone for $42. They also have cup versions for $35 where you can add toppings for extra money. So, I chose the lavender ice cream cone.
Lavender ice cream cone came in a pretty colorful cone which was crunchy and sweet. It came decorated with a waffle, nitrogen frozen pineapple and a pretty wafer daisy on top. It was pretty to look at. The daisy was flavorless and tasted like paper. The waffle was dry and hard. I have no idea the point of the nitrogen frozen pineapple when you can just throw them in the freezer. I didn't see them tossing pineapple into liquid nitrogen. The pineapple also didn't taste frozen anyways. It just tasted like pineapple chunks straight from a can of pineapple. The lavender ice cream was smooth. However, the taste of lavender wasn't very strong and I tasted just sweet ice cream. Remember that I mentioned the cones had holes in the bottom? They plug the bottoms with marshmallows. So, beware of leakage from the ice cream. This happened to me and it went into my napkin. I don't understand why they just can't remake the cones to not have holes in the bottoms?
