So we had gone to trattoria caffe monteverdi long time back before well they shifted to central, with all the bad reviews coming in , i definitely didn't want to go this restaurant but somehow we ended up booking a table at the restaurant and to my surprise when i reached the restaurant it still had that classical italian atmosphere say similar to a modern tavern i might say. It was very lovely how the servers treated us and how my kids loved to keep on asking questions about everything to the servers there and them always replying with patience as i thought they would definitely start ignoring as it was quite a rush that night and the restaurant was very busy.
We started ordering the basic items which we used to enjoy in trattoria and without a doubt they have lived to the expectations of serving the perfect fresh pasta we always remembered having when we were  dining at the syp one.
It was very nice to also meet the chef who took his time to meet us and explain a few bits about the new dishes which this restaurant has.The chittara spaghetti, trofie in pesto, and also the pork chop were very remarkable , as a personal experience this restaurant has out done themselves in the past and are continuing to do so, Will definitely visit this restaurant and would reccomend people to visit it too,Its one of the few restaurants having certain dishes which you won't find in any other italian restaurant in hong kong to say the least in central but that is all a personal opinion of me and my family with the experience we have had here.
Other Info. : The pork chop was so juicy and since it was grilled the flavor was something very different than the pork chops i had at other restaurants.

Quite different from the Belgium-style soup base mussels which I usually had. The chilli red sauce is a bit spicy (but not too much) and goes surprisingly well with the mussels, served with bread.

Had the calamari, squid ink pasta, sea bass with tomato base and a panna cotta. The calamari is really nice, its not fried which is a healthy option. It’s not chewy and its cooked perfectly, well seasoned. Good appetizer choice. The fresh made squid ink pasta is al dente in texture but i would wish for more squid ink taste. If you book via open rice, its 20% off so gd bargain. The panna cotta is ok but not brilliant. Could definitely add fresh vanilla bean to enhance the favor considered they are authentic Italian resto.

中環附近一向多好野食😋好多時揀餐廳已經揀到眼花繚亂。今次就同朋友試左呢間睇上去幾正中嘅意大利餐廳🥂✨Calamari Rings ($140)我地叫左呢道魷魚圈作為前菜,微微烤焦嘅魷魚圈撈埋特調嘅忌廉汁食,味道微咸;口感彈牙得黎唔會太韌。✨Vincisgrassi ($230)經典嘅意大利肉醬千層面,最外層係烤焦左嘅cheese, 裏面夾滿左層層嘅肉醬,成個texture 唔會較乾身唔會太濕,味道非常唔錯😋✨Grilled Pork Chop ($348)另一道main course, 呢個豬扒我就覺得唔算話好特別,同平時港式西餐廳食到嘅煎豬扒分別唔大,所以性價比相對較低。

我地叫左呢道魷魚圈作為前菜,微微烤焦嘅魷魚圈撈埋特調嘅忌廉汁食,味道微咸;口感彈牙得黎唔會太韌。

✨Vincisgrassi ($230)
經典嘅意大利肉醬千層面,最外層係烤焦左嘅cheese, 裏面夾滿左層層嘅肉醬,成個texture 唔會較乾身唔會太濕,味道非常唔錯😋

✨Grilled Pork Chop ($348)
另一道main course, 呢個豬扒我就覺得唔算話好特別,同平時港式西餐廳食到嘅煎豬扒分別唔大,所以性價比相對較低。

餐湯係忌廉湯,灑上煙肉碎湯底更加濃郁已忌廉湯裏面口感咁香滑

仲有法包麵包麵包裏便有香草說香草🌿點上橄欖醋汁麵包,好食到停唔到口,好開胃㗎



✨Grilled rib-eye steak
本身我好鍾意食牛扒,所以揀咗嗰兩set同一樣牛排
用炭燒5成熟牛扒,中間有少少粉紅啱啱好5成熟,口感軟腍腍,外邊香口無比因用炭燒,令到成塊牛扒鮮味提升更香口,側邊伴菜有燒過青椒🫑青瓜茄子🍆中和返牛肉唔油膩感黑椒汁好香濃口感更加香口



甜品 🍮杏仁蛋糕
細細件蛋糕仔啱晒我口味又唔會太油膩裏面仲有杏仁片,食到蛋糕微甜 帶有點點脆口又有口感


最後餐飲叫咗杯凍檸茶 甘香紅茶味帶少少酸一點唔苦澀味,飲番杯解暑
