It has been two days since we've had rib-eye at Bistecca, and I still remember how good it was. Bistecca is nothing new to us as we come here occasionally on weekend lunches, but its steak almost always impresses. Service is typically alright, although our hostess went the extra mile on this visit. If the occasion is to get a perfect steak dinner without putting on suits and heels, Bistecca would be highly recommended. In fact, I'd claim that it serves the best steak in the entire Dining Concept

And the best part: it's way more chill than your typical premium steakhouse, whether at Mandarin Grill or even Wolfgang.

If you want bone marrow to start your steak dinner, by all means. This was nicely cooked. And don't forget to spread the onion jam over your marrow.

The sauce was way over the top. Octopus seemed almost like a deep-fry and everything was too salty. The octopus on its own would have been great. Too much sauce always raises suspicions about freshness.

Good salad with avocado, cheese sprinkles and a good variety of greens. Slightly too small a portion if you ask me.

Requested medium rare and the steak came out medium rare (that happens only half the time in Hong Kong). The rib-eye was perfectly seasoned and charred, and it was moist, tender, not too fibrous and was loaded with an intense meaty flavor. The lean meat/fat balance was ideal. At less than $500 for a 14oz serving of USDA Prime Rib-eye, this was great value.
