I went for afternoon tea, and here is my experience. Although there was a line to order, I got a table in less than 5 minutes. Overall, it was quite bad, and why suffer when you can go to a chain store cha chaan teng.

Pineapple bun - tasty. Although it's more expensive, maintaining the quality is worth it.👍

Ovaltine- very bland, seems like it has a lot of water added. ❌

Cold Yin Yang (coffee-tea mix) - OK ⭕

French toast- although golden in color, not crispy enough when fried, not as good as it used to be。 Syrup is provided, taste is fine.⭕

Beef brisket noodles - not as good as it used to be, noodles not well coated in sauce but taste is okay, flavorful ⭕

Satay beef strip noodles - a classic dish in Hong Kong-style tea restaurants! Smelled strange, the soup and beef lacked any satay flavor. The beef seemed not fresh. Much worse than a chain store cha can teng. A real disappointment!! ❌‼️

服務非常令人失望,我們在星期六早上排隊10分鐘人龍一直沒有改動,餐廳入邊其實有好幾張空枱,職員完全沒有行動,因為已經等咗好耐所以繼而轉叫外賣,菠蘿蛋包入面有蛋殼,茶走的味道一點不似茶走,食物質素非常差,以後不會幫襯。It’s a very disappointing experience. 天呀✨原來跑馬地的咖啡室還在這種玩法,這家超復古的小店在這裡屹立超過5070年❣
不止有張國榮的簽名,還有不少大家都認識的名人巨星都來過這裡💗重點是這裡性價比真的超高,算是我在香港吃過便宜咖啡室的前三位了🤩

首先介紹嘅係菠蘿油,個外層香脆,配埋入面嗰塊奶油,真係好滿足!👍🏼

滷水雞翼公仔麵 🍜🍗
雞翼滷得入味,肉質嫩滑。公仔麵吸收晒滷水嘅精華,每一啖都充滿濃厚嘅味道,真係好正!😋

煎蛋雪菜肉絲米 🍳🥓
煎蛋雪菜肉絲米,蛋黃仲係半流質狀態,加埋雪菜同肉絲,味道豐富多層次。🍚

凍奶茶 🧋
奶茶香濃滑順,甜度啱啱好,冰涼嘅感覺仲可以消暑,非常解渴!🥤

Got a few 酥皮蛋撻 takeaway from 祥興咖啡室. I ate 2, one cold and one re-heated. The cold one sucked. It was really bad. After re-heated, it tasted more normal. The egg custard was ok and the crust was still a bit crispy. If you buy takeaway, either you eat it at once or reheat it in order not to waste the food. Can tell that they were quite oily from the box!

祥興作為跑馬地最出名的茶餐廳, 這裏在早餐的時候已經要排隊, 裝修就像第一次吃的一樣, 不是裝扮出來的, 而是原本的經典設計. 這裡比較多人批評的, 就是侍應的服務態度以及菠蘿包的水準參差, 今次吃早餐靜靜點了菠蘿油, 以及另一道名物蛋撻. 撇除網紅店這稱呼, 其實感覺還可以. 首先說侍應的服務態度其實正常, 當然不能說是笑容可掬, 但落單以及發餐也不會粗魯, 而且速度夠快, 基本上他們已經熟練人流和環境的控制. 說到菠蘿油和蛋撻, 吃起來還是暖身的, 前者上面的焗皮和後者的酥皮也夠香脆, 最重要是不會一拿起就散開, 保持到整體性. 至於味道就還可以啦, 略嫌後者的蛋香味可以再重一點, 當作是工作前的早餐, 以跑馬地的收入水平來說, 也算是可以的選擇.

一心來試他們的流心蛋菠蘿包,果然沒有令我失望,菠蘿包皮脆內軟,午餐肉雖然偏薄,但煎得香脆,再夾着橙黃色的流心蛋黃,令口感層次更加豐富,菠蘿包的香甜脆皮加上餐肉的鹹香,帶來無限滋味,每一口都令人十分享受。難得山長水遠來到,也順便點了馳名的酥皮蛋撻,蛋漿顏色好靚,食落清甜,如果蛋香更濃就好了;酥皮麻麻,沒什麼味道,整體味道偏淡。來茶餐廳怎能不點奶茶呢?他們的奶茶十分順口,茶底不算很濃,所以欠缺了一點回甘的感覺。餐廳環境很有懷舊冰廳的感覺,假日來坐坐,嘆一口菠蘿油,也算一種不錯的享受。

第二站已蛋撻最出名嘅長興茶餐廳,屹立於跑馬地幾十年,正確幾多10年都唔清楚,裏面嘅裝修睇得出都有一定嘅歷史。午飯時間都唔使等位,我哋三個可以即日仲可以有卡位坐。同事點咗常餐,另外一位點咗蒸飯套餐,我就為咗蛋撻以來,梗係首先叫一個酥皮蛋撻、一份占醬多、熱奶茶。啱啱好$50埋單,香港食嘢真係好貴,加上跑馬地嘅地段,打工仔就係要捱貴飯。蛋撻、菠蘿包等都不停出爐暖暖的酥皮蛋撻拎上手唔會感覺好油,酥皮好靚薄如紙,入口非常鬆脆,富蛋香,甜度正常,水準果然不錯。占醬多冇乜特別純粹用黎係填肚熱奶茶,茶味夠香,花奶合乎比例,合格但$22真心貴。

Dine in during breakfast time on a weekday, there was no queue up and easy to get a seat right away. They didn't rush you to finish your food unlike most cafes in HK even though there was a queue up outside the restaurant. 

Must try their egg tart and HK style milk tea. Pineapple bun with luncheon meat and egg is one of the best I had in HK. Although it is a little far to get here, their food is highly recommended and worth the travel.

香港第一蛋撻。最少,”祥興咖啡室”一定係香港島第一蛋撻。冇辦法,又格攝又排隊又懷舊,已經加分(?),加上啱啱出爐嘅超熱蛋香同唔算油膩嘅酥皮,第一當之無愧。菠蘿油,同樣強勢得誇張,又熱又脆兼帶椰子味嘅菠蘿皮,難怪同時入選最強菠蘿油名單。不過,三點幾就乜都冇,要食襯早。

11:20am 去到,原來11:00am 已無早餐食,食午飯又好似有些早,望想望去枱上個餐牌,心大心細,又見到掛在牆上個午餐餐牌,終於我朋友點了一個午餐,而我自己便叫了一個牛肉蛋蕃茄湯通粉。因為是套餐,有包一杯飲品。我朋友點了籠仔銀魚蒸肉餅飯。上枱時,望落去非常吸引,食落去都非常好味。食完後,離開後,便知道大鑊,一定落了很多味精,因為非常口渴!!!出名的茶餐廳,可能應該食蛋撻,菠蘿包,飲杯嘢可能好些。不過久不久去一次,也應該試試。

有時行過,見舖面古色古香,但這次第一次幫襯堂食,下午茶菠蘿油一試難忘! 這菠蘿油熱、脆,皮的口感穌而不硬,比起其他菠蘿油,包質地較輕和軟,和面皮好夾,不會像其他菠蘿包一樣有吃完面皮剩包不想吃的情況; 牛油夠厚夠冰,和包成對比; 奶茶太濃可能這就是地道茶餐廳味道吧; 裝修極古典,保留了傳統牆磚吊扇卡位,十分喜歡,相信木門和銅把手都用了很多年; 這個食物和環境和地點來說,算是不貴,會再幫襯
