Cupping Room Coffee Roasters (普慶坊) (Closed)

Once in a while we would like to try the breakfast various cafes in town, so We picked a weekend to visit CUPPING ROOM to try their coffee and breakfast, I went for the “egg on toast” With espressowhile my husband chose the “butter and jam toast”☕️ with his favorite filter coffee. Both coffees and meals were a very surprising, The portions and the taste are both of very good quality plus a very nice environment to chill us up on the weekend morning. 💪🏻

上環一帶都有不少有格調的咖啡廳，今次就試試這間自稱 “Word’s second best coffee” 的The Cupping Room.食物唔算平，一個Avocado toast都要過百蚊。我同友人點了： Avocado on Toast with Poached Egg, Egg Benedict 同埋Mocha.Avocado on Toast with Poached Egg $128 味道偏淡，sour dough 唔會太乾身，而且加了少量烘過的almond, 所以食落有少少烘焙的味道，依點值得一讚！不過整體真係冇咩味。Egg Benedict with Smoked Salmon $128 都係同一個問題 - 味道太淡！個荷蘭汁質感太稀，而且三文魚也只是薄薄的一片，整體味道一般，不太推介點這個！Mocha $48入口順滑，略嫌太苦，而且沒有朱古力味。值得一讚的是食物同埋咖啡的presentation真係好靚好有風格，而且環境算舒服！可惜價錢與質素不成比例！

So I came here and one egg over toast is like 69HKD. With avacado it is 108. Nonsense kind of price. The coffee is around 30-40 which sounds normal but the portion is at least 1/3 less than most of the coffee shops. So add together this place charges the same as fuel in IFC.

The Cupping Room有數間分店，名聲不錯。來到普慶坊分店，可能位於山上，人流較少，地方寬敞，反而更舒適店子走簡約型格風，裡面還有一台超巨型炒豆機! 也歡迎客人購買店方自家出產的炒豆。點了手沖咖啡 $45這款手沖以果味mango, apricot為主，味道清淡偏酸，帶少許lavender花香味，容易入口呷一口用心沖泡的咖啡，看著外面球場正在上體育課的小學生們，天真歡欣地跑跑跳跳，也未嘗是另一種美景

I love to explore unique streets and buildings in Central and Sheung Wan. Finding a nice cafe to sit down during a break is like having water in a desert. To me, this cafe is just like that. It's location is not easy to find but you will find it worth your time and effort in the end. Single origin coffee is sold at such a reasonable price with a choice of beans (some are more expensive than others). The egg benedict and French toast are the best I had in town. Very nicely cooked with beaut

朋友同我講呢度嘅咖啡唔錯，喜歡飲咖啡嘅我，當然會嚟呢度試吓啦！不過估唔到嘅係，原來呢度除咗咖啡唔錯之外，食物都比我好大嘅驚喜。呢度嘅食物、環境、氣氛、服務、咖啡嘅質素都十分之好，遲啲都想去其他分店試吓。

某方面來說或許是運氣好，其實離下塌飯店較近的是The Cupping Room Sheung Wan分店，刻意找還錯過兩次，仔細看地圖才發現雖地址寫Queen's Road，其實還得拐個小彎才會看到，小小的店面，開始營業沒多久就擠滿不少人，說實在的看起來不太舒適，少了咖啡店該有的放鬆氛圍，反而快速外帶一杯還合適些，不如多走些路程，趁著早晨散步去The Cupping Room Roastery，空間大多了，而且早上九點就開始營業，正好能避開人潮，也剛好是需要杯咖啡醒腦的時段。陽光的熱氣剛起，流連一夜的濕氣隨著日照蒸發，快了，再幾步路就是The Cupping Room Roastery，旁邊有塊綠地，沒想到紛擾的街道轉幾個彎竟有處可以喘口氣的小天地，途中遇到幾個帶狗散步的外國人，其中有個主人進門，原本要外帶咖啡所以把狗留在門外，大概轉念想坐下來歇息片刻，店家確認狗不會亂叫後，多了一隻乖巧的柴犬加入這充滿咖啡香的空間。這般愜意，大概是在Sheung Wan分店絕對找不到的，流下幾滴汗水多走的幾步路，值得。踏進店內，除了飄散於空氣中淡淡的咖啡香氣，還有店員神清氣爽的招呼聲 "Good mo

是日同同事去食lunch，由於喺附近返工，平時又係食茶餐廳比較多，所以今次想試吓其他，然後經過啲間coffee Shop，就入嚟試吓了我們每人叫咗一個lunch set，分別係一個意粉配一杯咖啡，真係要讚下呢間野嘅意粉，味道有驚喜上邊係Mushroom with Spinach creamy sauce，$98，有少少辣辣地，但係同蘑菇和蔬菜醬配合得好好下邊係Pan-fried Chicken Breast with Garlic Creamy Sauce，$108，都好好味，雞肉和白汁配合得不錯，口感不錯，另外咖啡都好好飲，總體來講價錢合理，值得再嚟

這天是Blue Monday! 很想喝杯咖啡... 來到上環這個文青味道很重的地方,  也不難找到一些cafe!估不到一段時間沒有來的普慶坊, 竟然開了Cupping Room! 我完全沒有再考慮其他的便立即衝門而入, 哈哈... 大落地玻璃透入天然陽光, 加上樓底高, 感覺好舒服! 店員哥哥有善示意我cashier枱上的menu, 我忍不住問這店開張的日子, 原來已經有兩個月了! 這天我簡單點了自己喜歡的熱mocha, 店員哥哥還叫我先坐下, 因他弄好會親自送來! 很不錯呢!之後還送上一瓶凍開水和杯子~ 可讓我喝完咖啡後清清喉嚨嗎?! 真的太貼心了!雖然熱mocha很細杯,  而且味道比一般的重咖啡味, 也不算甜; 但對於我這天特別需要一杯可口咖啡, 再配上舒服寧靜的環境下品嚐, 實在是滿分!
