對上一次黎英發差唔多係六七年前既事!今日再度探訪!這間冰室保留老舊的裝潢和陳設!很典型港式老餐廳的樣子!估唔到七點半鐘入到去已經高朋滿座!唔洗排隊但就等左陣先有位!早餐節奏真的明快!甫坐下,已見到侍應埋身!看看牆面上有白色的招牌!早餐時間當然點抵食的早餐!叉燒湯意粉配火腿奄列牛油餐包!火腿奄列細份左,又好少火腿!雖然有蛋香不過比較偏鹹!這店家有自家製麵包!記得我小時候很喜歡同哥哥在這餐廳吃餐包!很享受那個餐前的餐包。剛剛在烘焙出來的餐包脹卜卜好靚仔!仲熱辣辣的送到你面前, 香噴噴!真的不得了!但是今天配送的牛油餐包遜色了一點!包面比較硬和乾!好在包身溫暖依舊鬆軟!意粉不太幼,軟韌度適中!但是這碗叉燒湯意味道都變了!以前是雞湯底!現在只是普通即食麵湯粉水!叉燒份量亦少了!慶幸的是那杯咖啡還算保持水準!入口夠甘香!這些老店經營數十年開始後勁不繼!出品質素下降,慢慢步向夕陽!

叉燒湯意粉配火腿奄列牛油餐包!
火腿奄列細份左,又好少火腿!
雖然有蛋香不過比較偏鹹!
這店家有自家製麵包!

假日早上要去觀塘基智中學附近, 於是順道來嚐嚐買少見少的老冰室。餐包是自製的, 雖然是用罐頭馬芝蓮作為牛油, 然而包很鬆軟, 沒有很化學的感覺。門口也擺賣著各式各樣的麵包。新鮮出爐不欺人。炒蛋不過那些牛乳炒的/很滑的那種, 就是普通茶餐廳, 最家常便飯的那種, 我喜歡。奶茶當然無得彈, 色香味俱全, 又濃也滑。要是我有第二個胃的話, 我會同日再來吃多一餐, 新鮮出爐的蛋撻配熱奶茶, 諗起都正。(因真的不常來這裡)早餐32元, 配上連鎖店找不到的奶茶和自製包包, 無得輸。

講份量都算多架, 叉燒唔係薄如紙啦幾塊厚厚都叫公道啦...不過味道真非常一般意粉都煮到發脹麻麻呀, 奄列都叫OK 最正算係個餐包鬆軟美味既..不過整個餐最好最好就係杯奶茶呀..茶香奶又岩岩好...非常好飲..如果我要再來既理由都係為左佢地杯奶茶, 而不是食物!!

It is always feeling good when you wake up at 09:00am in the morning during vacation.

I am a lazy person and I hate sleeping late.

That is why I always go to watch a movie early in the morning since this will leave you with plenty of time in the rest of the day, and you can have more than enough time to plan as much as you want to do.

Before going to see "Mobfather" in Kowloon Bay, I still had plentiful time. Driving is convenient as you can go wherever you want. Being alone is another catalyst for me to choose some places which does not seem appealing to everyone.

It is definitely a wrong decision eating near EMAX where I went for the movie, so I decided to go to Kwun Tong first where there are more restaurants offering classic and typical Hong Kong old style food, like Sham Shui Po.

That is why I am here since Ying Fat Café is the Cha Chaan Teng in Kung Tong which I wanted to go for a long time. It is somehow easy to eat alone as you don't need to worry about how your company thinks, as you know, some girls really don't like the Cha Chaan Teng idea (sometimes even for boys). I am here finally and am ready to enjoy my lonely breakfast.

Like the tradition of every Cha Chaan Teng, there are lots of different set menus for you. If you have watched the movie "Mcdull" before, you should know them well. Here, in every single Cha Chaan Teng menu, you would always see different kinds of toasts, omelettes, fried eggs, ham, satay beef… Here, everything is at your choice, and you can pick the most favorable set for yourself.

I like the traditional Cha Chaan Teng decorations here. Ying Fat Café has got the late 60s-70s style and this reminds me of Wong Kar Wai’s "In the Mood of Love”. It’s another timezone and it's just like travelling back into the past by a time machine going back to 1970s. I like the menu on the wall and these font style tells you the profound history of the café. You will never find it in the modern Tsui Wah. It’s sad that these cafés are
disappearing one by one.

At the same time, Kwun Tong looks more modern after the rehabilitation projects by Urban Renewal Authority. It’s more irony that you are sitting in this kind of restaurants and thinking way back into history. I guess I am too sentimental. However, things always change. Am I right? We don’t need to wait after 50 years to see how things are changing, entirely and dramatically.I ordered a set from the menu with Satay Beef Noodles as this is the signature dish in Ying Fat Café. However, I guess the waiter made a mistake and gave me another different lunch set which I didn't order.

Anyway, I am not some troublemaker and I wanna give a try to something special, though it is not my all-time favourite Satay Beef Noodles. I accepted it finally. It’s just like the movie "Ten Years". Sometimes, one just has to accept your fate since you don’t want troubles and have to accept the truth to change. I am just an ordinary guy who only wants a simple breakfast.

Milk Tea is definitely one of the best in town. The taste is smooth and the mixture of tea and milk is in good proportion. You will never complain about Cha Chaan Teng old style milk tea as they always give a good performance in general.

When you see their freshly baked hot bread selling outside the café, you can smell it and can even enjoy a bite. However, the Bread with Ham Omelette is not that kind of the story. The bread is cold with a bit of butter spread inside. I am sure they can do it better. I just ate a bit and I am sure the bread has been put aside for quite a long time and you don’t want to waste any effort to eat the bread.

But I like the Omelette. It’s delicious and very juicy. Although the ham is not too hot, the taste is still good. I like it served in a high temperature when the melting eggs still lingering in the mouth.

The Roasted Pork Spaghetti is good with the same old style. But I am definitely sure their Satay Beef Noodles will be much better. However, I still finished the food on my table, wishing that I could try their Satay Beef Noodles next time.

It’s still a good experience at a fairly cheap price. Cha Chaan Teng is one of the Hong Kong's unique traditions. I really hope it will never change in the coming 50 years.

沙爹牛肉麵,是英記的特徵。沙爹牛肉麵,福麵為煮,味道突出,也不辣,純香,帶有花生味,再加上牛肉,可惜有點鞋,老了。通粉尚算爽口。豬仔麵包軟綿綿,沾上了牛油,油香十足。煎蛋同火腿,普普通通,不太惹味。再加上杯奶茶,澀澀地,不錯。

同友人相約試下呢間茶餐廳,入面環境一般地逼,比嘈吵, 都係俾街坊閒話家常既地方同隔離枱吹水原來呢間茶記開左幾十年, 全部野都吾錯, 尤其要試個沙嗲牛肉包兩人叫左叫左兩個常餐, 一個菠蘿包同一個沙嗲牛肉包, 餐包冇特別, 炒蛋火腿幾好食, 未到好滑蛋既程度, 但都算不錯, 有點兒時味道既感覺叉燒意粉, 叉燒半肥瘦, 意粉林度剛剛好, 雖然一個甘普通既意粉, 但係我會食得出佢係日子有功先可以火喉剛剛好!菠蘿油, 呢個反而一般, 雖然包夠熱, 牛油夠凍, 但個包太林, 所以口感差少少再黎係主角吵嗲牛肉包,超級好食, 包皮剛剛烤到有D焦,上面充滿芝麻香而且面包鬆軟,沙嗲十起香,比平時既沙嗲仲多左陣甜味, 牛肉彈牙得黎有牛肉味, 就好似打邊爐嗰D滑牛甘!呢個一定要試

雖然呢到伙記年齡都好似幾大, 不過唔好睇佢地好似好粗魯, 你對佢地有禮貌時. 佢地都超級好禮貌同埋helpful. 仲會同你談笑風生~

冇錯, 對比我平時hang out 既cafe, 西餐廳, 呢到價錢同環境都好大對比, 但我覺得呢到好好, 佢既茶走真係我一再回味既賣點! 我愛呢到既性價比 +人情味

每次係瑞和街打完波都會係度食過下午茶,今次都唔例外。今次係平日tea time食,仲要得兩個人,所以好多空位唔使逼,平時星期六一班人去又多人又逼。我叫咗個火腿奄列,朋友就要牛油多。個火腿奄列無咩特別,係比平時的餐廳少油,唔會太'漏'。但係朋友個牛油多真係好正,塊牛油又厚又香,怕肥嘅一定唔可以食。
