燒牛肉可算是自助餐的必備美食之一,但並非每一間酒店都能炮製出令人回味無窮的出品,不論是牛肉本身的質素抑或是烹調方式與技巧都缺一不可,而位於蘭桂坊的Westwood Carvery卻是以其燒牛肋肉(Prime rib)最為人所知。事實上,這次決心到訪的主要誘因卻不單是其聞名遐邇的牛肉,更是餐廳與FeedMe Guru合作推出的十一月限定海膽套餐(Sea Urchin Tasting Menu),每位$398。我倆除了海膽套餐之外亦點了一份Fisherman’s Crab Cake($198),兩件蟹餅比網球更大,絲絲蟹肉當中更混合了蝦和魷魚,份外鮮美之餘令口感更添一份爽彈,亦不如坊間部分餐廳出品一樣過多麵粉或過分油膩,怪不得好評如潮。首先送上加拿大海膽鵝肝多士(Canadian Sea Urchin & Foie Gras Toast)作為前菜已經先聲奪人,法式牛油多士烘至外酥內軟,散發濃厚牛油香,加上鵝肝與加拿大海膽層層疊疊,鵝肝入口即化洋溢豐腴油香,與海膽的鮮甜甘香出乎意外地配合得天衣無縫,齒頰留香;而清酒啫喱與蔥蓉更能中和油膩感,不論口感抑或是味道都無懈可擊。是日餐湯為番茄薯仔忌廉

以此套餐價錢能夠品嚐到多款出類拔萃的菜色實在物超所值,雖然店面不大但食物質素實在令人回味無窮,一直享負盛名絕非無因。
