Padron Peppers
This is the fried green peppers topped with some salt. The dish sounds simple and simple is great. The green peppers are fresh and juicy. It matches well with the white wine. I would prefer having a little bit more of the salt to have better flavour.

The breadcrumbed sphere is filled with prawn bisque bechamel. The taste of it is like lobster soup inside. It matches well with the light body red wine.

Classic Tortilla
This is a bit different from the tortilla I had in Barrafina in London. This one is made with Japanese runny egg within. When you cut through it, you can feel a pop and the egg liquid oozes out. I personally prefer the London version, having a better texture and density.

Black Angus Tenderloin
The beef is nicely cooked. The truffle sauce adds extra flavour and richness to the prime beef. The fries have a hint of Indian herb which is quite interesting. The beef goes really well with the red wine.

Bar manager forgot our booking for the birthday party which was made for over 2 weeks ago; made up excuses to cover his fault and just put the 10 of us at a small table! Manager/waiters didn’t want/try to help with the situation! Every waiters at the bar area were rude. They won’t respond to questions/requests; they just listened and walked away.Terrible services and very unpleasant experiences from this place

First, the staffs are very polite and friendly. Also I like their white uniforms. It makes me feel cleanliness, noble and very professional.

Second, when we started to take a look at the menu, the manager Victor came to our table and introduced the daily special. He is thoughtful and caring to ask if we are allergic to anything. One of my friends is Pescetarian so he recommended some seafood for her.

Also, after we finished the food. The chef who came from Spain, came out from the kitchen and greeted us before he served us the dessert.

Last but not least, my friend who traveled to Spain before, told me the food here at Cassio even better than the food she had in Spain.
I would definitely come back again and I would totally recommend it to all of my friends.

早在幾年前認識的西班牙廚師來到這家叫做Cassio當首席廚師,作為他的小粉絲當然要來這裡探一探班兼跟他了解一下近況,這頓晚餐之中充滿著滿滿的祝福,希望他在香港一切順利。當晚當然由他為我們一行三人炮製了好幾款美食,沒記錯價錢也是物超所值的,平均人頭消費約為$300中。在蘭桂坊有情調的地方很多,但又可以晚餐、娛樂場所兼顧的話,相信並不多,這是其中一家做到兩者兼備的餐廳,今次就主要跟大家介紹這邊的美食。 Pan con Tomate ($68) 以橄欖油、西班牙蕃茄跟西班牙切片麵包這三款簡單的材料組成的開胃小食。麵包片相當香脆,即使放的時間長了也不會因此而讓麵包變淋。再者,蕃茄有夠甜的,面頭加入香草跟橄欖油,讓蕃茄食落更為有層次,十分開胃。 Scallop Ceviche ($188) 以日本帶子、炸粟米粒、去皮小蕃茄作為主角,加入橙汁檸檬汁做醬料,把帶子的鮮味帶出來,再者,帶子食落十分彈牙。雖然帶子切到細細粒,但對無損其口感,反而它因為酸酸甜甜的醬料而顯得更為美味。 Beetroot ($88) 紅菜頭是為超級食物,加上首席廚師的精心炮製,味道再普通的食物都變得相當美味,紅菜頭沒有

以橄欖油、西班牙蕃茄跟西班牙切片麵包這三款簡單的材料組成的開胃小食。麵包片相當香脆,即使放的時間長了也不會因此而讓麵包變淋。再者,蕃茄有夠甜的,面頭加入香草跟橄欖油,讓蕃茄食落更為有層次,十分開胃。

Beetroot ($88)

紅菜頭是為超級食物,加上首席廚師的精心炮製,味道再普通的食物都變得相當美味,紅菜頭沒有了草草的味道,反而多了一點自家製的洋蔥汁味,酸酸甜甜,想起也叫人垂涎。

Tortillas De Patata – Classic ($88)

這個經典西班牙奄列用上來自日本的雞蛋,這比起用上外國入口的雞蛋更為新鮮。奄列的外面煎到金黃,香氣逼人。在奄列中間切開,就有蛋黃流出來。這除了是視覺享受外,更是臭覺的沖擊,蛋黃的味道飄逸在空中,叫人蠢蠢欲動。入口的確是蠻有層次的,流心蛋黃當中更有粒粒薯仔跟洋蔥粒,口感豐富。這對我來說是比較新穎的西班牙奄列,十分討好呢!

Juicy Seafood Rice ($198)

究竟一個西班牙炒飯可以有多Juicy?這個西班牙炒飯就體現到了,飯的濕度剛剛好,而且滿滿的是海鮮湯的味道,入口一點也不會乾,而且滿是鮮味。作為澱粉質女孩,這個飯正合我心意。至於飯的餸料相當鮮味,鱈魚入口相當嫩滑可口,蝦十分鮮甜彈牙,蜆大大隻非常鮮甜,叫人喜歡。

Iberico Pork Ribs ($208)

經12小時慢煮,Pork Ribs淋到不用力也可以輕易將骨、肉分離,入口肉味濃郁,加上它的醬料,令Pork Ribs 入口還有陣陣甜味。放在口裡,輕輕咀嚼,肉就溶化在口裡,幾乎每一個味蕾都是滿滿的香氣,是叫人心動的Main Course呢。至於旁邊的Padron Peppers,是西班牙人的日常小食,大廚把這種小食放入菜式當中,讓大家也可以品嚐得到,入口感覺爽爽的,爽度有點像我們的燈籠椒。當時我在想,要是我們也把這種食物當作零食的話,該會健康多了。

Black Angus Tenderloin ($248)

安格斯牛脊肉,肉味香濃而且入口相當淋身,完全捨不得口中這個味道會散掉。玉米粉薯條入口粉粉的,質感蠻特別的。兩者互相配合,口感更是讓人喜歡。

每次食西班牙菜,Churros幾乎都是必備的,雖說是炸的,但它一點也不油膩。個人覺得這個油條再脆一點的話,這個甜品會更為美味。另外,不得不提的是這個甜點上的朱古力醬料,不甜不膩,加在Churros上剛好溶了一點點,味道濃郁。

士多啤梨蛋糕,面層的是類似士多啤梨白朱古力但又比朱古力軟身,記得味道很貼近士多啤梨,是很美味的,中間是士多啤梨海棉蛋糕加上充滿士多啤梨果肉的果醬,整體來說讓人一吃喜歡,不算太甜又不會太膩。旁邊的是不同的果乾,比起平日滿佈糖粉的果乾,這個來得更清甜,加上忌兼更為滑更為有層次。

最後的是焦糖RUM酒蛋糕,把蛋糕上面的試管輕輕一擠,就可以加味道注入蛋糕當中,更可以因應個人喜好而加入不同的份量。

味道真的相當不錯,沒記錯蛋糕中間好像有點類似提子乾又或早紅莓,加入RUM酒之後,蛋糕味道更為香甜,食一口感覺相當滿足。

還有雲呢拿雪糕,香甜幼滑,加入朱古力碎之後口感更是豐富。

又見到我的大廚朋友,又吃到他為我跟朋友炮製及揀定的美食,人頭價又不算貴,又可以聊天聊足一整晚,感謝你,讓我可以棒著肚子滿足地過這一晚。

Arrived at 8:40pm and wanted to walk straight through at the door as others from my party had already arrived but I was stopped straight in the face by their horrible, ungrateful, disrespectful hostess that wouldn’t allow me to get through without checking name of my reservation. I hear that others on OpenRice and other apps have complained about her so..... They seriously should consider changing hostess as she gives the first impression to the guests and sorry to say it’s a very bad one.
