My friend has just gotten a promotion, thus he intend to treat me for dinner tonight. As both of us loved oysters, he brought me to Casa Pennington. It was located inside Hotel Pennington by Rhombus, few minutes walk from Causeway Bay MTR.As it specialized in oysters, it has a wide spread of selection for oysters. As it specialized in oysters, it has a wide spread of selection for oysters. Besides that, it offered appetizers, soup, risotto/pasta, main course, desserts and drinks etc.
Alto sauvignon blanc - It was easy to drink and smooth, with slight alcohol content. It was bitterly sweet in taste.
We ordered 3 types of oysters: namibia, woodstown bay and ostra regal. 3 of them was considered fat and juicy, chewy as well. The waiter recommended us to eat namibia, woodstown bay and ostra regal in ascending order, in terms of sea salt after taste.
Lobster bisque - It was creamy and flavourful in taste, with strong lobster taste. Garlic bread was toasted till soft and crispy.
Razor clam and crab meat salad - Salad was fresh and crunchy, mushroom and crab meat was chewy and flavourful, going well with the salad.
Red prawn risotto - Risotto was cooked till very chewy and flavourful, absorbing the essence of the seafood broth. Prawn was fresh and chewy too.
Sea bass - It was pan fried till the skin was very crispy and thin in texture. Fish was very soft and smooth, almost melting in my mouth. The sauce provided helped to enhance the flavour.
