上星期到海洋公園夏水禮玩到樂而忘返,今個星期 encore 再玩一遍。雖然海龍王餐廳的半自助餐有一定吸引力,但因下午家庭聚會才吃過自助餐,總不能晚上又吃多一遍。與友人商議後,最後決定徒步至 Ovolo 酒店試試其 CIRQLE 西餐廳。 Ovolo 屬精品酒店,設計講求時尚風格。CIRQLE 作為旗下餐廳,裝潢上也貫切同一風格。電梯門一打開,首先見到的是型格的藍色裝飾燈。餐廳内部 causal 簡約,喜愛吹吹風的朋友可移步至室外用餐區進餐。 CIRQLE Caesar with Chicken 製作平實清爽,水準合乎預期。Lamp Chops 選材大件,面上的麵包糠脆香吸引。羊架沒有令人不悦的羶味,並有鬆軟的口感。建議食鹽調味可稍稍放輕一點。Sirloin in Mushroom Sauce 保持西冷應有的嚼勁,七成熟度亦保留少量肉汁享受,加上肉味濃香,大家也滿意。 Cheese Burger 的漢堡扒厚身,但肉汁及醬汁份量不足,芝士亦不夠給力,不太滿意。Mini Beef Burgers 與 Penne Napolitana 勻是兒童餐,前者只是迷你版的 Cheese Burger,相信質素也差不多。Penne Napolitana 是橄欖蕃茄長通粉,以鐵板盛載夠熱辣,但對小朋友來説有點單調。 Red Rice 是在港醸造的啤酒,酒色比一般啤酒深沉,味道輕盈易於入口。因在坊間很少見,可把握機會試試。CIRQLE 作為酒店餐廳,環境衛生富一定水準,食品大體上交出應有的功課。最後算一提餐墊的問題,黑色紙餐墊在濕水後竟然有甩色的情況,需留意一下!

話晒係同老細做生日,後備方案係拉大隊出金鐘食,好彩黃竹坑有呢間Cirqle, 就唔使舟車勞頓。Cirqle在Ovolo hotel 4樓,我估算係4星左右既boutique hotel? 嗯……lunch menu 有set都有a la carte : 頭盤:chicken lollipops 有份4隻,兩位同事點左我地5個人就share。eggplant parmaiana 有蕃茄蓉和芝士,都好好味 主菜:我既主菜係citrus and herbed crusted salmon。味道唔錯,如果魚肉的口感可以再滑溜D就perfect. 甜品:加錢要左個Tiramisu, 但麻麻地,我自己整既都好味過佢……好大原因係無咖啡酒味,手指餅乾爭爭。可以係黃竹坑搵到個環境唔錯既地方食餐好既都開心架。ps.佢係open kitchen , 油煙控制唔好,飄晒出黎好大味

新界人第一次搭南港島線,星期六晚8點一出地鐵其實都幾荒蕪,工廠區大部分餐廳都已關門,連7仔都已收工~ 上到Ovolo部lift已睇得出非常hip~ 一開lift門那陣藍光令人非常期待餐廳非常寬敞,外面有outdoor位,可惜這晚有雨又有熱,如果秋冬在外面應該幾chill~頭盤選擇了Scallops還有Tuna Niçoise salad兩款都不過不失~值得一提的配帶子的洋蔥及薯蓉都非常好味。Medium的lamp chop煮的剛剛好,脂肪與肉的比例、調味料都合我心水,不韌又惹味!伴碟的薯仔調味豐富,重口味的人應該食唔停口!mushroom agilo bucatini 對我來說偏辣,菇份量頗多,bucatini質感夠彈牙。另加$45的side dish - seasonal vegetables份量比想像中多,味道正常。bitter chocolate tart 配鮮無花果及開心果雪糕,朱古力味很濃,算是很不錯的收結

參考了食評,老遠由堅尼地城到黃竹坑那家酒店餐廳試菜,點了很創新的日式餐單,兩頭盤加4串日式串燒,味味創新好吃,份量亦足,四人到來的話,點3個餐已夠食。職員亦友善親切有耐性,是一個很好的用餐經歷。必定會再去。

finally checked out this hotel in my neighborhood last Saturday. really chic decor and quiet. it is a Japanese themed menu until May, and the price for the weekend is higher than weekday, but is still reasonable for this type of boutique hotel. I tried the chicken karaage (fried chicken) sliders and the miso cod taco. Both tasted very good and fusion inspired. the portion is for two people to share ~ so I was stuffed. also got the Japanese red rice craft beer ~ which is sweeter and less bitter. the best part of this restaurant would be the view. would go back again. hope to try their western menu after they renovate in the summer
