說起打邊爐,當中的「邊」由古字的「甂」引申出來,據一些文獻記載--甂在漢代時是裝食物的器皿,由此得知嶺南一帶保留中原古文化可見一斑!而打邊爐一詞則更符合現代人之飲食潮流文化,親朋好友圍著爐邊,一起開心地吃喝閒談,飲來食往,實為推高之間的氣氛!佐敦區內有食肆以「打邊爐」為店名,如此簡潔有力又有意境,還看是否具有實力來襯托此名?而此答案絕對是肯定的,皆因年前與友人曾到此一嚐,發覺由湯底至食材皆精品,令人印象深刻;香江這一年多經歷的事還真不少,唯有飲食餐枱上還能與好友一聚來放鬆心情,而這次就是相約好友們來一趟打邊爐!依然是有嶺南古撲優雅的裝潢,抽風及冷氣俱佳,是炎熱夏夜來打邊爐的最理想環境!用餐的枱凳皆是有重量感的木質,那種仿古味有穿越古今之美;而用平板電腦來點餐,是現時環保方向大趨勢;就從精美及用心設計的版面及圖片所見,當中的選擇,由湯底至食材,都會令人感覺到是優質貨色!盛載打邊爐用的醬油醬料是用陶瓷製成的瓶子,黑色調子更顯沉穩;還記得對上一次選的是麻辣湯底,由於選了大辣,其口味及層次感加爆辣感令人印象深刻;而這次好友們想吃沒那麼刺激的湯底,在當中就選擇了意大利番茄薯仔牛坑腩湯底;用大銅鍋
