今天中午沒有叫招牌的「鴛鴦魚頭王」,點了二人套餐 $168,包例湯、兩個肉包子、冷盤、任選兩款小菜及飯,份量頗多。多還多,好唔好食又係另一個課題。

例湯兩碗和兩大個蒸肉包沒拍照,味道乏善足陳。菜乾湯淡茂茂,個蒸包有手掌般大,內裡料卻如雞米般少。誰人又會想吃饅頭般的大包子吃飽呢?!

回歸他們的強項 - 辣,才對辦。冷盤「拍青瓜」,冰凍爽口,麻油足,辣味到位,加哂分。我很怕有些拍青瓜拍得太爛,失去脆口,這個剛好。

It's Fathers' day, and I went there for lunch at 12. No need to wait and the order is placed @ 12:30, the other table entered a bit later than me, and about the same time they placed their order, we waited like 45 mins, before I start to talk to different waiters, I got several different answers, the service was cold and careless, the last waitress told your dish is still queuing, same happens to the other table, and I just simply left. What a waste of time.

豆腐乾很好味!
有些食肆的豆腐乾,要不就是五香粉味太濃,搶過了豆腐的豆香;
要不就是豆腐保存得不好,酸酸臭臭的。
這裏的豆乾,結實而且香滑,豆腐味很濃,。

整頓飯都好好!
惟最失色的,是甜品「糍粑」。
當我們吃飯的中期,侍應已經將糍粑送上桌。
這是甜品,最後才吃的,太早上桌,多放一會糍粑就會變硬。
吃完飯後,再上糍粑,糍粑被翻熱,皮變硬了。
而且,皮很厚!
糯米皮本來有甘香的雞屎藤味道,
但是,糍粑皮又硬又厚,實在失色!

書香門第第三家分店,環境比前兩家好很多,但最可貴的是味道沒有那麼本地化,即使要的微辣還是會讓你辣得過癮,吃完一小時後腸肚依舊火辣辣,再加上酸爽的剁椒和朝天椒提味,不怎麼喜歡辣的老公直接夾辣椒往嘴裡送。

從餐牌中揀來了一道顏色漂亮,對比強烈,紅綠相映的「雪裡紅炒肉末」($68)佐膳,這菜份量甚多,而且不僅顏色悅目,令人食欲大增,味道還很好,加上口感亦佳,結果一大碟的「雪裡紅炒肉末」,都被我吃得蕩然無存。

這兒的飯也有農家特色,是特別的「缽仔飯」($12),雖然價錢稍貴,但熱騰騰的白米飯配以數粒黃澄澄的玉米,以感覺粗糙的缽仔奉客,還是挺別致的。

老婆仔一見到餐牌,便嚷著要試一客五個的「蘑菇包」($58),我當然如她所願。這兒「蘑菇包」的賣相,與自己之前在「唐宮小聚」和 Yum Cha吃過的「菇菌包」一模一樣,維肖維妙,而味道更勝一籌,包子裡面的餡料,有肉有菜,也能使這包變得並不單調。

其實這間米芝蓮一星湘菜館還有不少招牌菜和特式菜,好像「鴛鴦魚頭皇」($168)、「霸王肘子」($228)、「長沙臭豆腐煲」($98)、「砂鍋啤酒鴨」($168),都十分吸引,只可惜老婆仔不大愛吃這些地方菜,看來我得要找些對湘菜有興趣的朋友一起試試才可以多嚐數款這兒的招牌菜和特式菜了。
