I tried this resto last night for dinner with my 2 girlfriends - overall comment: very disappointed. To begin with, they lost my reservation, then the daily menu is incorrect and misleading. We ordered the small seafood platter (HKD 398) with only 2 oysters, and a dozen of clams, another dozen of mussels & some shrimps ... no source at all.... just overpriced. We ordered the small seafood platter (HKD 398) with only 2 oysters, and a dozen of clams, another dozen of mussels & some shrimps ... no source at all.... just overpriced. We ordered 2 main courses: Wagyu Short Ribs (HKD 328) & Pork Belly (HKD 168) The beef was pretty dry and didn't have the texture of a waygu beef, and the port tasted like a Chinese dish with some dice apple. Since they don't serve wine, we ordered the fruit Mojito... the Strawberry Mojito (HKD 42) was tasteless so we requested extra syrup. We were hesitated to order the dessert, but we thought it couldn't fail as it's pretty standard... and once again, it disappointed us. The NY cheesecake was too soft, nothing like the regular NY cheesecake (HKD 49). Our water did'n't get to refill once during our dinner.... poor service with poorly trained waiters in uniforms.
Suggestions: Shelter Lounge should consider to rewrite their menu with less eye catching descriptions of the dishes. Should def. improve the food quality, re-train the staffs and re-adjust the price.
The only good thing about this resto: Spacious & B.Y.O.B.
