Following my friend to this restaurant, it was quite an atmospheric restaurant without dining time. Seatings were cozy with smoothing lighting. Menu served typical pub food, nothing special. Drink menu indeed gives a lot of options. Unfortunately, only one drink out of us 5 could be finished. Cocktail combination was not quite suitable to their palate. Either too sweet or too syrupy. Beer battered okra was the best among tonight's dishes. Thin puffy crispy batter with huge fresh okra. Lightly salted. Not bad.
Stuffed baked mushrooms were not bad either. Three big portobello mushrooms stuffed with minced topped with melted gooey cheese. Juicy, meaty and indulgent. It was a lovey dish.
Roasted pork knuckle was okay. Crispy thin skin with soft juicy meat. Slight on a fatty and salty side. Sauerkraut was underneath. It will be way better if a bigger portion served or serving aside because it was swimming with the pork grease.
Mini burgers were sadly the worst tonight. Three of them were dry. Bread was dry. Patty was dry and bland. Difficult to share. Potato waffles underneath was way better. Crispy and savoury. Love to have some cajun or spiciness for a kick.
Spicy basil prawn linguine was okay. Love that heat. Couldnt taste much basil. Linguine tasted okay. Couldnt coat with the sauce sadly making the whole dish saucey and wet. Prawn was overcooked. Rubbery and bland. Overall, disappointing.
At the end, it's a place for a long chill. Snacks and appetisers were relatively better than the mains that may be next time would have focusing on snacks instead. Staff were layback that orders have to be initiative and kept reminding.
