Becoming a frequent luncher at Kowloon Bay and Central recently, I decided to try Me Time Cafe due to its extreme popularity during lunch hours.Let’s comment on the food first. Every lunch set has both soup and drinks included. However, the rice was a total disaster. To my surprise, firstly, the rice itself was separated from the sauce. I thought they were to be cooked and baked together. Let alone the rice, the sauce was frankly problematic. I wonder if the chef had mixed salt and sugar up cuz what I tasted was EXTREMELY salty for the sauce. Luckily and coincidentally, the rice was served on its own so it sort of saved me from it yeesh

Moving on to the service and environment, I have to point out that the queue is very long since 12pm (it was a normal Tuesday) and they would not let you in until all the guests of your table have arrived. Besides, it was quite noisy given that there were so many diners inside.
With the terrible quality of the rice I wouldn’t be able to give a nice rating. Plus it’s just a “maybe” for me on whether I’d return for another meal though I do think other lunch sets are worth a try. Yet I strongly advise you to avoid the Portuguese chicken rice as it’s a trap. Perhaps it’s a mistake from the kitchen? I couldn’t tell…
