The restaurant looked promising from the online pictures and all the positive reviews. That and I was craving a good burger so I made the effort to go there for lunch...
I wonder if the positive reviews are a reflection of the reviewers inability to know what a good burger is… A good burger is more than a trendy looking restaurant (if you can call it that).
1) My burger came out medium “rare”… I am a big meat eater but I had to send the mashy crumbly watery burger back.
2) It was expensive for what you get… 72 dollars for a chili burger + 22 for fries and drinks. The burger was small, fell apart in your hands, and had no flavor.
3) The baskets they came in were so small that there was no where to catch the bits of burger that I was struggling to keep together in my hands.
4) The “chili” was nothing more than a few red chili pepper shavings… no resemblance to the type you may be accustomed to if you know what chili is in the burger sense. Sure that may be their interpretation of chili, but in this context and considering I paid $10 extra for the “chili burger” over the regular burger … blah!
Not to single this place out, but Im a tired of getting suckered into places that offer nothing more than a weak attempt of western classics. I get fooled into going in every so often because they quality of marketing is improving so the place looks somewhat inviting… Then again as I get a little more savvy this is happening less and less.
Bottom line is if you’re looking for a halfway decent burger go somewhere else.
