Why are there so many good comments? Disappointing

I had been craving pizzas and wanted to go somewhere new and found this place on openrice. Comments were generally positive so I decided to give it a try! I had reserved a table the night before and when we arrived we saw quite a number of expatriates, lifting my expectations of their food.The lunch sets didn't seem so attractive with limited choices of food so we decided to order a la carte from their menu. Crab Meat & Pineapple Salad (Mixed salad, cherry tomato, crab meat, pineapple)

 This  salad sucked as I found the crab meat totally free of the flavour of crab and I actually suspected that they were just tuna! The pineapples weren't fresh either. Very disappointing! 


Blue Mussel in Weiss Beer

 This starter was nothing comparable with those at Frites Belgium on Tap which was just nearby. The mussels were not fresh enough and they were not well cooked with Weiss beer. The Weiss beer all sunk to the bottom. Disappointing.

 This pasta cost $139+10% which was really expensive and we did have some expectations on it. When it was served to us, I was a bit surprised at the poor presentation. It had been pre-made and they just took it out from the fridge and then reheated it. It looked super hot when served but it was pretty tasteless! We couldn't really find any taste of beef and there was insufficient cheese! It was super disappointing. 


Jacomax (Mozz, tomato, ground beef, bell peppers, egg) and Salmon & Mascarpone (Mozz, tomato, smoked salmon, mascarpone)

 Ok so maybe their pizza was really good to make up for the disappointment but no way
. It was served really hot as pizzas were really freshly baked after ordering. However, the crust was not thin or crusty enough. And it did not smell good enough either. It was really nothing comparable with those at Ciak (ok maybe it's a bit unfair to compare it with Ciak which almost doubled the price but I would rather top it up to have better pizza)! And we had no idea why the half of salmon & mascarpone was bigger than that of Jacomax...The smoked salmon was too dry and not fatty enough and there could have been more mascarpone! The Jacomax was rich in bell peppers but not really for ground beef or Mozz or tomato...Overall, the pizza was a bit too dry and tasteless! There was insufficient amount of cheese to save cost? It was really disappointing indeed!

 We were a bit hesitant in ordering dessert given the disappointment of the food so far but I really needed something moist and sweet to end the meal. The tiramisu seemed to be the best of the meal as it was pretty moist, just something I really needed at that moment. It was rich in alcohol and had lots of ingredients. It was quite different from other Tiramisu we got to eat elsewhere. But I found it good maybe just because I needed something wet at the moment after eating pizza and pasta with insufficient sauce.

Given the substantial disappointment today, I would never ever come back anymore nor recommend anyone to try.
