新界人第一次搭南港島線,星期六晚8點一出地鐵其實都幾荒蕪,工廠區大部分餐廳都已關門,連7仔都已收工~ 上到Ovolo部lift已睇得出非常hip~ 一開lift門那陣藍光令人非常期待餐廳非常寬敞,外面有outdoor位,可惜這晚有雨又有熱,如果秋冬在外面應該幾chill~頭盤選擇了Scallops還有Tuna Niçoise salad兩款都不過不失~值得一提的配帶子的洋蔥及薯蓉都非常好味。Medium的lamp chop煮的剛剛好,脂肪與肉的比例、調味料都合我心水,不韌又惹味!伴碟的薯仔調味豐富,重口味的人應該食唔停口!mushroom agilo bucatini 對我來說偏辣,菇份量頗多,bucatini質感夠彈牙。另加$45的side dish - seasonal vegetables份量比想像中多,味道正常。bitter chocolate tart 配鮮無花果及開心果雪糕,朱古力味很濃,算是很不錯的收結

finally checked out this hotel in my neighborhood last Saturday. really chic decor and quiet. it is a Japanese themed menu until May, and the price for the weekend is higher than weekday, but is still reasonable for this type of boutique hotel. I tried the chicken karaage (fried chicken) sliders and the miso cod taco. Both tasted very good and fusion inspired. the portion is for two people to share ~ so I was stuffed. also got the Japanese red rice craft beer ~ which is sweeter and less bitter.

天氣開始凍凍到 絕對岩坐outdoor
一盞小小既燈 Table for Two ;) 間餐廳人唔算多
ttl 得4-5 台 每台都有足夠空間
如果怕凍既朋友可以考慮坐入面 對住open kitchen
Outdoor 浪漫 indoor 就感覺cozy

前菜叫左salmon Tartar with nachos
Salmon tartar 配佢酸酸辣辣既汁 超開胃
另外叫左 Quail egg 十分驚喜 佢係流心嫁!

之前聽同事講restaurant week 食野會好抵,就上網check 下,甘岩我地上星期又住過呢間酒店,所以就試下。地點比較遠,幸好樓下有車直接去到。我地一行3 人去食,好處可以試哂套餐入面的野。 首先就有田螺配薯蓉 Escargot pan:初初以為成個田螺甘出,但好細心甘佢地全部都去埋殻,一來唔洗整污糟對手,二來可以令調味更加入味,呢個絕對可以叫。第二樣墨西哥式油甘魚 Hamachi Ceviche:賣相色彩奪目,黃紅色的是炸墨西哥薄條,再加上油甘魚,放在叫一脆一軟.... WOW... 呢個唔係重點,重點係佢的熱情果醬! 係絕配!令人一試難忘!第三樣 蘑菇濃湯 mushroom soup遠處已聞到佢濃濃的蘑菇味, 一飲真的是碗好濃郁的蘑菇湯,再加上烤到香脆可口的包浸落去個湯裏面再食!全部湯索哂係哂個包到!食落去一流!如果可以有多一塊就好啦!到主菜 我食左個sea bassCorn puree 做唔唔錯, 海鱸魚本身都算油的,但配菜配搭適宜,所以一D 都唔油膩!最但kale 咸左D,tomato salsa 可以整辣少少。另外2 位朋友都點左 grilled steak 呢個好

第三樣 蘑菇濃湯 mushroom soup
遠處已聞到佢濃濃的蘑菇味, 一飲真的是碗好濃郁的蘑菇湯,再加上烤到香脆可口的包浸落去個湯裏面再食!全部湯索哂係哂個包到!食落去一流!如果可以有多一塊就好啦!

到主菜 我食左個sea bass
Corn puree 做唔唔錯, 海鱸魚本身都算油的,但配菜配搭適宜,所以一D 都唔油膩!最但kale 咸左D,tomato salsa 可以整辣少少。

呢個好味到無得彈!綠色的spicy sauce 配個牛排都係第一次食,估唔到可以廿夾。佢個椰菜花一上枱以為係爆谷,佢全部一粒粒甘,下面個個係乳酪薄荷醬,好清新的味道。讚!不過分量細咗啲!

番石榴意式奶凍 guava panna cotta:
食落酸酸地,因為底係士多啤梨啫喱,算係最清新的甜品,唔會太膩,太食耐左好似有些少藥水味。

蘋果金寶apple crumble pan:
玉桂味唔重,配上開心果雪糕,是3 個甜品最好食的一款。

抺茶芝士餅 matcha cheesecake:
最伏的一款甜品! 食落冇抺茶味,似香蕉味多啲!佢的紅豆雪糕過甜,應該係自家制!3 款中是最甜、最膩的甜品,如果你係綠茶fans一定會大失所望。

P.S 記得要起碼一星期前book , 因為都好full, 有時想改人數都有難度!
下次可以試下a la carte menu! 之前朋友食過好讚好!

If you're looking for a hamburger in Wong Chuk Hang, you'll have no choice but to come to Cirqle. Unfortunately, the chefs don't seem to have bothered researching how to make a great sandwich. It will always be hard to compete with burger joints on the north side due to location. But it would not be hard to do better than the best north side burger either, and create a sandwich which might draw more people to this hotel's unusual and quirkily enjoyable ethos and facilities.

I have been wanting to visiting the Ovolo Southside for quite some time and CIRQLE being the HongKong Restaurant Week winner for Best Menu in Category B gave me the perfect excuse to do so. I made reservation 8 days in advance just in case the restaurant was in high demand on a Sunday night. Our family was really looking forward to spend a nice evening at OVOLO - expectations were high but realistic for boutique hotel type dining.

What a disappointment!
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a male host who promptly tried to seat us next to the brightly lit fire escape, in front of the coffee station. We objected immediately and told the host that we made our reservation way in advance. He then announced that there is no walk-ins for Restaurant Week guest and that reservations were all made in advance. He then murmured that all seats were reserved that evening by guest who either wanted to seat in the sofa area or by the window. Reluctantly he bought us to the next table and seated us there......all this took place while the whole restaurant was empty except for one table who guests were about to leave.
The restaurant was fully empty when my husband walked in, he arrived later because he had to park next door as the hotel parking was closed for a special event. Upon entering, he was greeted by the same unfriendly host. We then proceed to order from the Restaurant Week menu while I can't help noticing the same host were moving chairs and arranging table setting for a western couple with a stroller who just walked-in. They were seated in a sofa area that can comfortably seat 6 adults. #whiteprivilege
Food arrived and it was really nothing to rave about. City Super definitely does a better version of the foie gras terrine while serving sea bass with a few slices of chorizo sausages got me really confuse, maybe their version of surf and turf. The dessert tasted stale, I was afraid to bit down to the crumble fearing they might chip my teeth. This was definitely an unforgettable experience for all the wrong reasons.
Other Info. : *This place is lame. Don’t know why it has four stars, a terrible host and mediocre food means I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK.

BBQ有蔬菜就不用多介紹了。BBQ主要都是肉類為主,有西冷,羊架,京都骨,豬頸肉和Mahi Mahi Fish。
Mahi Mahi Fish是第一次食,上網查了中文叫鬼刀頭魚,是夏威夷的魚類。這種魚肉質非常滑嫩,口感與鱈魚相似。
西冷肉味重又多肉汁。其他肉類都很好味。
另外BBQ醬汁非常多,其中有4種是Home made,味道非常特別。

甜品款式少,只有5種,對於我這個甜品控的人來說有些失望。
甜品最好食的是南瓜批和肉桂卷。南瓜批味道非常清淡,只有少少甜,南瓜味濃。肉桂卷其中是曲奇餅,口感香脆,而且甜度低,感覺這間餐廳造的甜品都很健康。
不過最遺憾的是我沒有吃到Ginger Man Cookies。相片是我取熟食的時候影,但由於我胃口很大,所以都比其他人遲吃甜品,到我吃的時候,已經十時多,餐廳沒有再refill食物了。
