自己無耐會幫襯呢間茶餐廳的蛋撻麵飽, 純粹係因為”近”而唔係特別欣賞佢嘅新鮮出爐那件事,不過最近買咗一次蛋撻發現有進步喎! 過去兩年給我的感覺係即使剛拿出來, 個撻面好靚焗到個吉士蛋漿圓邊有一條好幼嘅淺啡色線都好, 一咬開見個撻底中間層都係半透明的, 即係爐的底火未過撻底芯啦, 要知道佢嘅撻價位唔低利錢應該唔差, 點解唔整好d個爐呀, 後來在西九龍中心開咗泰昌,咁好自然幫襯佢少咗啦, 因為在這點上泰昌完全過芯同時面亦是恰到好處, 不過10月尾呢次貪方便再幫襯佢啦, 卒之今次個撻變番正常了, 撻底簿咗重完全焗通透咗, 另一個墨西哥奶皇飽一如既往論尺寸係全區之冠, 但實情係麵包依士量稍稍超標作怪, 只不過是迎合貪大嘅顧客心理, 吉士比以前少了, 或者這只是一般顧客心理也說不定, 飽質地係傳統港式麵飽嘅酥鬆口感, 所以墨西哥奶皇飽係這店比較貴的那類飽, 應該係利錢較高的一類飽, 希望下次再幫襯時未加價啦!

由於將吃晚飯,不想吃份量太厲害的餐,翻揭餐牌發現「抵食之選」~黑松露火腿炒蛋多士(包熱飲),價值35元,價錢雖較多士餐/下午茶餐貴,但有黑松露……不妨一叫滿足虛榮吧。等沒多久,食物(不燙口,微暖)來了~多士烘得香脆;松露份量如能多一點才符合「抵食」二字;蛋一般,欠幼滑,但味道不錯;伴碟的番茄、青瓜似剛從雪櫃走出來……算了以這個價錢確不應有太多要求,然而是否抵食則見仁見智了。

My volunteer friends invited me for lunch.This is a local Hong Kong style restautant which serve breakfast,lunch set,afternoon tea set ,dinner set and breads,cakes,egg tart....etc.I ordered a fresh chicken and Lou Hon Zhai rice noodles in fish soup.They were served in two bowls.A few of the rice noodles were hard but most of them were good.The chicken were chopped in tiny pieces and hard to find in the soup.The favour of the fish soup was excellent with black fugus,black mushrooms and vegetables

Alot of people mentioned that this cafe serve the best polo bun in Sham Shui Po. Hearing that, i decided to pay them a visit since i happened to pass by this area. I ordered a piece of butter polo bun for take away. The size of bun was surprisingly huge, but the slice of butter was not big enough for it to melt in the bun thoroughly. Bun was not served hot as well, so the butter did not melt in the bun. Crust of the bun was considered crispy. Overall, it was not a bad try.

Boyfriend and our friend were in the Sham Shui Po area taking photos and we stopped here for a quick air conditioning break.

Located near Dragon Center, is this very local cha chan teng. It has no English name. Everything is in Chinese. EVERYTHING. But they serve your very typical cha chan teng meals.

As it was afternoon tea time, I ordered from the afternoon tea menu. All afternoon tea sets included hot drink or ice red bean drink. Other ice drinks, you need to add money. But for some reason, there was no extra charge for the ice red bean drink. That was rare.

The ice red bean drink wasn't cold enough. There was a lot of red bean. I think half my glass was red bean. But the beans were still a bit hard and not too  good.

I ordered the chicken wings with a side of Hong Kong style salad and fries. The fries were soggy. I love Hong Kong style salad but this was pretty bad. The mayo was watery. The fruit wasn't very fresh. The chicken wings were really hot. Obviously fresh from the fryer. But they were really dry and oily.

好久沒有幫襯九龍了, 雖然很就自己腳但往往最近的餐廳不怎會去, 而在這四月中居然買了兩次, 第一次是蛋撻, 第二次是雞尾飽, 蛋撻外型可以的, 酥皮邊亦是合乎標準, 吉士蛋汁不會太少, 甜味亦沒有過量, 但切開睇則知道個撻底有好多層未彈起, 明白嘅, 上面有蛋汁下面受熱但未必可以完全過晒每一層Layer, 不過這様完整的一層透明層又似乎…差少少!流沙雞尾亦是這店的名物, 曾經有一個時期自己經過這店都會買一個這店的流沙雞尾飽, 當時的雞尾餡是可以用一大舊去形容的, 那時還只是四蚊一個, 相當驚人嘅熱量, 但現在已經搣甩咗呢個惡習, 現在的雞尾飽口感依舊一樣只是沒有那麼一舊的餡轉而是比較流質嘅餡, 相對上似乎健康了一點!

流沙雞尾亦是這店的名物, 曾經有一個時期自己經過這店都會買一個這店的流沙雞尾飽, 當時的雞尾餡是可以用一大舊去形容的, 那時還只是四蚊一個, 相當驚人嘅熱量, 但現在已經搣甩咗呢個惡習, 現在的雞尾飽口感依舊一樣只是沒有那麼一舊的餡轉而是比較流質嘅餡, 相對上似乎健康了一點!

One of the Hong Kong style Cha Can Tang (HK/Guangdong style low cost cafes) gourmet is Bo Luo Yau, which means pineapple buns with iced butter!
Bo Luo= 菠蘿 = pineapple, Yau = oil = 油

It's never really related to pineapples, but it looks like one. Analogies you know.

So this morning I managed to wake up for a breakie (to my surprise). I went to this cafe for a Buo Luo Yau necause of their exceptionally good buns. I was right: the bun is really fresh, warm, big, soft, while the topping is damn crispy!

Together with the ice-chilled butter slice sandwiched in between, the combination of the warm soft bun and the hard cold butter, although it's such a simple meal totally to the other end when comparing to pricey sophisticated looking French gastronomy, it somehow has effortlessly shown me the way to heaven.

The bun with butter alone is 10HKD, tgt with iced milk tea is 27HKD

Apologize for that I ate a bit of it before taking photos, and it somehow could not accurately show the good quality of the bun!
