I tried Lian the second time tonight. The food was as good as my first trial. I took all the recommended dishes from the waiter. Lian is one of the best restaurant in Central and CWB area; especially their Services. The waiters are very friendly; they will provide you a magazine while you're waiting on your friends to come. The beef dishes are all good.
The soft shell crab is not so good.
The all you can drink wine cost 280 is very nice; but I never tried it before since my friends are not quite a drinker. I will definitely try next time going with my drinking buddy.

我食過幾次, 呢度的野唔平,不過就幾好食啦.我見好多人叫咖哩同河粉, 呢的冇試過,反而試左佢既綠茶鴨同吊燒雞, 豚肉和一個牛既主菜都幾好食喎,軟殼蟹rice paper roll好味, cane蝦都ok, 燒豬勁肉都幾好個炸香蕉+榔子雪糕同芒果糯米飯好食.炒飯就正常啦.

唔知點解,好似任何嘢喺IFC都會升價十倍,連一啲好普通嘅嘢都會突然之間變得好貴。有日約朋友食飯,佢話不如近近哋嚟依間,我一坐低已經知道出事。首先我坐嗰張枱係一個蓮花水池,我就心知依餐飯起碼有一半錢係食裝修。打開餐牌,基本上所有嘢食都要三位數字先落到樓,我最後勉強叫咗個全店最平嘅午餐,係生牛肉河搭春卷。講真,味道雖然唔差,但亦毫無特別。喺中環其他越南鋪食要五十蚊,依度就要盛惠百五。坐喺店內進饍,望住其他食客有洋人巨賈、美女OL,總係有種朱門酒肉臭嘅感慨。

一行十一人食lunch, 因為是celebrate同事生日,而有幾位不是在ifc做的,所以之前叫佢fax個a la carte menu 黎,叫訂d野食.因為有同事話其實set lunch 唔抵食, 所以叫a la carte 的.本人是雞翼痴, 見到黎到個樣好炸, 有少少卻步,但食落去,個炸皮其實好thin,好正.十一個人1750 (因為book 九位以上,要之前一日俾$500deposit).

軟殼蟹牛油果米卷──呢個唔錯,可能因為我本身好欣賞個牛油果,不過食到其中一件個米紙左@@"

- chicken pho (also pretty good:steaming hot soup, lovely thin noodles, side of raw beansprouts, onion slices and lime).
- dessert: banana pudding with honeycomb icecream. Brilliant ice cream. The pudding was hot but a little too soggy / dense. Acceptable as a nice sugar shot for dessert fiends.

On a previous visit tried the soft shell crab ricepaper roll. Found the crab fresh and meaty, wrapped with avocado, and immediately served, crab was still warm and crunchy. Very good.

Service: Helpful staff, fast reaction. Attention to detail including tools and utensisl (Alessi water bottle, cuisinart food processors on counter) should be appreciated.

I would say the prices are slightly high for Southeast Asian cuisine, but given the beautiful decor, wide seating and table service, think it's worthwhile. Makes a nice place to catch up with friends.

We ordered a lot of foods like "ox face" curry with bread, fried chicken, goose liver salad, banana pudding with ice-cream, caramel pudding with ice-cream and a coconut drinks. Although taste just so so and a bit noisy, it's still a perfect dinner, a chance for us to share our happyness. We got 50% disc with AE p.card.

I've a pork neck fried noodle which doesn't taste much different from the one I've ordered from Tsui Wah but of course at a much greater cost.If the food weren't good, I expect the decor and service to be better. I've been waiting for 30 mins for the set lunch aslo take more than 10 mins for my Lime soda . Finally I was late to office .The so call " PHO " really disappointing me and my friend. The beef is too fatty and not fresh enough. Portion is smaller than I expected!!!

Lian is one of the restaurants that we always go to while we are in IFC. I like the deco there especially the hanging orchids and the lotus pool in the middle. The ambiance is simply a great escape from the hectic city life.This restaurant offers both Vietnamese and Thai dishes and we have tried quite a number of them. This restaurant offers both Vietnamese and Thai dishes and we have tried quite a number of them. To be frank, the food is not particularly outstanding and it seems that the Vietnamese dishes are better. However, its beef pho (生牛肉湯河) is superb and I simply fall for it. To stay true to the tradition, it is accompanied with 油炸鬼, basil leaves, mint and lime. The soup is really tasty and I don’t think a lot of 味精is added since I don’t feel very thirsty each time after finishing the whole bowl. Besides, the beef (they use US prime) is also nice and tender. Think I will go back again and again simply for this bowl of beef pho.
