冰室食品來來去去都是咖啡奶茶三文治等, 反而最近才第一次吃所謂的正餐。
意粉餐 ($30) 有幾款配搭, 我吃的是豬扒意粉, 要了茄汁底。
原來這個「茄汁」是有鮮蕃茄件在內的, 是典型的茶記橙色茄汁, 不過就挺淡, 我少有的還要加鹽伴吃。意粉也是一般港式意粉的做法 (即是腍), 豬扒有兩大件但也不是很夠味。凍檸茶 (+$2) 茶底算是普通, 未算濃, 自己比較喜歡澀味較重的。

為了要補拍一些照片, 再來吃個下午茶餐。
平日下午的時間, 整家冰室都擠滿人。
連樓上閣樓都不用來做生意了, 專供顧客上去拍照。
我的蛋治烘底走油 + 咖啡 ($18) 倒是不錯, 走了牛油的多士配炒蛋剛好不太油膩, 咖啡要了少奶的, 仍是覺得稍欠勁兒。倒是今次坐近水吧才發覺水吧原來是石砌的呀, 大家記著要看看這個景點!

吃飽飽之後, 沿樓梯上閣樓, 我還是第一次上去呢。可以想像得到, 當年這裡應是港島東蛇竇的代表。從此鳥瞰樓下的眾生, 也煞有情味。

當然祥利走了, 香港還有不少老冰室的, 但隨著舊區的不斷重建, 該會買少見少了。食物的味道可能不會讓人太印象深刻, 但最值得記取得是熟客跟阿姐的抵死對話, 和經得起時間考驗的裝修。

將要逝去總想挽留, 就用這篇食評來為香港老生活的一章, 留一個記錄吧。

幾天前,報章報道說一間屹立天后已有五十多年的舊式冰室-祥利冰室,將因業主收回物業拆卸,而於本月27日結業。不少人(特別是龍友們)得知這個消息後,都走去該冰室,在嘆美食之餘,也盡情地拍下該冰室的一些事物。我當然也不例外。到了該冰室具上世紀五十年代格調的門口,只見門外已有一些人在等候進內,當中有一些更攜帶照相機而來。走進了該冰室後,內裡的裝修,同樣瀰漫著上世紀五、六十年代的風情,使人有如進入了時光隧道,走回那個時代。除了富懷舊情調的裝修外,我在該冰室內見到的,都是因得知該冰室將要結業而前來懷舊一番的顧客們。既然來到了該冰室,當然要吃點東西啦,我叫了一客特餐,該特餐包括腸仔炒蛋+雪菜肉絲麵+熱華田。特餐端上來後,我先吃腸仔炒蛋+雪菜肉絲麵,發現炒蛋炒得相當嫰滑,但是腸仔就有點硬身了。至於雪菜肉絲麵的雪菜肉絲,份量更是十分之少,但吃下去,質素還是可以接受,公仔麵吃下更是十分香濃、彈牙、爽口。因為個人健康欠佳關係,我叫的熱華田沒有加糖,但喝下去,感覺仍保留著阿華田的原味。由於該冰室結業在即,不少到來該冰室的顧客,都有備而戰,帶來了照相機到來,把冰室內一些別具特色的景物如枱椅、吊扇、舊式收銀機等,

總括來說,該冰室所賣的幌子,其實都不外乎是五十多年來沉澱下來的懷舊氣氛而已,至於食物,整體來說,雖不算得上甚麼佳品,但還是可以接受的。祥利結業在即,也反映了不少人在擁有時視作理所當然,不大特別去注視;當將要失去時,才會利用僅餘的光陰去挽留它-雖然明知這樣做,最後都會是徒勞無功的。不過話說回來,這也是人之常情,我也不例外!況且,透過攝影,讓後代的人,也知道我們曾經擁有一間具五十多年歷史的冰室,也算是一份功勞!

Having known that it would be closed down soon, we took a long ride from the New Territories to Tin Hau to capture some of the last moments of these Hong Kong-style cafes. 1. Spaghetti with Ham in Tomato Sauce:
- the Chinese name of it, "火腿蕃茄燴意粉", was a bit misleading. We thought the spaghetti would be cooked with the tomato sauce, but it turned out to be just some tomato sauce on top. The ham was in shredded form, just like those you can find in the Cha Chaan Teng's breakfast macaroni. We prefer it to be in slice form instead

2. Macaroni with Satay Beef
- I like the beef
The macaroni is a bit too soft though
3. Beef Shank Sandwich
- the beef shank is good too! Don't really find the white bread matches with it, maybe toasting it would be better?
4. Iced Ovaltine
- very watery.....

The food here may not be very outstanding, but it's the high ceiling, the fan, the "train seat", the older-than-me cashier and the authentic and original Hong Kong-cafe atmosphere that matters. I do not "dislike" those replica old Hong Kong cafe/restaurant, but truly hope that there will be no more goodbye to these authentic local cafes.

祥利供應的食物分: 飲品、特飲、甜品、煎蛋、三文治、多士西餅、麥片、意粉、通粉 / 米粉 / 湯意粉 / 湯麵、意粉、飯、早餐和特餐等十多類。飲品方面,除了咖啡、奶茶、檸茶外,還有懷舊的鮮雞蛋水和甜煉奶水,也有近年茶餐廳都有供應的柚子茶和柑桔蜜,價錢由$11-$15不等。這裏供應的特飲有杏仁咖啡、華田咖啡及各式刨冰,價錢也不過$13-$15。所謂的甜品,就是蓮子羹、蓮子蛋茶和牛奶麥片($13-$15)。三文治由最便宜單款味道的$10至最貴的公司三文治$25,而此店的「名物」鹵水牛展三文治也不過賣$14。這裏的多士西餅選擇最多,不過也只是不同口味的多士、餐包罷了,如: 西多士、煎蛋多士、鹵水牛展餐包、火腿餐包、加央多士……($3-$15)。湯粉麵飯的選擇看似很多,但其實也是牛扒、豬扒、雞翼、火腿和餐肉的不同配搭($24-$28)。早餐和特餐的款式跟其他茶餐廳的供應沒有多大分別,價碼為$20及$24。意粉餐看來較划算,豬扒 / 牛扒意才$28,包餐飲。

今天點了茄汁豬扒飯、加央多士、特餐(即: 雪菜肉絲湯米粉連香腸、煎蛋及熱檸水) 、熱杏仁霜及紅豆冰。

豬扒飯($28) – 兩大塊豬扒,頗有鮮肉的味道,醃得入味,雖經「走油」,但沒有太油膩的感覺。煮至全軟的蕃茄和洋蔥,為單調的豬扒起提味作用,不過味道與其他茶餐廳的同類食物沒有多大分別。

香腸煎蛋雪菜肉絲湯米粉($24) – 「走油」後的雞肉腸很香脆,雪菜質素不佳,食味竟有點像梅菜,看來是罐頭貨色。肉絲不見蹤影,只有兩粒丁狀肉碎。煎蛋只是「單春」,蛋黃流心,不過蛋味不足。米粉質素普通,而湯底很清淡,只比清水略有鹹味,可能是溝了很多水的雞湯底。

加央多士($6) – 普通烘白麵包上面塗了薄薄的加央醬和牛油,但只有甜味獨特香味欠奉。

熱杏仁霜($11) – 普通杏仁霜粉以熱水開成,加入淡奶使口感更濃滑,味道清甜帶杏仁香味。

紅豆冰($15) – 煲至軟身又「起沙」的紅豆,份量約為杯子的四分滿,加入淡奶、冰和水。紅豆雖然夠軟身又「起沙」,但不夠甜,而豆味也淡薄,更可惜的是淡奶下得不夠多,所以沒有奶香,整個紅豆冰令人有「魂不附體」的感覺,材料齊全但韻味欠奉。

本想在祥利感受一份老冰室難得的食味,只可惜吃到的味道與一般茶餐廳沒有兩樣。雖然今天我能夠用照片留住祥利的光與影,但食味方面的感覺卻非常模糊。

舊樓紛紛拆卸重建,這間供街坊們吹水打躉兼有閣樓雅座的冰室也被迫在本月廿七日結業而走進歷史,這種舊式冰室關一間少一間,所以今天和老公二人決定趁它關門前到來回顧,勉懷一番。儘管店方並無大肆宣揚即將結業,但消息靈通的食客都紛紛聞風而至,所以店內擠得水涉不通,插針不下,服務員除了不停替客人落單之外,還要續一為食客編排座位,務求位盡其用。在等候食物其間,環顧四周,看見「祥利」的裝修古色古香,座位以木造挨柄卡位為主,正正就是六七十年冰室風格。鹵水牛多士 ($12) -- 用中式的鹵水牛做餡,放入西式的多士內同吃倒是頭一趟,非常有新鮮感。牛鹵得異常入味,鹵水的五香味,甜中帶咸,配合埋牛本身的肉味,平衡得相當好,牛切成薄片,入口有嚼感但又不會過腍,牛筋被鹵水汁的味道滲得滿滿的,入口不單沒有韌的感覺,反而帶點彈牙口感。至於多士雖則烘得不算太鬆化,但仍算外脆內軟,用來夾着牛同吃,滋味無窮。紅豆冰 ($15) -- 即使有報導指一杯紅豆冰含有差不多九茶匙糖,含糖量等於一罐可樂,但紅豆冰是「祥利」的名物,無論如何都要飲番一杯。這裏的紅豆冰味道雖然畧甜了少許,但紅豆分量充足,況且紅豆煮得夠腍又有口感

特餐沙爹牛肉麵配腸仔煎蛋 ($24) -- 牛肉入口嫩滑,一點也感覺不到有梳打粉的味道,而沙爹汁味道濃郁,杰得嚟沒有糊口的感覺。至於麵底相信是用上坊間之大光麵,雖然沒有出前一丁麵般彈牙,但廚子煮麵功夫也挺到家,所以麵條沒有煮得過腍,總算比起街外很多食店的沙爹牛肉麵只是清湯上加幾片牛肉,連丁點沙爹味都沒有來得有誠意。至於腸仔煎蛋就煮得較為粗枝大葉,腸仔和蛋都只是稍稍煎過便放進麵上,同快餐店水準不相伯仲。不過可能今天食客實在太多,厨房都做得有點踢腳,連這碟麵都追過兩次才補送上檯,所以偶有過失,也是可理解的。
凍奶茶 (+$2) -- 凍奶茶一向也不是我杯茶,聽說一杯好的奶茶,紅茶與牛奶最適當的比例為 5:1,我不清楚這裏的茶與奶比例,不過這杯奶茶喝起來雖則茶味未算濃郁,但就非常順喉,飲落口感幼滑,只是甜度稍稍過高,不過程度絕對可以接受。
所謂「千里送君,終須一別」,未知今次一別,將來後會是否可期,唯有嘆句「人有悲歡離合,月有陰晴圓缺,此事古難全,但願人長久,千里共嬋娟」。

每三數個月都會黎天后這一帶所以大大話話黎開祥利食野都有四,五年時間最近得知這裡要結業的消息真叫人傷感香港又少一間好既舊式冰室喇 以往多是跟好兄弟一起來, 即使今天反是自己一個來也不壞如常地叫了常餐的沙嗲牛麵+熱奶茶, 講真黎咁多次除左有一兩次食飯外都係食常餐可能因電視節目也有提及這裡結業關系, 今天比平時異常的多人我的沙嗲牛麵也異常地等了15-20分鐘也來但是今天也異常的享受等耐那過程, 一來好讓我拍拍照, 二來心知此情此境很難再有了老實說, 沙嗲牛只屬ok多點的質素, 但那條腸就就真是棒,很classic, 記著要慢慢感覺腸仔的皮與肉那種口感麵印象中已經不是用數年前最classic 最typical 的那種大光麵了, 其實整體還不錯的吃罷我的常餐, 結賬時還向店員問准了到閣樓拍照留念再見了, 祥利 ! 以往多是跟好兄弟一起來, 即使今天反是自己一個來也不壞
如常地叫了常餐的沙嗲牛麵+熱奶茶, 講真黎咁多次除左有一兩次食飯外都係食常餐


可能因電視節目也有提及這裡結業關系, 今天比平時異常的多人
我的沙嗲牛麵也異常地等了15-20分鐘也來
但是今天也異常的享受等耐那過程, 一來好讓我拍拍照, 二來心知此情此境很難再有了

老實說, 沙嗲牛只屬ok多點的質素,
但那條腸就就真是棒,很classic, 記著要慢慢感覺腸仔的皮與肉那種口感
麵印象中已經不是用數年前最classic 最typical 的那種大光麵了, 其實整體還不錯的

吃罷我的常餐, 結賬時還向店員問准了到閣樓拍照留念
再見了, 祥利 !

可以既話我都希望月尾結業前可以黎多次

常餐 Set Meal -
Everywhere you go in the world, if you can spot a 冰室 or a Cha Chaan Teng, you will see the 常餐 offering, which more often than not comprises of a Satay Beef with noodles or vermicelli, some kind of Eggs and Ham or Sausage, as well as a Drink of sorts included.

As mentioned in my previous 祥利冰室 review, the Satay Beef here does not really have much satay taste. It is also a little bit sodarised, meaning it loses about half of its beefy taste, so its not completely natural. The same Satay Beef in a toasted sandwich has worked pretty well for me before (see attached: Old Photo), but in a bowl of vermicelli with a blandish soup to dilute it all - this really underperformed as it became just floating pieces of protein without much traceable origin.
The sausage was average and commercial, but the egg was fried below-average for sure: it was broken, messy and very petite. For what might possibly be the last tea I have here at this favourite place of mine, I think this disappointed me as a goodbye meal.

奶茶 HK Milk Tea -
This is pretty bitter yet sour on the finish, nor milkily smooth, nor aromatic, but the redeeming feature is that it was strongish - a barbarian version of a tea but somehow toned back down to earth with a fair bit of evaporated milk swirling but not properly mixed in on top. The funniest thing which occurred is, I couldn't work out why it seemed to carry some traces of coffee bean taste in the cup, although its nowhere as obvious as the one in 長沙灣's新華茶餐廳, which had even a much stronger coffee taste in its Tea (!), but no one seemed to notice.


蛋卷 Roll Cake -
For $4.0 only, this was cheap but was it good, that's the golden question?
It was ok I suppose but not outstanding but I will happily eat it for what it is. Its definitely not the prime representative of HK style roll cakes available, and certainly won't compete head on with the Patisseries or the Roll Cake Shops versions, but then again its $4.0 and roughly only 15-20% of the price of those and it probably carried around 40% of the taste! So yes its a bargain and edible.

I THINK THEIR TOASTED SANDWICHES ARE STILL ONE OF THE BEST ONES AROUND AND PERHAPS I SHOULD HAVE STICKED STRICTLY TO THOSE! THERE IS STILL TIME TO REVISIT HERE - AND IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN YET, ITS PROBABLY THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE ON IN ON THE ACTION BEFORE IT CLOSES....

祥利是我最喜歡的茶餐廳之一, 雖然到目前為止我只去過兩次. 喜歡它的位置, (有隔離鄰舍的感覺); 喜歡它的優哉悠哉, (可以慢吃慢活); 當然更愛它讓我恍如穿過時光隧道, 同時也看到歲月的痕跡. 這天雖然很多人, 還要有很多人在拍照, (包括我自己), 而我和朋友還要坐在最近門口那一張枱, 但我們還是從容不迫地坐了個半小時, 吃了一頓愜意的下午茶. "好的東西通常都不持久." 真的是這樣嗎? 讓我們好好珍惜祥利餘下的30(減一)天...... 我也多謝祥利, 促成了我的第一篇"開飯食評".

三月下旬雖然不能認同茶不夠香、啡不夠濃的茶餐廳作風,作為設有「茶水檔」的茶記,茶香是基本要求。撇開不香濃的茶,這裡的招牌脆薄多牛腱確是不錯的,多士烘得脆脆,而牛腱聰明地作薄切,吃起來入味不著渣,易入口,是討好的老香江味道,有喜有悲的茶記味道將於網誌 http://foodxfile.blogspot.com 中分享。

早上去了送貨,回到以前的公司附近,要找點好吃的才行。路經bubble factory,打定主意要去喝咖啡,但不想吃包,一會再過來吧,於是就去了祥利去。早上吃了個難食的美心早餐,於是就不想再吃那些炒蛋,米粉了。最後我選了牛展通粉。上桌時覺得很有趣,因為汁是淋在牛展上的。湯本身都已經很鮮甜,再加上那些汁,很好吃。連通粉也有咬感,好久沒吃過這種有用心做的通粉了!牛展沒半點柴皮的感覺,浸在湯內,熱食也很不錯!店子內都是街坊,互相打招呼,坐卡位的婆婆,一坐下來說了一句要米粉,姐姐就知道她要什麼了,這種默契,在連鎖店出現的機會真的不多吧..。
