第一次出食評。因為有張活魚刺身既優惠卷, 所以第一次去呢間鳴門食。星期六晚上9點多, 不用等位。坐位不是太好坐, 似平民茶餐廳一坐低, 未點菜, 服務員已經送上食物 原來佢搞錯左即時比活魚刺身既優惠卷, 雖然係最先比, 但最後先到, 等左差唔多45分鐘主角:活魚刺身很薄很薄, 太細塊又太薄,食不出什麼,估計1/4條魚的份量也沒有燒蛤太貴,差不多15元一隻,太咸三文魚骨,唯一抵食,16元有4-5塊,味道也不錯另外再點了幾個小食, 雖然9點後有部份半價優惠, 但都唔平11點關門, 10點就已經last order, 10點3, D野岩岩黎左冇幾耐, 仲食緊野, 就有個服務員突然係後面伸張賬單出黎叫埋單比左張卡佢之後, 唔駛幾分鐘, 個服務員返黎, 佢其中一隻手, 不停咁係度狂禁支原子筆, 發出嗒、嗒、嗒。。。。仲有差唔多一個鐘先關門,就催客人埋單離開,比呢個價錢,得到呢個服務態度,真係完全唔值!快餐店服務都好過呢間野

Just ate here (still stuffed from it). This was pretty good food.

There seemed to be some sort of special promotion going on. There were all these signs hung up that said "Asahi $1" and then they said a bunch of other stuff that I didn't understand, because I don't read Chinese. So we ordered 2 Asahis and we got... a bucket of 6 Asahis. We thought that maybe "drink 'em if you want, don't if you don't" but no, they opened and poured us beers that we didn't ask for. I'm not complaining, because I love beer, and the more, the better if you ask me. Plus, if I really did get 6 Asahis for $6, that's a sweet deal. I didn't scrutinize the check, so I actually don't know how much the beer was. Please comment on this review if you know about this promotion, I'd like to know (and go back if it's as amazing as it seemed).

Here's what we (me and my wife) had: tuna belly roll, soft-shell crab roll, assorted tempura, pork with Japanese pastry skewer, and beef udon soup.

The tuna belly roll was our favorite. The rolls were small, but they gave you decent sized portions of tuna within them, and the tuna itself is creamy and delicious. There's a little bit of wasabi in the roll itself. Normally, I'm not a fan, but it worked. 8/10.

The soft-shell crab was pretty standard: fried soft-shell with some imitation crabmeat (?), slices of avocado on top, and some fish roe. A medium-sized roll. I will say that the crab was soft, as opposed to some other "soft-shell" crabs I've had that require a deal of crunching. 7/10

The assorted tempura was exactly what you'd expect. We got 2 pcs eggplant, 1 mushroom, 1 sweet potato, 3 shrimp. My wife thought her piece of eggplant was undercooked, while I thought mine was perfectly cooked. The shrimp was cooked to a perfect level of doneness. I also liked the light touch with the panko. 7/10

Pork with Japanese pastry skewer: I was... confused by this dish. The skewer itself was small, with only three pieces of... stuff. The stuff looked like pork, and tasted porky, but had a texture that definitely was not the texture of any part of a pig. My best guess is that they made a pastry-thing out of pork and some other stuff, and then skewered that, marinated in teriyaki sauce, and grilled it. OK, I guess. Not what one is expecting when ordering grilled pork. 4/10

Beef udon: I don't like Japanese soups. I can handle a small portion of plain miso, but after that, that's pretty much it. My wife is convinced that there are "good" Japanese noodle soups (not saying that they're objectively bad, just that I don't like them. My wife is convinced there will be ones that she and I like, but I have yet to see any evidence of that. If you like them, fine, good for you!). Since I don't, I don't want to review the soup. If I said it was bad, that would be misleading, because it would imply it was "bad for a Japanese soup" when it's just "bad for me". You'll have to read other reviews on this one.

All in all, great restaurant. I would (and probably will) go here again. Overall score: 7/10

The menu definitely had some exciting options. The table next to us had flying fish, with wings attached!

右下:大蜆miso soup--------又係估唔到有幾粒大大粒蜆~ok wor,個湯都幾入味,應該唔係加水沖嗰d~~~

左上:溫泉玉子冷稻庭烏冬-------------喂!呢個唔係二人set裡面ga wor,都咁細碗?基本上真係自己係屋企煮個烏冬咁大把!!細得好緊要,而且真係就咁一隻溫泉蛋就算.....個碗又唔靚,成件事好冇誠意.....味道方面都係no comment,冇特別
右上:香蔥toro卷---------我哋初初以為佢會係大卷lor....點知係mini卷,即係人哋卷蟹柳,青瓜嗰d size lor....魚蓉好味,但係紫菜唔脆lor.....食完好似冇食咁....

最後埋單要成$650!wa勁貴呀,食咗好少嘢咁ja......個二人set本身要$876?有冇人會叫呀.......同埋呢,有冇人可以幫我計下,佢個service charge係幾多%?好明顯唔係10% lor...我又影唔到......成$100 service charge呀!!!!

在朋友有coupon的大前提下, 我們便去了魚市場開餐 =]可能是之前日本地震的關係, 香港很多日本餐廳也推出了優惠 “救亡”在這, 我看到了生啤1元任飲, 真的很吸引!!!!!我看到在座的每枱客人點了生啤......除了我們這一枱....沒辦法, 友人說明天上班不想喝.再來是點菜, 我們叫了牛乳生蠔鍋, 幾客壽司、卷物, 海老天婦羅, 2條燒魚 (一個是秋刀魚, 另一個忘了名字)牛乳生蠔鍋 : 湯底很香很濃很滑, 生蠔肥美, 推介海老天婦羅 : 炸粉鬆脆, 不油膩, 蝦很彈牙燒秋刀魚 : 平時老媽用來煎的秋刀魚, 很乾很”鞋”, 估不到燒起來原來是很鮮甜, 很多汁另外的一個燒魚 : 很特別, 一邊比較乾身, 而另一邊就很 “淋”, 味道本身有點咸, 但吃來其實也滿不錯卷物 : 不算好吃到令人眼前一亮, 但也絕對絕對不是難吃, 是合格之上吧, 不竟感覺喜歡燒魚多一點^^其實本來是想多叫一客劍魚腩刺身, 但侍應是剛好賣完了另外一提的是我們叫了一客牛油果卷, 但好像漏單了, 前後問了3-4次才上菜(也是最後上的一碟), 除此之外, 其他的服務,、衛生都不錯.結帳後又給了coupon @0@

另外的一個燒魚 : 很特別, 一邊比較乾身, 而另一邊就很 “淋”, 味道本身有點咸, 但吃來其實也滿不錯
卷物 : 不算好吃到令人眼前一亮, 但也絕對絕對不是難吃, 是合格之上吧, 不竟感覺喜歡燒魚多一點^^

其實本來是想多叫一客劍魚腩刺身, 但侍應是剛好賣完了
另外一提的是我們叫了一客牛油果卷, 但好像漏單了, 前後問了3-4次才上菜(也是最後上的一碟), 除此之外, 其他的服務,、衛生都不錯.
結帳後又給了coupon @0@ (救亡活動之一?!)
可以下次再來吃啦 ^^
