Hong Kong Restaurants at The Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants

The “Asia's 50 Best Restaurants” award ceremony was held in Singapore yesterday night. It’s the third consecutive year to hold this award and 9 Hong Kong restaurants have made into list of it. Asia's 50 Best Restaurants award is organized by a media company that has launched “the World's 50 Best Restaurants” since 2002. The award is commonly recognized by people around the world like the Michelin Guides and is influential in the food industry. The ranking of Hong Kong restaurants have changed compared to last year. Let’s take a look at the rankings now.

No. 6 Amber

The Amber’s ranking drops from 4th to 6th. Culinary director Richard Ekkebus has excellent performance in cooking skills and dish decorations.

No. 8 8½ Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA

8½ Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA is one of the top Italian restaurants in Hong Kong. Its ranking increases from 10th to 8th. Thus, the restaurant has invited Italian bar tenders to make cocktails with high quality. The cocktails match well with the food too.

No. 15 Fook Lam Moon

Fook Lam Moon’s ranking has increased from 19th to 15th. It has the best ranking among other Cantonese restaurants in Hong Kong.

No.17 L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon

L’Atelier de Joel Robuchonon is a well-known French restaurant. It has climbed one step up to the 17th this year and is nominated as the best French restaurant.

No.20 Lung King Heen

The Michelin 3-star restaurant Lung King Heen has surprisingly dropped from 9th to 20th. Let’s see if it can retain its 3-star Michelin reputation this year.
