To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 都是衝着$68就有1斤8両的清蒸沙巴龍躉而來的。除了沙巴龍躉,還點了兩隻乳鴿和金銀蛋泡時蔬。這沙巴龍躉真的超大條,可惜蒸得稍稍有點過了火,魚肉雖然稍微有點不夠嫩滑,但味道真的不錯。乳鴿就完全不行了,像燒好後放了一段時間,皮不脆,肉質也一般,味道還可以。金銀蛋泡時蔬,用的是菜心,比較硬,同行長者吃不到,味道則可以。 continue reading

Quality of food has been improved since last year so the aunts decided to revisit. We came pretty early at 8:15 am and almost all the tables were available. Also it’s quieter in the morning, we left around 9:30am and by then it’s already more packed and noisy. We ordered four morning combos (a total of 8 dim sums/ rice/ congee) to share. The aunts applauded for the peanuts and ribs congee; and the skins of the steamed rice rolls. A close-up of the congee, served steaming hot and loaded with meaty spareribs and soft peanuts. Also in the photo: steamed rice with Chinese preserved meat; preserved sausages and spareribs. Plus, scallion sakura shrimps pancake. Nice ones. Menus were also renewed and I could see the popular standing chicken with flames; and a creative sweet/savoury dish with egg pudding in egg shells and chicken-shaped deep fried meat puffs. continue reading

如題,今晚的新年套餐除了酸臭鮑魚之外,還有淋bet bet的蝦片,超鹹炸子雞,濕立立糯米飯,同埋油淋淋碗筷。服務員態度非常好,可能係知道有利是收,個個都開口大吉,笑口常開。這個新年套餐,全包收費 $5000,共12 位。上咗炒麵同炒飯先上蒸魚同雞。聽職員嘅解釋,原因係因為要同隔離枱嘅炒麵同炒一鍋,所以要一齊出。不過呢間嘢係冇咩好期望,主要是地點遷就到老人家。大家冇期望就冇失望。不過收呢個價錢食啲咁嘅嘢真係有少少肉痛。 continue reading
