今個weekend,丟底了老公,和朋友去了學整餅,和她吃個relaxing lunch,就到這裡啦~之前試過一次都不錯。假日到SOHO食飯,有個好處是不用等位。 有Buffet 可供選擇。 朋友有點飽,只點了杯士多啤梨smoothie ($69),我試了點,很鮮的士多啤梨味,粒粒籽口感很好,再加了少許乳酪,味道很fresh! 我就點了蜆肉闊麵($159),咸味太重了,可以輕手點,就連我這個重口味BB都有點頂不住,不過意粉的整體味道是不錯的,麵條又有口感。

The breakfast is good value and sufficient to curb your hunger, although portions or not too generous. The bread and butter was exceptional in taste and crunch. The espresso had a sharp, strong kick. The sugar cubes made a nice dimple on the foam of the cappucino. The experience here was rather mystical with a downpour of rain and people running for cover and finding refuge. Seems to be a good deal to get "unlimited" drinks with breakfast, only to find out later that it actually means you can get a second cup for free.
service was too busy to notice us and we had to wave for more coffee and to place our order, they seemed busy and without a thought to be friendly or hospitable, more like robotic service

linguini Fini 的天花板,掛滿了意粉,這裝飾很特別。其實美國食物不外乎於漢堡包、熱狗、炸雞翼、薯仔沙律等等.....都是用來配啤酒吃的食物。

要真心讚一讚這隊live band,由菲律賓主唱帶領,用美國國歌做開場及結尾,期間唱了多首輕快的pop songs,他的音色非常好,電子音樂有氣氛得來不刺耳。很可惜,音樂被迫要斬,因為遭隔籬鄰舍投訴,兩位警察哥哥便前來叫停表演,有點兒掃興啊!

牛扒上桌時已預先斜切好,外表帶點炭燒過的焦黑而內裡保持迷人的粉紅色,令人眼前一亮;牛扒肉汁豐盈,肉味濃且帶炭燒香,是近來吃到較好的牛扒,而旁邊呈忌廉狀的沾醬加入了洋蔥絲,十分惹味和comforting,但邪惡的東西還是適可而止;唯一想挑剔的是臨上桌時淋的一把橄欖油實在顯得畫蛇添足,多餘過膩了。

佢地話自己pasta 好出名,所以我哋都叫咗兩款特別啲嘅黎試。

其中一款係鹹蛋黃味嘅 HK 119,呢一個pasta嘅鹹蛋黃味就一啲都唔突出,反而係有點辣辣的。

另外呢個香草炒pasta HK 158就清新大路,穩陣之作。

呢度嘅食物唔錯,有啲偏鹹。好彩佢哋都有一瓶水可以解渴。氣氛唔錯,地方夠大,輕鬆自在。

We were filmed trying three different restaurants on the good food tour organized by online dining platform and foodie.Linguini Fini was the last stop.The restaurant was big and spaced out.The pizza we had was big packed with pepperoni slices and generous cheese.

如果要選我最愛吃的食物的話,麫包及pasta必定在top 5,所以這次約朋友來到Linguni Fini這餐廳除了pasta外,肉丸也是主打,所以點了個meatball with garlic bread試試肉丸是豬肉及牛肉混合,平日不吃肉丸的我,覺得這個肉丸肉質算不錯,不會太實又不會肉散,不像平日的低質素雜肉整成.不過只有3舊及兩塊小小蒜蓉包,價錢相對非常不值慢烤豬,稱是10小時慢烤而成,肉質其實有點un,味道没有特別,醬汁味道則較突出,旁邊的沙律菜新鮮,但肉的份量很少要了個side dish sautéed vegetables,這是全晚最好吃的菜式,炒雜菜,不會太油或太咸這是我最期待的,uni carbonara pasta,海膽不新鮮,carbonara亦非carbonara味道,有點太咸,不過pasta本身是好吃的因為不夠飽,而且想再給餐廳機會,來點好吃點的東西,便試了Duck egg pesto spaghetti,但這個不只是失望,還要是難吃,因為鴨蛋的原固,汁做得非常咸,完全吃不下口,没有任何配料地齋吃咸意粉,真的吃不下.不過意粉本身的質地是做得不錯的.是這晚大廚不在還

因為不夠飽,而且想再給餐廳機會,來點好吃點的東西,便試了Duck egg pesto spaghetti,但這個不只是失望,還要是難吃,因為鴨蛋的原固,汁做得非常咸,完全吃不下口,没有任何配料地齋吃咸意粉,真的吃不下.不過意粉本身的質地是做得不錯的.
是這晚大廚不在還是失準了嗎?因為這是我去過最差的餐廳呢

Homemade linguini fini 嘅homemade sausage 並不是切食一片片的腸仔,而係變咗肉碎溶咗喺個sauce 裡面。

Meatball on top of spaghetti (all covered with cheese) - 就咁睇相信芝士控會好開心。賣相吸引,可惜食落去比起homemade linguini fini 差得遠。Meatball 完全沒有期望的juicy,都幾乾
。麵條不錯沒有overcook,可惜肉醬不夠濃而且蕃茄味較淡,可能因為先食咗linguini fini那個辣肉sauce 有比較下有點失望。

Lastly, the My Mama’s Meatballs from Pirata is too dry and bland to my liking, especially that dull and lack-of-characteristic tomato sauce, my highly anticipated signature veal meatballs from Posto Pubblico does not disappoint me whereas has given the best texture, best taste and best tomato sauce with a generous shaves of parmigiano reggiano.

The first ones we tried was the The Ricky Rozay by The Butcher's Club. They had dry aged angus rump stuffed with butter poached lobster mousse, roasted marrow hollandaise, with a bed of truffle and salsify puree. The Butcher's Club definitely makes one of the best burger in town, but frankly I wasn't too sure about these extravagant but a tad ott Surf & Turf meatball because the beef was seriously rock hard, dry but under-seasoned, which is not what we usually expect from meatballs really. Interesting but not down-to-earth enough I would say,

Honestly speaking I have never been a huge fan of Jamie's Italian ever since its opening, and I wondered if I had way too much expectation from him. Their Gennaro's Homemade Meatballs (Gennaro is apparently a good old friend of Jamie) of the night came was a bun which served like a sandwich. Made with slow-cooked pork and beef, with their homemade nutty pistachio Mortadella melted on top and some sweet roasted red pepper tomato sauce and a mild green chili, it was actually pretty legit and was way better than the meatballs I previously had in their Causeway Bay outlet. I actually finished the whole thing because it was really irresistible...

The name of NOM gave the impression that they are quite proud of their expertise in making meatballs, which lifted up our expectation as well. Turned out they made their meatballs with ox tongue and bone marrow, which was rich and creamy, a bit like a meaty version of croquettes but without the potato. Each one was light and fluffy, very different from what you expect from meatballs but definitely a nice try,

La Paloma, being one of my favourite tapas place in town, presented the traditional Catalan Albondigas Con Sepia (Meatballs with the Squid basically). The meatballs were soft and juicy, soaking up the thick and flavourful fish sauce. In a Spanish perspective, the albondigas were quite legit, but I longed more for the ones that are tomotoey and cheesy.

Pubblico's Veal Meatballs by Post Pubblico - The REAL meatballs! The meat was so beefy and juicy, braised in a sweet tomato sauce and served with grated cheese. It was nothing fancy, so heavy and wonderful that plates were emptied within seconds. No wonder it had been the winner in the battle for the night!

Aside of the meatballs (six variations in total, which I was feeling myself transforming into a meatball myself.... ) the set menu also came with Linguini Fini's signature pastas, cheesy garlic bread, calamaris, salads, veggies and Banana Chocolate Cake to finish with. The pastas are still unbeatable, eggy and perfectly done, For $508 per guest, it was certainly a fantastic experience to be indulged with a great variety of signature meatballs as well as some heart-warming Italian food!
