趕時間又肚仔餓,留意到有越南法包就入去買來極速醫肚仔店家主張即場烘焙麵包,麵包的確皮簿而脆唔會有食損口的情況出現,三式扎肉不過不失,配上大量芫荽,香蔥和酸蘿蔔已經令整個越式法包添色不小亮點反而在冰越式咖啡,看到店家預先滴漏,讓客人減少等候時間,的確飲起來和在越南飲到的一模一樣!也感受咖啡因的澎湃感覺(越南咖啡咖啡因是正常的2倍)好適合lunch 完一杯提神!

在蔡生的店中吃不到banh mi,心裡總覺好像還差一點才滿意,於是上網看一下,發現有這一間專賣banh mi的小店,心想 : "發達了"....店開在利源東街的小巷中,兩旁全是些小販檔,一不小心便走過龍都不自知....banh mi的選擇並不多就只有五款。小弟走穩陣路線,點一個cold cut classic,裡頭全都是越式法包最基本的材料 ---- 扎肉、肉醬、醃蘿蔔絲及莞莤....包算是烘得夠熱脆的,這一點對於一件banh mi是非常重要;醃蘿蔔絲醃得甜酸有致,吃下去既可開胃也能消膩;三款扎肉味道正正常常沒有甚麼特別;肉醬個人以為可以再下重手一些;調味倒是相反甚重的,原因是黑胡椒下得甚多,個人倒覺有點喧賓奪主之感....縱使如此,整體味道是可以的,用來止一止banh mi癮絕對是合格有餘....

包算是烘得夠熱脆的,這一點對於一件banh mi是非常重要;醃蘿蔔絲醃得甜酸有致,吃下去既可開胃也能消膩;三款扎肉味道正正常常沒有甚麼特別;肉醬個人以為可以再下重手一些;調味倒是相反甚重的,原因是黑胡椒下得甚多,個人倒覺有點喧賓奪主之感....

縱使如此,整體味道是可以的,用來止一止banh mi癮絕對是合格有餘....

首先包裝得幾好睇

味道方面其實幾好㗎
之但係add chilli sauce 就敷衍左少少

仲以為佢唔記得咗落辣醬
比d力搽暈個包就好啦

點知最後尾嗰幾啖先食到有辣醬
嗰醬都真係幾難

牛腩個汁係唔錯但係舊牛腩就韌左d 否則呢個包就不得了
我見有位同事朝早同一啖好耐都未吞得落肚
比心機啦! 希望有待改善

1. Bánh Mì Kitchen has been on my to-try list for quite some time. 2. There are 6 different bánh mì on the menu. I couldn’t decide which one to try first as every one looks so delicious! I ended up starting with the first item on the menu, which is a Cold Cut Bánh Mì.

3. This Cold Cut Bánh Mì is served with 3 types of cold cuts, pate, mayo, fresh crunch pickled carrots & daikon, spring onion, cucumber and cilantro. You can also opt for “spicy” or “no spicy” for your bánh mì.

4. I opted for “spicy” (for sure!) and love it dearly! I had the best bánh mì in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (the famous Lesbian Bánh Mì), and this one is close to the best. The bread is still crunchy even it’s close to their closing time, and the ingredients inside are so fresh and delicious! Even veggies hater like me finished all the veggies. The pate is fantastic! And I love the chili!! Really hot indeed!

5. I paid HKD$12 to get soup of the day, which is a creamy potato & leek soup. It’s so so good! Make sure you try out their soup also! I would definitely come back for other bánh mì!!

I love Banh Mi so decided to try BMK because I like the way you can choose and customize your banhmi.The meat didn't look that captivating so I just got the tofu as I wanted to eat some form of baguette with pickles etc.The baguette was not toasted hence it was soft and chewy.Sadly the pickles were too chunky and not pickled enough especially the carrots which tasted like fresh carrots dipped in vinegar.Luckily the tofu was firm so my banh mi wasn't that empty after I got rid of the carrots.The

I love Banh Mi so decided to try BMK because I like the way you can choose and customize your banhmi.
The meat didn't look that captivating so I just got the tofu as I wanted to eat some form of baguette with pickles etc.

The baguette was not toasted hence it was soft and chewy.
Sadly the pickles were too chunky and not pickled enough especially the carrots which tasted like fresh carrots dipped in vinegar.
Luckily the tofu was firm so my banh mi wasn't that empty after I got rid of the carrots.
The mayonnaise was the key element that rescued this banh mi because I love mayonnaise but there wasn't enough.
It would be great if they asked you if you wanted pate or not for the tofu version as not everyone is vegetarian.

今日lunch 行左去中環買左呢間嘅越南包同越南咖啡,佢地有好多新鮮配料可以自己選擇,我都幾中意佢入面啲羅白丫菜丫,fresh又健康,配埋杯越南咖啡非常好,我諗佢有迎合香港人口味,所以甜度吾會好似越南甘甜,不過最美中不足係我覺得佢個包其實麻麻地,做吾倒越南果邊脆得黎軟熟,好un咬落去,呢part真係可惜啲,但由於佢價錢都好低,只係$50樓下,所以我都係覺得性價比吾差嘅,但如果個包可以改善下更好,下次會再幫襯

This is a very small shop with no seating, but there is a small counter which you can use to eat your banh mi standing up. It isn’t a long space and will only accommodate 2 people. We came for an afternoon snack so “eating in” was not a problem. I had the vegetarian banh mi and my teen had the charred charsiu. I opted for Sriracha sauce but not fresh cut chillies. This is a very small shop with no seating, but there is a small counter which you can use to eat your banh mi standing up. It isn’t a long space and will only accommodate 2 people.

I ordered a cold cut classic for $48. The menu described it as three different cold cuts, pate and mayo. Mayo? Well, it did look a bit flat.

Inside was three different cold cuts. These were pretty good. One even had a bit of crunchiness. Probably from a mixture of soft bone? The pate was creamy but I wished there was more. I'm not sure what they mean by mayo but I couldn't find it anyways. the carrots and daikon weren't pickled long enough to get that sharp acidic taste that will cut into the creaminess of the pate. There was also a piece of lettuce. The bread was not like the typical ones found in a banh mi and more like a French baguette. Which is not the bread used in a banh mi. It was a bit more dense and hard. Not soft and crispy.

I also added $12 for a hot Vietnamese coffee.  Not it wasn't dripped on top of condensed milk. Instead it was just premixed so what it was just sugary sweet with minimal coffee taste.

Though not an authentic Vietnamese banh mi but at least it didn't charge me an arm and a leg for it. It was definitely an inexpensive meal. Unsure if I'd return but maybe if I wanted something inexpensive to eat.

店員幫我們把法包切開。翻查過一些報導,發現Banh Mi Kitchen特別花心思在法包的製作上。Banh Mi Kitchen與本地麵包店RISE Boulangerie合作,麵糰每日新鮮運到,再即場烘焙,特製新鮮麵包。法包款式方面,「越式經典」用上了扎肉,而「香茅雞腿」用雞肉絲。兩者比較,我較喜歡「香茅雞腿」,可能是雞腿肉上帶點水份,在吃的時候也比較濕潤。

路過買一客雞肉越南包,麵包好像是由由黃婉曼的生產線提供,不太軟也不太硬。跟出面街那些用超級市場硬法包做的越南三文治是有分別的。雞肉包不太多汁,個人來講我覺得這是十分理想的。因為我好怕食到成手都係。包裡面有辣椒粒和香茜,我覺得吃落令個包無咁寡口。點餐時店員也很貼心地問一聲有辣椒OK唔OK,如果唔鍾意香茜浸味的話,可以同店員講聲。

The store is quite small and definitely a fast joint setting. There are no tables but a high table top for you to stand if you want to fine in. The Portion is definitely enough for a person to finish. The bread is kind of hard so if you prefer you can ask them to heat it up. The taste matches my expectation. The daikon, carrot, parsley, cold cut meat, all mixed well together and it wasn't too sour or too sweet. They had a chilli sauce but I ordered without it.
