頭盤要龍蝦湯,友人要是日餐湯,這天是磨菇湯.這個龍蝦湯酒香味鮮,一口盡是干邑的芳香,加龍蝦的鮮味.口感不算細滑,當然不是最好,但比坊間其他地方出品出色.

檯上有兩款牛扒刀,雖然不是在晚市吃靚牛,正所謂殺雞豈能用牛刀,但在這些細微位,也看得出這間扒房的態度.我方的一把就比較重手,友人的一把刀,拿上手比較輕盈,可能女生之關係,牛扒刀也要用得輕一點.沒有如洲際的環球芥辣陣,不過也有兩款芥辣可供選擇.

主菜大家也是要個US Prime Iron Flat 10oz,在午市吃十安士牛扒,感覺有點過重.牛扒之外配菜有些雜菜同薯茸,再加一小兜蛋黃醬.先看牛扒,燒得色水均勻不過焦,小弟事先要求五成熟,一切開,看見誘人的嫣紅色,血水隨之滲出,很對辦.急不及待吃一口,肉質軟稔,肉味濃郁.外層夠焦口.塗些帶點蜜糖味的芥辣,頓時錦上添花.

S說:{你是否為吃芥辣而吃牛扒?}我回答:{又不是,但我是那些為吃辣椒醬而去吃炒麵的人.}說罷,她竟給我全部薯茸,她說不起此味,而我又好此味.最後伴以蛋黃醬同吃,薯茸的味道立竿見影.十安士加薯茸,飽到動彈不得.

甜品為朱古力Brownie,外脆內軟,但好像沒有雪糕?

兩個人兩個餐,加杯House wine,應是預算之內,但當侍應端上帳單,細看原來前奏的挪威礦泉水,要$80一支.酒店嘛,差不到了.這支挪威冰川水.在Great買都要幾十塊錢一支.喝罷是否真是皮光肉滑?我平日也是喝屈水或飛雪,也是如此.喝水的意義,幾時弄到如此複雜?男女之間的感情也是一樣,單純一點也不可以嗎?

既嘆有情飲水飽,也要拿錢來交水費.

I accidentally discovered this brand new steak house in Central and instantly fall in love with it. The food quality and service can be rated "superb"! No wonder, it's Chef Adam Levin's new creation! I've been back already 3 times in 2 weeks before their official opening last Thursday. The set lunch menu is decently priced and the food is substantial, unlike some "cheap" eateries in Hong Kong. For starters, try the soups... they are creamy and delicious! The crab cake is small, but with very fresh and flavorful real crab meat lumps! For main course, try the flat iron steak. Though it's not an expensive cut of meat, the meat flavor and texture are as good as sirloin. The Salmon is beautifully cooked and its skin seared to crispy perfection. The Duck Confit pasta is al dente and different from other pastas. The special steak hamburger ($148) was slightly overcooked but tasted good, topped with cheddar cheese and bacon, served with hot steak fries. Dessert changes each time I went; coffee/ tea was great to finish off a great meal.
All and all, it's a great restaurant! Staff is friendly and professional.. very well trained.
P.S. Bottled water is quite steep $80 per bottle, but it's VOSS!

拿個餐牌一看,午市的「行政人員午餐」,三道菜連飲品只收198,如吃扒的話還有三個選擇,吃10安士的Iron Flat Steak的不用加錢,吃7安士的免翁牛柳加一百,同樣是7安士的New York Strip則加百五。我當然對New York Strip有興趣,加百五也是合理價錢,但怎知沒有供應,而免翁牛柳也同樣欠奉,只有flat可吃,如不是就要叫a la carte。有點失望,就先試試Iron Flat Steak的水準如何吧。

先來的麵包籃,分別有核桃包及香草包,兩者皆熱烘烘,但口感是實實的,不太夠鬆軟,當中以香草包還好一點,塗上牛油,也可以的;

前菜4選1,吃扒的話,我的選擇很多時也是龍蝦湯,連我自己也不知何解,好像是反射動作一樣。這裡的龍蝦湯很對辦,不算是很濃郁,但味道很是鮮美,是霸道又鮮明的龍蝦味道,非常美味。加上一沬忌廉,喝起來比較滑身一點,而湯內有幾件蝦肉,爽口彈牙。談起龍蝦湯,我覺得最好的當然是Harlan's的,而香格里拉的龍蝦吧也很不錯,這裡的,也絕對高水準;

喝完湯,侍者先拿來牛扒刀,是法蘭西的出品,拿上手已知,是很認真又好「鋸」的牛扒刀。還送來兩瓶全新的芥末,一是第戎,另一是蜜糖芥末籽,單看這等陣式,便知這裡是幾認真鋸扒的地方。牛扒送來,烤得熱辣辣香噴噴,非常對辦。拿牛扒刀輕力一切,牛扒已應聲分開。可以看見是外邊全熟,內裡是全然嫩紅的,要了medium rare,火侯是絕對的準確,值得一讚。Iron Flat Steak不是上佳的部位,吃一口,肉質鬆化,不費力已可以咬開。肉味鮮濃,亦有充盈的肉汁,滿意滿意。之前也跟友人談過牛扒,大家也是不喜歡鋸和牛的,反而喜歡吃肉味濃又鬆化一點的美牛,這裡的,絕對滿意。伴碟的還有一堆薯條,還有牛油醬汁,但我什麼也沒有理,只專注吃我那10安士的Iron Flat Steak,滿足;

吃罷牛扒,甜品是焗朱古力餅併云呢拿雪糕。原本已幾飽,但一吃這個brownie也吃不停口。外皮焗得微脆口,內裡是保持濕潤,不是很濃郁的朱古力味道,但配起云呢拿雪糕及在旁的朱古力醬,也是三兩下手勢便全幹掉,也很不錯;

押尾的是香濃咖啡,為這個美好的午餐局劃上句號。

幾位侍應的服務也非常的好,有禮貌之餘,亦可以在食物上提建議,亦會問客人的意見,感覺很好,值得滿分。

埋單二百二,環境很不錯,服務亦很好,食物有水準,絕對是物超所值的一餐。

喜歡吃牛扒的,這裡是不能不試吧!

I really miss the Pantry Cafe in Down Town LA just next to Stipple Stadium. It so hard to find some good US steak in town. Someone told me there is a new restaurant for steak; therefore, we were three went there on Sat night. The Duck leg Confit the skin is very crispy but the meat very salty.

Prawn Papaya Salad with a touch of Asian and the Prawn was very big but taste average.

The Steak Tartare came with all the condiments but you had to mix by yourselves.

Sea bass smell very good but when I ate it tastes very bad... Something wrong in preparation or in the sources.

Salmon Fillet the skin was very crispy but once again very salty but the meat is good and the combination with the wasabi sauce is not match at all.

Rib Eye Steak is good. I order it rare and the steak outside is crispy and inside is perfectly rare but the Béarnaise sauce you have to pay extra $50 is ridiculous.

Tiger Prawn Angel Hair the Prawn was good but lack of garlic taste and very dry. They should put a bit sauce on the side .

Over all the food need a lot of improvement and to make it right and the price is really over price and without a trace of American hits.
