I am so glad we had the chicken pot because I haven't had this in ages and I love it spicy. There were quite a few highlights here that must be ordered if you like that stuff.
We started with the fishballs which were soft and springy~ As a keen veggie eater, I love the long bamboo piths which come with the bulb.
It soaks the delicious chicken pot sauce and has a crispy viscous texture. The goose intestines are worth ordering here because they serve fresh ones which you can tell by the white fat deposits attached otherwise they would be yellow. The hotpot bubbling away. They also serve Pigs hard palate, a trending new item which is the top palate of a pigs mouth!!
Crispy in texture~ For meat eaters, there was meatballs filled with cheese and beef. We also had pork tendons which are a rarity as there are only two per pig. Now to my favourite Chicken testes, you either hate or love them but girls rarely eat them because it is guy thing.
For me, I don't care because I like the taste and they taste like fish roe from a doversole fish. The prawn paste balls were also bouncy. The crispy beancurd rolls were gone in a flash, so were the boneless eels! We had a fun gathering and it was affordable so I am looking forward to dining here again.
