今日放工之後到尖沙咀做treatment~前幾天食的鹹豬手雖然好味,但始終皮不夠脆令我更想念Holiday Inn 的皮脆肉嫩豬手呀!今日反正在尖沙咀,就買一隻回家分享吧!!半小時內飛回家,剛好趕得及晚飯!豬手仍然是熱的!刀子一切下去,聽到「chok chok」清脆的聲音肉味香氣撲鼻,入口嫩滑,鹹香十足!更重要的是,它的皮,是很鬆化的~~~~~一試難忘~~一百大洋有找,真的真的很化算呀!!!!可惜執筆之時,Delicatessen Corner 已結業了....想重溫這美味的,要等到什麼時候呢...?? continue reading

I miss real German or Swiss food.  As mentioned before,  they are all transitional cuisines across whichever border strides the other side of the Alps Mountain or river.   For example part of South-Eastern France,  surprisingly cooks up food more resembling Italian style food with pastas,  olive oil or on the South-West border,  one finds Basque-Spanish style Tapas or Pintxo cuisines as well.  And don't forget that the Romans once ruled a large part of Europe and their influence can definitely be felt in many cities... to the point one often feels like it's more of the same everywhere across borders,   just written in a totally different language. Here I was attracted to eat here due to their 【Zürcher Geschnetzeltes】.  A Veal or Beef dish cooked with Mushrooms and Cream, served on the side with a fried Potato Roesti.   The recipe sounds like a crowd pleaser easily. .Zürcher GeschnetzeltesThe meat portion was huge actually,  I even found some Morel mushrooms hidden inside and a positive surprise!   But the Potato Rostie was quite too thin and more like Hash brown, albeit too soft and not dry-crispy enough.  I will happily eat it but it's not the most authentic Swiss dish especially the Rostie part of equation.  For $192 it's good by Portion,  rather than by Price.   But as a local Hong Konger,  one has to appreciate a shop for even doing this in town !!   At least it makes me miss the Zürcher Geschnetzeltes I had in Switzerland enough..  .Some German Beers are on Special,  2 glasses for only $50.  Bring it on...  continue reading

想必近日最受大眾觸目兼人氣熱爆的甜品一定要說Cronut。Cronut是由美國著名糕餅師傅Dominique Ansel所創,在美國紐約掀起一陣排隊搶試熱潮。風靡全球的Cronut,這名字已經被拿了專利,所以香港版研發推出的各有不同、特別的名字。今次我嚐試的是由金域假日酒店假日美食店推出的“Deli Cro-Do”。故名思意它是將法式牛角包Croissant 與美式冬甩Doughnut混合而成的甜品。初初沒有看過實物的時候以為會很小一件,但發現份量算是適中的。由於太三心兩意的關係,我和同事決定一次買4款口味來試。我們選了的味道是肉桂糖、朱古力乳酪脆脆、紅野莓脆脆和菠蘿脆脆,每款都是$22。它分成上下兩層中間配搭著吉士醬,咬下去有牛角包一層層酥脆又鬆軟的口感,也帶有有冬甩的味道,頗煙韌的感覺。油膩和甜度隨各種口味而略有不同,但是甜品本身的甜度是一定有的,就只是看上面搭的糖霜分別的甜度。肉桂糖Deli Cro-Do我個人最喜歡這口味,上面只撤了肉桂糖粉,是最接近原味的、不會太甜,可以清晰的品嚐到甜品本身,咬下去是滿口的吉士,很香很讚。菠蘿脆脆Deli Cro-Do搭配的是士多啤梨糖霜,一開始我實在沒有頭緒那裡有菠蘿,但就一直有很濃烈的菠蘿味,原來是指上面的脆脆顆粒。如果喜歡菠蘿口味的一定會愛上這款。這個看似不算太甜,實際上是4款中最甜,吃了4分之1已經起痰了。再來是朱古力乳酪脆脆Deli Cro-Do,滿滿的朱古力糖霜配上乳酪脆脆,甜而濃郁的朱古力被乳酪酸酸的味道中和了。這樣出奇地很搭,也變得沒那麼甜,也減低了非常油膩的感覺。最後是紅野莓脆脆Deli Cro-Do,這個是我們一致認為最好、最有驚喜。外層鋪上的是檸檬糖霜再配上紅野莓脆脆,檸檬味道偏淡,加上微酸野莓脆脆,2種酸甜味道混在一起的感覺十分清新。總括來說,無論是因為羊群效應還是想要挑戰新甜品,我覺得都是值得一試的。每一間都有自己研發的秘訣,也有各自的風格,身處香港的我們無法到NY去排隊試那正牌,嚐試自己本土改良出品也不錯啊! continue reading
