The winter melon soup 八寶迷你冬瓜盅 gave me a light refreshing sweetness in the middle of the course🍲. The Pan-Fried Fish Fillet 🐟with Wild Mushroom 🍄in Seafood Sauce (海鮮汁野菌香煎魚柳) was lovely fresh and tasty. I also love the sweetness from the lily buds in Lily and vegetable in soup (上湯百合菜苗)🌱. The Salt and Pepper Quail (椒鹽鵪鶉) was extremely crispy with succulent meat inside🐤. The mango dessert 🥭 (香芒層層疊) and Brown Sugar Lemon Grapefruit Ice Cream (黑糖檸檬柚子雪糕) 🍦gave a prefect finale to the delicious dinner.

— Might be one of the priciest barbecued pork rice I’ve ever had 😂 but definitely lived up to its hype. The Miyazaki Marumi pork had a very even distribution of fat and lean meat which made it the perfect cut for cha siu. Not to mention, the marinade on this was extremely tasty and roasted to an aromatic finish. The kyushu eggs have a rich reddish orange colour giving the dish a nice pop of colour. Only thing I would say is that the rice could’ve done with a bit more soy sauce as it lacked savouriness and was slightly dry.


Pic 2️⃣: 煎蛋串茄焗豬扒飯 / Oven-baked Miyazaku Marumi Dry-aged Pork Chop w / Dutch Vine Tomatoes - $190 hkd 🍅
— So delicious! Been struggling to find high quality baked pork chop rice lately and this really hit the mark. The dry-aged pork chop was so rich in flavour, soft in texture and managed to stay so tender despite the long cooking time. The tomato sauce was rich, and had the perfect balance of sweetness and sourness. Really recommend ordering this as this really blew me away!


Pic 3️⃣&4️⃣: 船上的火鴨湯河 跟 北京鴨春捲 / Boat Rice Flat Noodle in Roasted Duck Soup & Peking Duck Roll - $160 hkd 🦆
— A much lighter option which was also pretty impressive. The duck broth was flavourful and hearty, which went well with the rice noodles. The roasted duck slices were tender but lacked flavour. Spring rolls could be improved because the filling on its own is tasty but the spring rolls were super chewy with a very odd texture.

人生從來未試過$1200食一個羊腩煲,適逢今日係特別日子,任性一下吧<笑>首先飲一口湯,有當歸味而不過濃,我覺得仲要略帶清甜、相比那些淨係盲落柱侯醬、腐乳及南乳醬嗰啲洗腎湯底完全兩回事。不加鹽、糖,全是最天然的味道,我食完到而家已經有個半鐘頭還未見口渴,真係有料到未食以為用黑草羊,點知用嘅係寧夏池灘羊,但食完不會變寧羊,反而會10分滿意,三間肉清晰可見,每舊都係羊腩的蝴蝶腩,羊腩完全去骨,頭尾再切去肥膏部份,炆得10分柔嫩,Joe 哥真係冇介紹錯 ,甚至連配菜都係10分精細、冬筍只取最幼嫩部份、珍珠馬蹄粒粒爽、冬菇充滿冬菇香,另外有野生黃菇都10分讚。我覺得人生都要試一次比自己比較一下

The last time I was here, I was a bit put off by the overly talkative staff. But this time around, the amount of attentiveness is just right.

Came here for their lamb stew and boy it did not disappoint! Flower Drum only uses fresh lamb, you can indeed taste the difference between fresh and frozen lamb. They have different parts of lamb, some with more meat and some with more skin. It’s not over tender but just the right amount of chew. They also included a lot of mini Chinese water chestnut and mushroom to add sweetness and texture. The bean curd sheets were the best as they soak up all the amazing broth. The only issue is that it is quite pricey for such a small pot at the price of HK$1200 but it’s good enough to share between the four of us. If you love lamb stew, you have to give it a try this winter.

The other outstanding dishes include the fried crispy tofu and 炒魚錶. Their fried pigeon is ok too but a bit too small. I don’t really understand the size of their signature Cha siu. It’s too big to bite!

Overall, decent dishes with a hotel price. Their soup and desserts are indeed way over priced.
