這夜和一班女朋友去Mercedes me Store吃飯特別開心,這裡的菜單只有一頁很簡單,可以一次過試很多款菜色。頭盤中我最喜歡的是Ramen Organic Egg,半隻雞蛋上有海膽、香蔥及生牛肉薄片,食材新鮮且口感豐富;另一款沙律有蜆肉、番茄、白蘿蔔、洋蔥及無花果,酸酸甜甜也很開胃;其實我很少吃鵝肝,可是這一道Duck Fat Aged Foie Gras 的肥鴨肝配麵包和甜桃醬,嫰滑香口帶點甜也很不錯;外脆內嫩的香煎雞翼Truffled Chicken Wing 配松露忌廉醬,帶來獨特的味道。

主菜方面,我會推薦Australian Wagyu Sirloin 烤澳洲和牛西冷扒,不點醬汁更能吃出原汁原味,牛味香濃。吃素的可以選擇黑松露野菌釀雲吞,內有金菇、蘑菇很香口。在座女生都是甜品控,我們點了三款不同的:Tofu Panna Cotta、Brown Butter Cake和Aerated White Chocolate,當中我比較喜歡白朱古力配蛋白霜脆餅和橘柑雪葩,配搭很refreshing。飲品方面,推薦House Red和cocktail Tailfin,非酒精飲品可以試試果香味的King Pin,或是像士多啤梨milk shake的Turbocharger。

I returned with my family this Sunday for brunch as I had a wonderful experience two weeks ago. This time we had ordered 3 brunch sets, 3 a-la-carte main courses and drinks. We were shocked to see the significantly smaller portion (almost half the size) when the appetizers from the brunch sets were served compared to the exact same brunch set we had two weeks ago. I returned with my family this Sunday for brunch as I had a wonderful experience two weeks ago. This time we had ordered 3 brunch sets, 3 a-la-carte main courses and drinks. 

We were shocked to see the significantly smaller portion (almost half the size) when the appetizers from the brunch sets were served compared to the exact same brunch set we had two weeks ago. We immediately brought this to the attention of the venue manager and showed her the picture that was taken two weeks ago. According to the venue manager, the company has changed the policy to reduce the food portion because some customers have complained of food wastage. However, the price of the brunch sets remains the same. 

Moreover, the venue manager said that the restaurant purposely reduced the amount of food because we were sharing the appetizers for the 3 sets and that they do not allow sharing of the appetizers. This “policy” was not stated on the menu and as this is not a buffet, it is the customers’ decision to share their appetizers as they please. We had also asked and made sure that we can order the a-la-carte menu for brunch when making the reservation. Despite our dissatisfaction with the service and the portions, the venue manager never bothered returning to our table to make sure if we were fine with the rest of our meal. 

Upon a second attempt to provide our feedback after we paid, the venue manager honestly had the nerve to ask us were we NOT full from the meal portions (which is none of her business). She did not care if returning customers were disappointed with their services nor did she try to respond or handle customer feedback and complaints until we approached her again for the second time. We are very disappointed by the attitude of the venue manager and clearly expressed this to her that this is not the way to handle a customer situation as the manager in charge of the restaurant. 

This restaurant is considered to be a high end restaurant in the city and also bears the name of a premier car brand. The incident on Sunday has shown poorly on the venue manager. We will not return again nor will we recommend anyone to experience such horrible service from a fine dining establishment.

通常餐廳都會提供餐包,但這包不是一般的餐包,首先它是pretzel,而且隨包付上的牛油是自家製之餘,還加入了楓糖漿;味道就像在吃pancake一樣,十分特別,十分美味,我忍不住下吃了好幾個呢。

味道與法國餐廳不同,這裡的加入了辣,辣度不算低,多了一份刺激感;牛肉味很鮮;低下的包烤得十分香脆,喜歡不是用普通的法包,特別又美味。看似不大,其實一件他他的份量是超多的,一件可以兩個人share吧。

不是普通的生牛片,當中還有蛋白,而所謂的蛋黃不止是溏心蛋黃,還有海膽呢,超級邪惡吧!! 海膽味鮮甜;生牛肉亦十分新鮮;可以的話,當然用生牛包著海膽吃吧。

最後,這夜得到了的是雙重驚喜,首先謝謝驚喜的birthday wish;另一驚喜的便是這份甜點真的很美味,超級的特別。白色的是白朱古力賣相有點像honey comb,但質感則一點也不硬的;白朱古力充滿奶香,一點也不過甜,入口即化;伴著的是柑桔雪葩,味道與白朱古力十分相配,絕對值得一吃。

當打開餐牌時,曾想過掃餐牌的,雖然只有一版,但也有二十至三十款左右,絕不能全部吃光,只好選擇一些新奇好味的款式。先由較為清新的Chili King Crab及Scallop Tartare開始,鮮甜的蟹肉配合大廚特製的醬汁調味,放在蝦片上享用,帶有泰式風味,清新開胃;而爽口鮮甜的帶子竟然配上香脆的麥片,組合新穎,感覺相當清新。

兩款主菜接腫而來,由Roasted & Fried Monkfish開始,魚肉處理得很美妙,十分嫩滑,以椰子泡沫及咖哩鹽來調味,充滿了亞洲風味;好戲一浪接一浪,Australian Wagyu Sirloin上來時,不禁嘩然起來,份量之多實在與價錢不成對比,而且味道還很好,表面烤得焦香,內裡呈嫩紅色,蘸上由韓國辣椒醬及BBQ醬調成的特製醬汁,絕對有助提升味道的層次。

大家飲飽食醉後,始終不能沒有甜品的出現,況且甜品的吸引程度相當高。Jerusalem Artichoke、Tofu Panna Cotta及Brown Butter Cake三款甜品都很吸引,用阿支竹來做甜品也是第一次品嚐到,味道清新與刁草的味道相配襯;豆腐做的Panna Cotta極富豆香,以酸酸甜甜的雜莓來襯托,別樹一格,還有焦糖杏仁千層酥與紅菜頭雪葩的組合,真是出奇地合襯,每款甜品都有著深不可測的美味,而且還可隱約感受到香草用於甜品之中的微妙變化。

We begin the night with some cocktails, I have ordered Stirling first. It is infused sake and coconut mescal, then topped with a layer of the matcha and banana foam. Frankly the color isn’t that appealing, but it looks a lot better with the lavender. You can taste the coconut flavor and the banana flavor is rather strong, you can hardly taste the matcha.

Another cocktail is Rote Sau, it is more than just tasting the cocktail, it requires your nose as well. Release the mist at the bottom, you can smell a strong smoky sense. The cocktail itself also carries a hint of smoky taste and a bit of sourness. The presentation is amazing, I am sure girls will like it.

Since Mercedes Benz is a German brand, instead of some normal bread basket, they serve their House Made Pretzel. The mini ball shaped pretzels are softer and less salty than the regular pretzel, yet the magic touch is the maple butter beside them. The butter is infused with maple syrup, the sweet, flavorful and buttery taste is fascinated with the pretzels. Anyone would be in love with it and we cannot resist to have another one of it.

Up next is an appetizer, Ramen Organic Egg. It is sort of an upgraded devil egg, a slice of the raw wagyu beef underneath the soft boiled egg that topped with sea urchin. You suppose to wrap the egg and the fillings with the raw wagyu beef, all the rich flavors work perfectly with each other. Those crispy garlic and chopped chives definitely add a bit of the refreshing taste, NAILED IT!!

The following appetizer is Scallop Tartare, the scallops and white radish have been diced into small pieces. They are covered with almond granola and the very light green sauce (the photo seem to be yellow) under that is actually avocado aioli. Gently mix all the ingredients with the sauce, the texture is fabulous, is soft and crunchy at the same time. NOM NOM~

Soon, the super appealing Steak Tartare has been served to us. There is a niche of baikal caviar on the top of each bites and the pink tartare is bottomed with the gravy bread. The whole dish is full of textures and is completely flavourful, no one can say no to it!

Down to main courses, the Australian Wagyu Sirloin has arrived the table. Pick up one of the pieces, you are able to see that gorgeous and mouthwatering pinkish meat in the middle!!! It is pairing with an orange Korean barbecue sauce, it is slightly spicy and absolutely match with the beef flavor. I love the sirloin isn’t that fatty and the meat is rather tender, this is exactly how a good sirloin should be!

The second main course is Spanned Crab Linguine, the rolled linguine is topped and decorated with sea urchin, bottarga and herbs. It is a bit spicy, but the linguine is cooked perfectly and all the flavors work well together. Nevertheless, it is quite to notice the crab meat though.

As for the dessert, we have tried two oddly amazing dishes, one is Jerusalem Artichoke and one is Brown Butter Cake. The first one is a popsicle coated with local organic honey, dill and filled with Jerusalem artichoke ice. The Jerusalem artichoke taste similar to ginger, so this dessert is quite refreshing and definitely for the hot summer~~ Another one is Brown Butter Cake, the rectangle shaped of caramel and almond parfait is sided a scoop of iced beetroot. The combination of the nutty sweet flavor and the light sweet beet taste is oddly cooperated, also it won’t be sweetness overload.

地點係中環夠premium and convenient ....設計樓上好坐過樓下,但樓上 air conditioning 又似不足。睇下 menu , 有啲前菜幾抵食,但有啲又貴得唔值。點左唔同 dishes 大家 share,fire roasted eggplant 太太太 salty , 跟 staff 反映,換了 size 縮小成一半也不知有沒有,反正 主打的eggplant竟沒有了,好神奇。跟 manager 說,相信大家亦忍不住笑吧。另外 平平無奇既沙律收$200多,莫名其妙,我覺得完全 not value for money. 其他就0K啦。甜品最抵食,味道亦算唔差,good。
