Not great. We went there this evening as my girlfriend had walked by a few times before and saw that it was busy so assumed it must be good. So, we tried today as we were at a loss on where to go. The meat was of a worryingly low quality. Next came the naan and they were a bit better although the fruit naan was basically a naan with some tinned pineapple poured over. Then came the last two dishes. As soon as the jalfrezi came, I said it was no good and upon tasting, proved correct. The chicken too was of low quality but the issue was more that this wasn't anything like a jalfrezi. The daal was good and now we wished we ordered the saag paneer instead of the meat. I won't go back as the decor is very tired and just looks unloved; this was echoed in the food.

味道真的是很好吃!真的很開心!羊肉份量比我想像的要多,羊肉質地淋身,羊肉味重而不蘇,欣賞!咖喱的顏色說明了辣度,辣度吃得過癮,喜歡吃辣的人一定喜歡挑戰,咖喱味香而帶有羊肉肉汁,香而不膩,是邪惡嘅代表!

午餐去試,從lunch set menu入面繼續點Chicken masala 同 Butter Chicken。小食,Samosa令人驚喜,又平又好食。醬都很不錯,可以理解食材有冰鮮味的問題,但雞肉滑嫩。醬是餐廳中偏辣,鹹的,可能是想蓋過雞肉的冰鮮味?來得太遲沒naan比較傷心。Masala chaa是一款印度香料熱奶茶,唔甜可以自行落糖,非常「提神醒腦」,八角茴香等味道充盈整個呼吸道,考驗個人口味的一款飲料,慎重考慮。一開頭飲,覺得奇怪,但越飲越上癮的感覺。家庭氛圍濃厚,小朋友返學係度做功課,食物不過不失,但是價錢係一眾餐廳中算平價。適合budget不多,但又想過下癮的朋友來試。

九龍城哩間印度咖喱王係我最中意食嘅印度菜之一,皆因佢個set lunch真系抵食到人神共憤,50蚊左右就可以解決三道菜午餐: 前菜、正餐同飲品,內容認真非常豐富。首先個samosa真系好好味道,個皮好酥脆,雖然哩餐嘅碳水化合物已經超標N倍我都KO咗佢。主菜有分量充足嘅咖喱,再配薄餅或者印度飯。飲品唔洗問絕對系要飲masala tea,雖然香料味稍淡,但聊當回味下N年前去新德里出差時嘅風味。最後,餐具上臺時係熱暖咗,裝masala tea個鐵壺保溫功能極佳,臨走都仲係熱到我拎唔起,真系好神奇🧐!

Indian Curry King is my go to whenever I crave Indian cuisines🥰 Its decor is simplistic and modern yet somewhat exotic. 今次再食九龍城老字號既印度菜,一開始提供一小兜薄脆,沾粉綠色既印度醬汁,酸酸地,好似酸奶感覺。咖哩角內既薯蓉濕度適中,軟棉棉,餅皮略厚,對細食既女仕們,可能食完一隻都飽飽地。呢個芝士大力菜(菠菜),係我必叫既餸,聽個名好邪悪,但食落去唔係好濟,個人認為咖哩角比佢更頂胃,同埋呢款大力菜蓉入口感覺同味道比咖哩清淡D。雜菜(左)、羊肉(中)、雞肉咖哩(右)講真,薄餅普通,唔放得耐,什至覺得似叫貨。而三種咖哩都好味,各具特色,份糧亦足夠。

The overall experience was good. However, I was not quite happy with the seating arrangements. When we went in, there were just one or two tables at the far end of the restaurant. The door area was empty. We wanted to sit by the window, and the waiter rejected, as it was a table for four (two tables for two side by side). Then two groups of customers came in (both were table for two). The other waiter arranged them to sit by the window, separating the two tables so it was like two tables for two. I mean why not letting us sit there that way when we requested? And by the time he seated the two tables behind us, our area became so crowded, where the rest of the restaurant was still empty at that time. I heard that this place was always packed, maybe because it was Tuesday, the restaurant was still half empty when we left. Probably because we ate early that evening. We finished before 20:00hrs. Sorry, I was still not happy why not letting us sit by the window...

Okay... good thing was, the food was nice. Quite authentic Indian food indeed. We started with those traditional masala papad (sorry I loved them so much, ate them, and forgot to take photos.. lol), served with 3 different kind of sauces (sauces in the picture. lol). The green one was yogurt taste and the red one was a bit sweet and spicy. Both were refreshing and appetizing. We ordered lamb kebab, fish masala, and original naan bread. I usually went for garlic naan, but my friend highly recommend the original one, and it was good! I thought original ones would be tasteless, but it was not. The outer layer was even a bit crispy. Lamb kebab was tasty, but a bit too dry. I think it's a bit overcooked. Fish masala on the other hand, was so good! It's delicious, and not too spicy for us. Fish was tender and smooth. Its portion looked small, but it's good for two people. Oh... the iced milk tea, umm... a bit too sweet.

That's what they served after we checked. Crystal sugar and Indian spices, to clean our palate. I dared not to have the spices just like that, I remember how I got sick the last time I did that when I was still in university. Lol... so, no thanks. I never just had crystal sugar on its own, usually my mom used them for making Chinese sweet soups. I put one in my mouth. Umm... too sweet. Haha... I like Indian food, but I guess I'm not that Indian after all.

自上月食過一次印度菜自此每到星期六日就想食印度野。今日來到一家我十幾年前已來過既餐廳。當年平日晚上都成日爆滿既情況估唔到現在連星期六下午2時都仍然滿座。今天來到點了2人餐 套餐包了前菜薄脆併3色汁: 綠色的酸酸的乳酪汁, 紅色的是先甜後辣的醬汁十分開胃 不過都幾辣下 而一個淡紅既洋蔥汁我就覺得無咩味。咖哩角: 皮酥而入面既咖哩薯仔好香好甜好味道。串燒鷄 : 肉汁鮮嫰加埋洋蔥一起食又香又多汁。咖哩魚: 魚塊份量十分之多 咖哩不辣而是帶有溫和既香料味配飯非常好食。炒菜: 很多姜絲向面是很中式的炒通菜。白飯:很喜歡印度香米 有著淡淡既堅果香 而且 澱粉質夠小 所以食完成碟都沒有飽到頂曬胃既感覺。薄餅及芒果乳酪就普普通通唔伏。如果經開九龍城又想食印度菜黎間係唔錯既選擇。

自此每到星期六日就想食印度野。

咖哩角: 皮酥而入面既咖哩薯仔好香好甜好味道。

串燒鷄 : 肉汁鮮嫰加埋洋蔥一起食又香又多汁。

咖哩魚: 魚塊份量十分之多 咖哩不辣而是帶有溫和既香料味配飯非常好食。

炒菜: 很多姜絲向面是很中式的炒通菜。

白飯:很喜歡印度香米 有著淡淡既堅果香 而且 澱粉質夠小 所以食完成碟都沒有飽到頂曬胃既感覺。

薄餅及芒果乳酪就普普通通唔伏。
如果經開九龍城又想食印度菜黎間係唔錯既選擇。
