Drinks
We ordered Mango lassi (milk+yogurt) and Coconut, it is good choice in order to balance the strong favour of curry n spices.
Yet, I prefer less sweetener added to the lassi, be natural will be better;)
Papadum
After we had ordered, we received Complimentary starter- Marsala Papadum at once.
I should say this is my favorite dish of the night!
The crispy and peppery indian cracker is coved with flavorful ingredients: chopped tomato, carrot, onion, cabbage, cilantro, and vinegar. The whole combination is prefect!
Naan
We also ordered cheesy naan, it was soft, hot and bubbly. But the chesse is rather powder-like than melty-like. And it’s sweet rather than salty.
So I don’t think it’s good to dip with curry sauce. I will order regular naan next time! 

Curry
For Curry Dishes, a wide range of Chicken, beef, mutton, ox tail, ox tongue, fish, shrimp and crab are available on menu.
We picked Curry Ox Tongue & Chilli Chicken, the waitress friendly reminded us the Chicken is very very hot!

But my sister n I both love spicy dishes~~We are born to be HOT

The curry were really delicious
- they use red curry (hotter) with chicken n yellow-brown curry for ox-tongue.
I appreciate that as most HK style Indian restaurant only provide same/ few type of curry in cooking all kind of meat/ seafood..
But this restaurant clearly pick different sauce n spice to best-match the dishes. Thumb up!

Paratha
The paratha came out extremely hot with a crispy crust. But too much Butter n it looks oily instead of dry.
 
Rice
And at the end, we tired the Indian fried rice and it tastes GOOD!
We were too full and thus we took away some leftover!
Overall, it’s a wonderful breezy and spicy night! We left with a 

 
Other Info. : It would be good if the toilet is cleaner n with odor control. As the whole dining exp come in a package;)

Here are the things that I ordered:

Samosas are my all time favourite, that's why I order it every time.  These bad boys are extrememly delicious.  The stuffing inside was full of curry flavor, but wasn't too spicy!!!!  So, they are good for everyone!!!! Plus, they are not oily at all and the size was quite big!!!!

Masala Papadam is a surprsing dish that the waitress suggested me to order!!!!  I wasn't sure if it would taste good.  But, it turned out to be my favorite of the night!  The crispy and peppery indian cracker is coved with small diced tomato, carrot, onion, cabbage, cilantro, and vinegar.  It was super yummy, especially the vegetable and vinegar were a great tangy and sweet combination.  I really wanted to have another one but I had to save room for the other dishes.  You have to try it when you go there!

Basmati is a perfect side dish for curry!!!  We just had a basic one.  It was full of typical indian aroma and flavor.  The rice was perfectly cooked.  Inside the rice, there were sweet rasins and fresh coconut.  They gave out a little bit of the sweetness at the back when you are eating it with the curry!!!!

Saag Paneer is another must order dish!!!!  The creamy spinach gravy with big chuncks of cheese, and a little bit of the fresh ginger.  Even though it doesn't look spicy, it does has some heat in it.

Ox Tongue Masala was good!  The texture of the ox tongue was very tender! The masala sauce was creamy and sweet!  There were many pieces of tongue slices in it and they were all thick cut slices.  So, I could totally enjoy the texture of the tongue.  Because of the sauce has pretty mild heat, it didn't over power the taste of the ox tongue.  Everything of this dish was just perfectly match with each other.

Nan was freshly made and the size is big.  It is enough for two people to share!  Even thoguh it is just a plain one but it is just perfect for eating with curry.  Crispy and a little bit smoky on the outside and soft on the inside.

Lamb Kadai is another dish that the waitress suggested.  It was a drid curry dish and it was my first time to try dired curry dish.  It came out to be suprisingly good.  The curry was spicy and it was full of smoky spices flavor.  The lamb meat was fresh, full of lamb flavor and super tender.  Wrapping the lamb with the Nan, the taste was amazing!!!

Punjabi Pakodas was actually a free appetizer.  They are vegetable fritters.  The outside were very crispy and the inside were full of vegetable and potato.  They came with two indian dipping sauces (i forgot to take a picture).  One was a green spicy herb sauce and another one was a turmeric sauce.  However, they were kinda oily for me.  I would personally prefer the Samosa over it!!!

所以我點了一個最簡單的炒飯﹐印度米是細長一粒粒﹐乾身﹐沒飯味的。用要咖喱來炒﹐顏色亦是很鮮艷。飯內有堤子乾和椰絲。我自己就很喜歡﹐不過同桌的朋友不吃堤子乾。加一點點aloo matar來吃﹐真的有回到過去的感覺。

印度有沒有沙律這個我真的不知道﹐只是心血來潮叫了這個魚柳沙律。是整晚最敗北的一款。沙律醬和雜果炒埋一碟﹐加少許魚柳﹐就是這樣子。也許最印度的地方是加了洋蔥﹖印象中這沙律不便宜… 早知不要這個換成Roti之類的餅更好 >_< 而且上菜把沙律排第三上﹐感覺就是﹐其實是沒特定排序﹐只是廚師弄好什麼就拿出來。哈哈﹐這一點和港式後點相似 XP

雜錦燒肉拼盤。這一碟是叫給友人這隻食肉獸的。肉類有﹕雞﹐牛﹐魚﹐羊。悄悄告訴你﹐其實我是不太吃肉的。不過也試了馳名的chicken tikka﹐味道一流﹗印度菜比較乾﹐所以不要expect很juicy﹐我就是喜歡那種乾乾的雞肉串燒~ (<– 因為感覺沒那麼胖)

最後來的是薯仔餅。也是我最~~~ 喜歡的一道。餅中間夾了薯仔餡料﹐我覺得即是不沾任何醬料都已經好好吃~ ^O^ 極推介﹗而且好飽肚~ 一盤共四塊﹐我吃了兩塊 XD (<– 因為我沒吃肉嘛﹗)
我相信這裡的食物是有少少fine tone過適合港人口味﹐因為比起我之前吃過的﹐少了一點刺激。不過因為我的另外兩位朋友之前是沒吃過印度菜﹐所以我們在點菜是的選擇是比較保守沒錯啦。餐廳服務合格﹐加水頻密﹐收碟也很勤快。餐廳比起大街的多了一分清靜﹐和朋友靜靜地聊天也可以。印象中這一餐每人大概$125 (連加一)﹐間唔中一次感覺新鮮 ^_^ 經過深井不吃燒鵝﹐可以試試深井咖喱寶啊﹗

食物素質:侍應遞上一個小籃子,說是送的小食,放下就走,並沒有介紹。胡椒餅是認識的,可旁邊橙黃色的圓塊就不知道為何物?我只好開口問了。原來是炸什菜餅,除了吃到那一小撮不知是玉米還是洋蔥什麼的東西外,其餘全是粉糰,又黏又濕,難吃
,還好是送的。雪糕筒狀的胡椒餅倒是常見的,味道中規中矩,薄薄的脆脆的,微辣。

上印巴館子我最愛的並不是咖喱菜式,而是印度烤餅(因為是用麵粉搓成的,和麵包有著異曲同工之處)。這家餐廳有好幾款烤餅,我點了芝士烤餅($28),這類叫做‘nan’的烤餅有別中式的蔥油餅,它很蓬鬆,很柔軟,麵粉香尤其突出

這兒的芝士烤餅具備了以上所說的特點,可芝士餡竟然是甜的
!顏色和味道都像極了用吉士粉調的醬,雖然我並不抗拒吉士醬,拿來做奶黃包什麼甜點是沒問題的,但是名叫「芝士烤餅」,應該用芝士夾餡才對呀,我所了解芝士都是鹹味的,難道說印度有種甜芝士嗎

既然店名叫「咖喱寶」,自是煮咖喱有一手了!叫原汁咖喱牛腩($68)應當試到厲害於否。巴掌大的鋼碗裡滿滿的咖喱汁,要用附設的調羹勺好幾下方才找到牛腩,一共有五塊(且件頭不大)!燜得夠腍,卻沒有爛掉,保持嚼頭,偶爾有筋絡相連,更有口感。

至於鎮店之寶——咖喱,較為稀薄,辣度很小,吃不出有多複雜的香料在裡頭,也感覺不到椰漿的存在,老公一句話說到我的心坎裡:“老婆,你煮的咖喱汁比這強的多!”
盡管有拍馬屁之嫌,可很中聽喲


此店雞的烹飪手法有好多種,這款印式黃豆蓉燴雞($78)像是很有特色,便要了。又是見醬不見雞
!黃豆蓉一半磨成粉狀,一半則是顆粒,這樣有著吃薯泥般的滑潺感,又能咬咬豆子,雙重感受。豆蓉醬比之前的咖喱醬滑溜香濃,黃豆的甜糯要記一功。

稍完整的雞塊我數過只得四件,另外是些零碎的雞肉粒。因為沾滿了豆蓉醬根本吃不出雞肉本身的味道,只知道雞肉不韌但又稱不上嫩而已。

經已叫了兩種肉類,不打算再要肉了,可老公說我是喜羊羊(喜好吃羊肉),怎麼也得點一個,於是就選了鑊仔羊肉($88)

基於前面的肉類都是喝醬為主,所以特意問清楚了這鑊仔羊肉是少汁的。這回醬汁是看不到了,卻換來大量的配菜:洋蔥、番茄、青椒,羊肉還是少得可憐
!一節手指頭大小的羊肉完全沒有了騷味,只能從質地上區分出和雞、牛的不同,酥軟程度無可挑剔(其實一早燉好擱在鍋中保溫,這足以令到肉體變得軟不拉嘰的
)。極少的肉滿足不了我們,只好向配菜下手,好在是採取乾煸的做法,這些蔬菜水份蒸發,又吸足了肉味,再混合酸甜的茄汁,扒著白飯三兩下就清除了!

白飯($15)起初覺得十五元一碗飯挺貴的,拿來才吃到是一大碟,可分出兩人份量呢,煮得還行,再少點水就好,反正要混醬汁的。

「咖喱寶」開在深井算是孤軍作戰,有勇還得有謀,收費和商場內的店鋪看齊
,給的卻是西班牙小吃份量
,除非店鋪是自置的,免了交租的煩惱,要不然過不了多久便會全軍覆沒掉了!

I was very please with the clay oven in sheng wan branch.....so yesterday, after visiting my daddy, i take the trip to its branch in NT. I wasexpecting the same quality with the same food. However , when i ordered the Lamb Masa , the curry is much worse than the one in sheng wan. The curry is not hot , just sweet only. The meat inside is not tasty. O...my god , it is so bad when compared with the one in sheng wan. I wont go there again and it is a waste of money. Same price but so bad quality

正宗印度咖哩角, 係做度好似一個荷包形狀的, 而裡面只係好普通的薯仔同什豆, 而香濃的咖哩完全釀入去, 但佢的外層係香脆但唔油的。 之後佢印度原汁咖哩牛腩。咖哩的辛辣度可以揀, 由普通的小辣去到極級的巴辣程度。一般香港人應該是小辣已經好夠, 除非你真係好鍾意食辣野, 先好叫巴辣。
而咖哩中, 原汁咖哩牛腩係最好同最入味的。

然後就係要預定先有的鐵板印度羊脾, 據老闆娘所說, 呢種羊脾係由印度空運番黎, 出面好難有得賣, 而且事實上佢個種羊脾真係同一般係街市見到的好唔同的。 呢款羊脾係一般羊脾的兩倍大, 而且肉汁非常鮮甜。鐵板羊脾係用一d印度香草加上一d肉汁的, 入口非常多汁, 而且無羊的羶味。

印度菜是以肉類為主的, 所以對一些素食的朋友來說, 印度菜未必太適合的。 咖哩和羊都是印度的主打菜, 另外一款主打菜是印度薄餅。 呢度的款式唔係太多, 都係只有蔥油, 原味 同 芝士。 蔥油比較似一般的蔥油餅, 而原味就是沒什麼味道。但芝士卻是非常香口的, 咬下去便是香滑的芝士, 而且係帶甜的, 比較新鮮。

蔬菜裡是有的, 印式雜菜同普通蒜蓉炒菜都有, 不過都是比較一般。 但我要說的是這次晚飯以外的菜, 另外一個印度豆苗磨菇, 這個是用蕃茄醬焗的豆苗磨菇, 都係幾好吃的。

印度是比較少甜品的, 但比較有特式的有印度拉奶茶, 佢用十幾款印度香料沖的奶茶, 香料十分香濃, 但唔係每人接受到佢的味道, 而另外一個特式飲品是椰青, 幾乎是我每次來這裡必點的東西。

總體來說, 如果當大家吃厭了燒鵝的話, 這家店的確是一個好好的選擇。

There's much more to Sham Tseng than roast goose. In fact, Sham Tseng's secret is its Indian restaurant which I found quite by chance.
After an exhilarating hike on the picturesque hills above Tsuen Wan, my friends and I made our way down to Sham Tseng to feast on roast goose. But we came across the Indian Hot Pot Curry Restaurant and decided to give it a go. It was a wise choice.
There is outdoor seating in addition to an air-conditioned dining room. We parked ourselves outside for ice-cold beer and watched the evening turning to night.
Then it was down to business. The samosas vanished as soon as they arrived, as did the fish pakora. Both dishes were fabulous.
We had to have the lamb chops whcih were grilled after being marinated. The meat was tender and went down well with the mango lassi.
We were quite full by then but could not resist a couple of curries. The rogan gosh and chicken kadai we ordered along with some nans were just great.
The service was good and the staff friendly and helpful, so another visit is on the cards as there are many tempting items on the menu.
Indian Hot Pot Curry Restaurant is not on the single road that passes through Sham Tseng, so you'll have to go behind the main row of shops and restaurants, walking not more than a minute or two, to reach it.

last time me and my friends went 2 indian hot pot curry restaurant to try something different...when the food arrived...it smelled sooo good...but when we tasted the food...it was the best indian food we have ever tried...the food was soo tasty...especially the Tandoori Lamb Leg.i really appricate those chefs.the place was also soo realaxing and comfortable...i will surely tell all my friends about this restaurant.from now on...i will come to this reasturant more often..the dish we have tried:

我住係附近,有時係中午去呢度食lunch,呢度d set lunch價錢尚算合理,三十幾蚊,有咖哩有餅有湯有飲。叫一個set,除送薄脆之外,佢仲會送一兩件素咖哩角,配埋酸酸地果隻汁,相當開胃,咖哩同個餅還可,份量也頗多,但個湯就差d,味精湯而已。作為一個午餐,都算唔錯。ps. 個老闆同老闆娘都識廣東話的,佢地都好nice

我係住係深井既..所以深井d食肆我都試過...有晚去左lee 間印度餐廳食dinner..一家三口..入到去已經有好香既咖哩味啦!坐低左他們就力左一碟沙律紅腰豆&一籃炸雞w/2碗醬(一碗係香草醬,一碗係好似梅子醬既東西)lee d野都係free ka,籃炸雞好好味ka..唔係就咁一舊舊炸既,有加其他野落去ka..正!我地叫左一個咖哩蝦(60蚊),炒飯,炒椰菜,雞肉咖哩角,2種薄餅...我覺得最普通個隻印度薄餅最好食!碟菜都算大碟!d蝦係fresh蝦唔係雪蝦,整體都幾好味..if你係like 重慶個隻咖哩的話一定要去試試啦!p.s 侍應個樣唔似中國人,唔洗驚佢地有人識聽廣東話ka!!
