去楼上的洗手间发现其他桌几乎都点了pizza,看来下次应当试一试这里的pizza。不过这里价格并不算便宜,口感却颇让人失望,港岛又好餐馆林立,也不知道还有没有下次了。

我告訴她我點的時間約4時多,她過去cashier走了一圈,然後回來第二個答案:

非常合情合理,清楚明白的規矩!

先叫了這個Peppered Rare Beef Salad, 菜很新鮮爽口, 三分熟的牛肉很好吃, 肉質滑嫩, 上面的芝士配菜也是很好吃

white mould type cheese是我很喜愛吃的芝士, 最愛brie, 其次是camembert
餐牌裡的baked camembert真的很吸引, 就叫了一份. 他們是把原盒camembert拿去烤, 加上蒜, 橄欖油跟迷迭香

Brie De Meaux, white mould cheese的一種, 比起camembert, 我更喜歡吃brie, 因為brie乳香較多, 發酵味比較少
被封為芝士之王的brie de meaux我很喜歡, 濃郁的奶酥味道於我來說是一種幸福的味道呢
塗麵包很好吃, 但我更愛塗在餅乾上, 或是烘過的麵包上
Tome de Bordeaux
羊奶芝士好吃的地方在於他們的奶酥味滲著濃厚的羊奶味, 所以也選了一款
奶酥味非常突出, 但比起這個我也能接受再濃味一點的goat cheese
Roquefort
blue cheese也是我喜歡吃的, 其味道黴味很重, 愛的人就很愛啦, 跟臭豆腐一樣
我吃過不好的blue cheese, 入口太鹹又帶苦味. 這裡的roquefort既濃醇又甘鮮

相比起這裡的芝士不是很細很滑的那種, 不過就來得更有質感
真的很好吃! 配料雖然簡單但就已經很滿足

這是我心目中的芝士天堂 (雖然那個cheeseroom很小, 不過呢發現這邊的菲籍店員不太喜歡招待中國人
不是說她們服務得差, 而是對著中國人跟外國人真的很有分別
如果下次再來, 也應該只吃他們的芝士菜式吧, 自己太愛吃了

Linguine with sausage, mushroom on white wine sauce。Linguine略嫌煮得過腍,黏性有點強。sausage的味道有點像M記的豬柳漢堡,也不是說不好吃,可以醬汁本身已經頗濃稠,再加上煮過頭的意粉,影響了口感,越吃越漏。

burrata + tomato + rockets配上意大利黑醋汁,burrata賣相很吸引,不過吃起來我覺得這個burrata奶香和鹹香都不太夠,味道略淡,又不夠流心,反而要靠配蕃茄火箭菜再添加少許杰身的黑醋汁,味道才出來,真有點奇怪。

這一次的芝士經歷只屬一般,難怪是選錯了 在上層看到不少芝士,也有一個芝士餐牌介紹不同種類的芝士,我想這芝士專門店只是偶然失手吧,下一次要再來試其他芝士。

Moroccan Lamb with fruit, spices and lemon-herb couscous($94) - 羊肉以濃茄醬和香料燉煮過,但也許是因為用的部位本身偏硬,所以就算炆煮多久,也是無補於事,軟稔點會更好!醬料是茄醬底,在加上四色椒和香料等,充滿異國情懷.北非小米cous cous帶點酸味,少顆小顆的也爽口非常.以它伴以濃味醬汁吃,其實好食過撈飯!

來到Cheese room,當然是要吃芝士了!簡單的cheese platter有大中細三種,分別有三,五,七種芝士選擇,附以麵包和quince jam等等,可以到二樓的芝士房親自選擇要甚麼,如果毫無頭緒的話,店員也可以幫忙介紹.我雖愛吃芝士,但對各種產地,質感,味道等等還是知道很少很少,所以看著面前滿牆的芝士,還真不知所措!

芝士專門店就是專門店,對芝士的保存做得很好,也可以因為耗量大turnover快,所以也比較新鮮,每款芝士都比在外面吃到的濃香得多.Camembert中心呈半溶狀,味道帶點果仁味,是最易入口的品種.hard cheese的cheddar,味道最為集中,但不酥不臭,反而滿是醇滑香味.而其貌不揚,看似最臭的blue stilton,第一口會覺得帶點攻鼻,但過後卻是咸香十足,是比較重口味沒錯,但重得來很過癮!

隨著天氣變好,客人也越來越多,外賣的堂吃的都不少,小店更見擁擠.一直坐的位置又不舒服,所以也沒甚勁坐很久,很快就走了.其實食物質素真的很不錯,尤其有芝士成份的更是出色.

但,店員的服務態度,真的令人不爽.先是面色大都黑黑的,服務速度也不快,本來還以為因店內繁忙以致煩躁,是可以理解的.但當看見店員對待外籍客人的態度,好像比對我們時好很多,滿臉笑容的動作又爽快,,心中不禁懷疑-難道是我們的東方人臉孔,嘴裡說的廣東話,令我們像cheeseroom裡的芝士一樣,被分類了?

不過,食物質素確是幾好,尤其那吃不完的芝士collection,我想我還是會再來的.

Tasted very fresh and crisp, however the chicken was just a tad too dry and overcooked for my liking. Only gripe is that you don't get free refills on iced lemon tea (boo).

Friends ordered the spinach salad which had a generous amount of blue cheese on it and bacon, and the other friend ordered a carbonara pasta that looked and smelled delicious (but heavy). We also splurged on the cheeses (since this is a cheese shop) and got to experience the cheese fridge upstairs. Not a huge fan of cheese, however if I was, I am sure this is the place to be.

Overall, great joint to relax and read the paper. Nice cozy atmosphere and good food.

I had the Eggs Royale with smoked salmon. It was quite a small portion, but enough for a small girl like me. The hollandaise sauce had a nice colour and consistency, which seems rare in HK! The egg was also properly poached with a nice runny yolk. Not much smoked salmon though.

My partner had 2 eggs with toast soldiers. The eggs were soft-boiled as advertised, again with a nice runny yolk. Very small eggs though, with only 2 slices of bread. Definitely not enough food for anyone hungry! Luckily he ordered a side of sausage.

My friend had the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. It was the best out of the three dishes, with lots of creamy scrambled eggs and a huge slice of smoked salmon.

We found the laid-back atmosphere, prices and breakfast to be better than Press Room next door (we went there last week for breakfast)

經過多次波折,終於與友人來到這個芝士愛好者的勝地。我們點了一個Peppered Rare Beef Salad,Baked Camerbert和一個Small Cheese Platter。芝士拼盤可以在芝士房內任選三款。芝士房比我想像中來得少,但五臟俱全。Wash-rinded, Aged, Blue, Goat, Sheep, Cow一應俱全。但始終不及Caprice的一輛少少的芝士車。選畢芝士,沙律已放在桌上。菜新鮮爽口,牛肉鮮嫩,可惜黑椒太多,連吃得辣的友人都投訴。若不是芝士愛好者,千萬別點Baked Camembert。它是整個Camembert Cheese拿去焗,香軟奶酥,但頗膩。配上的烘麵包比另外送沒烘的好吃多,可惜份量不夠,到後來只好空口吃芝士。下次來必定再吃﹗但要有三人以上,可多試點其他。最後送來我們的芝士拼盤,芝士的保存還算不錯。沒有出現乾硬粉化的情況。但我還是希望他們可以跟克力架或烘過的麵包給我。
