1.柚子大蝦沙律:柚子是普通的那一種,不是泰國金柚;沙律味道酸酸的,唔覺甜味,加上生洋蔥的辛,感覺有丁點辣;大蝦只是中蝦而已,蝦肉是爽的。

甜品的椰子雪糕入口帶一點椰子肉和濃郁的椰香,另外的甜品併盤雖吸引也因甜胃也太飽而動不了這併盤,最後只吃了那件鮮甜的芒果,其他就留給有實力的食友。

父親節的泰國菜式既有泰菜風味,也因應港人的口味而有一點調整,因太刺激的菜式可能令年長的家人不易接受,而向港人容易接受的方面改變的話,可令出品更為適合給一家人在節慶一同分享。

今天下午約了朋友到銅鑼灣Mango Tree食lunch, 地點雖不在MTR隔離,但行過去都只用了10分鐘度,最緊要環境安靜,枱與枱之間距離好遠,傾計啱晒。午餐提供set lunch有前菜,主菜,飲品及甜品。我點了泰式大蝦金邊粉,朋友點了其他。個前菜魚餅好好味,外脆內juicy,個金邊粉好味非常,蝦大大隻份量大了點,如share,4人點3個set都可能夠。另一推介係甜品雪糕,芒果味濃還有芒果肉。唔知晚餐人唔人多,大家不妨一試!

To start, we had shrimp cakes, fried spring rolls and my favorite - grill pork neck!!!! The pork neck was grilled to perfection together with the Thai bbq sauce yummy! The sauce to go with the shrimp cakes and spring rolls was also very good, very special indeed (I think it is plum sauce with honey? Not sure. But it was so good)

For main dishes, we ordered the yellow curry crab as they were having a special promotion on the dish. (Went on a Monday, they also have other promotions for other weekdays) We also had fried garoupa with chilli sauce. The curry crab was heavenly!!! Completely worth the price. It's fresh. The curry sauce was scrumptious, I finished a whole bowl of rice with the sauce (I don't usually eat rice but the sauce was seriously so good!!)

After looking at reviews online, I kind of have prepared myself for expensive Thai food - not necessarily because the food was super duper good, but more because of the ambiance of the restaurant and stuff.

The five of us ordered 8/9 dishes to share: Mix satay, pork neck, fish cake, morning glory, pineapple rice, curry chicken, grill chicken, tom yum gong and a rotti.
We originally ordered a pomelo salad as well, but the pomelo was really bitter, so we had to return it. The manager said that because the pomelos aren't in season, thus the bitterness... if that's the case, why would they then serve them?

Anyway, overall I think the food was good, but not great.
The pork neck was really good. Not too fat/greasy. It's pretty well grilled - gives you a crispiness but definitely didn't dry out the meat.

The satay was also good. Like the sauce a lot. Wish there were more! The meat again was juicy - but could've been hotter when served.

The fish cakes were pretty good. There's a tinge of spiciness in it which didn't overwhelm but brough out the flavor of the fish cake.

The pineapple fried rice was another hit. The rice are dry and not mushy. It's also not oily. Tasted really good. The only thing is the portion is pretty small.

The tom yum was really salty, and not spicy enough. There could have been a stronger herb/spice flavor as well. So I'd say it was a bit disappointing.

The rotti was most disappointing of all. It's like the packaged ones you can get from the supermarket. For the price ($50 for 2 pieces), I'd expect something closer to a homemade rotti.

Service was only okay. The servers generally don't carry a smile on their face. And when you asked for water/napkins and stuff, they didn't seem willing to give.

Overall, I don't think the food was exceptionally impressive, but is definitely good thai food. But you can also get good thai food for much cheaper price/bigger portion. But I guess it'd be a good place for date night/birthday celebration.

I'd give it a 6.5/10.
