I especially love the grilled eggplant! It was so flavourful and complex, but not too strong. Smoked octopus was also nice and tender. Lamb chops were sooooo good just that I wish the portion is slightly bigger cos I couldn’t have enough of it lol

燒章魚鬚肉質剛好 不會像咬橡筋 但品質在2次到訪時有輕微不一樣

同一般既panna cotta好唔同,呢款用咗ricotta cheese去做,食落帶少少乳酪般既酸味,之後會試到微微芝士既奶騷味,好特別😛,配上底下既咖啡汁同杏仁一齊食,咖啡既香味令到成個奶凍更加香,而且奶凍本身做到好滑溜,不過就在座就唔係個個都鍾意呢種芝士味,我自己就覺得幾好😂

In fact, the lunch/ brunch menu is so short that they may as well not give you an option (four starters and seven mains--so if you come as a party of four or more and take their advice of sharing, there's not be much choice left and every quartet at the restaurant would more or less be eating the same things). And you can’t opt out of dessert, even if you don’t eat dessert at all. So diners with strong (dietary) preferences should beware of that. And while portion sizes are not large, dishes are for the most part so generously salted and oiled that you would definitely walk out satiated, if not for the afternoon then for the entire day.

The kitchen is entirely open and you can see four staff members hard at work, repeating the cycle of taking out marinated meat, popping it in one of the ovens or smokers and then taking them out for slicing. They are extremely fast, their every movement so accurate and detached that the operation resembles a miniscule factory.

My feelings are ambivalent so far. I thought the hosts were pretty friendly and professional, but I didn’t think that the quality of the dishes we were served on this occasion justified such a compact menu that severely restricted choice. But I can imagine that this is a much nicer place for a full evening of good company, drinks and a wider range of foods to pick from, especially given the gorgeously furnished interior, the bustling vibes and an accommodating team. Since lunch is such a bargain at barely 200 per head, I would give the place an OK-leaning-towards-good overall. If I do return, though, it will not be during the day.

This was an okay dish and pairing celery with a fishy duo of mackerel and salmon roe was a winner. The white stuff is blended cream with mackerel, and this dish would seem more like a dip for bread than an appetizer per se, and I have trouble fathoming the idea of consuming a plate of cream just like that. So yes, it'd be a better idea to share.

This was, frankly, not good at all. The smoky aroma and the flavors of the meat were all top notch, but the meat itself was barely chewable. It took some work to finish less than half of the dish. We had picanha a couple times just in the past few weeks and it was never so tough.

True to its namesake restaurant, this cheesecake is browned. It’s the cakey kind of cheesecake that’s flour- and egg-heavy and baked under high heat, a variation of a Basque cheesecake. Very good, or so I heard.

Food and service was excellent. Not to mention the prices are very reasonable for the quality. Mr Brown 係經常去嘅餐廳,這裏的烤爐煮法與別不同,令食物有着burning tips. 這餐廳最出名的chef menu 每位$398,但另外一樣散叫的食物(daily cut)亦十分出色。假如四人或以上我會強烈推介點chef menu, 但如果之前兩個人吃,我會建議吃烤牛肉。今天的daily cut 係Australian Wagyu Sirloin, 我點了Medium rare不會太肥,$600 大概600克,價錢實惠。配了一支黎巴嫩的紅酒,medium body, 有點香辣,但有點過酸。熱點了基本的pork muffin, octopus, grilled cabbage, 這幾款食物都差不多是必吃食物,經常被放上網,我亦吃過很多次,就不再拍照了。反而甜品有點驚喜,沒有點cheesecake, 而選擇了salted caramel slice,在很甜的caramel 中用了鹹味去中和。Mr Brown 係你好想食濃味燒烤食物,或者諗唔到食乜嘢嘅時候嘅一個safe choice.
