We decided to try a place for lunch that boyfriend had been interested in a while but never got around to it. That was DK1886. An odd name for a place that serves Vietnamese food. The decor was also a bit strange with electric guitars hanging on the walls.Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge during lunch time. All items come with a drink. They also have snacks.I had the pork sausage with cold vermicelli ($62). The interesting thing about this is that they fried the pork

I had the pork sausage with cold vermicelli ($62). The interesting thing about this is that they fried the pork sausage instead of what most places do .. just give it to you with the crunchy exterior. Perhaps fried items do make things better? I liked it! The rest of it was ok. The sauce was fine but a bit on the sour side.
Boyfriend had the grilled pork chop with rice in coconut milk ($66). The item that he wanted to order before entering the place. I guess he over hyped himself. The coconut milk was very sweet that it almost over powered the taste of coconut. The pork chop was boneless and a bit on the dry side.
The food was ok and items were a bit different than the majority of Vietnamese places. Prices were reasonable enough though portion size was a bit small. Doubt we'd come back as nothing really made us want to.
