紫菜墨魚丸河 $50


A very big bowl of steaming hot noodles arrived momentarily after ordering.


The noodles are fresh and extremely tender and soft. It absorbed the broth so well without turning mushy. The portion is also very large, or maybe the noodles just expanded rather fast but I easily finished every last bite.


Not only are the noodles given generously, the seaweed (another specialty) is too. Crunchy and soft; a great addition to the otherwise one dimensional noodles.


As for the cuttlefish balls. Very very good. Tender with small bites of cuttlefish for more texture. Very well flavored and just simply delicious. Also liked how each piece was shaped differently which adds to the homemade feel. There were five pieces in this bowl!


The most important part in any noodle soup dish is of course the soup itself. The one here is definetly a highlight; extremely savoury and filled with umami straight from the ocean; the seaweed, fish bones and any other discard is combined with celery and cilantro fro this fresh yet rich broth. I wished they gave me more as the noodles absorbed most of it. It doesn’t make you thirsty at all which is good as they don’t serve water here 😅 A very nice and deep ocean taste that is only enhanced by red vinegar.

💬 Overall, really enjoyed my meal at this place and I look forward to coming back to try their other cuttlefish dishes and drink more of that addicting soup! The price is also not too bad considering everything is homemade with generous portions.
