由於BUNCH 時間剛過, 我地點左1 個 Pepperoni Pizza ($108) 兩份食, 即叫即做的, 熱辣辣上枱, Pepperoni 沒有太多的配料, 但見到軟棉棉的芝士, 已經令人心動, 薄薄的餅底, 不會令人有非常飽肚的感覺, 我不明白為何還有很多Pizza 連鎮店還會不斷在推出新口味的厚底Pizza...

Pepperoni 上有類似辣椒醬的配料, 芝士雖多, 但也不會有太膩的感覺, 非常讚!

  味道方面, 個tiramisu都唔錯, 唔太甜同埋個酒味岩岩好... 至於個carrot cake都唔差!

食到咁上下, 最後叫左杯Mocca,一路飲一路同個friend吹水.. 我地都坐左差唔多2個幾鐘,因為個環境幾舒服同埋輕快既音樂令人特別relax!

總括黎講我覺得呢間餐廳都唔錯, 食lunch既話都會係一個不錯既選擇

My wife likes dinners with lots of small dishes to share, like tapas, so I had my eye on Nico's Spuntino Bar, as spuntini had been described to me as "Italian tapas."

When we arrived, I'll admit that I was a little disappointed. I had hoped that there would be lots of distinctively Italian little dishes that were new to me. It was actually mostly bar food (sliders, fried calamari), cured meats, cheeses, and olives. Nothing I don't like, just nothing particularly exciting.

We wanted to order a platter for two, but we were uncertain as to how many other spuntini we should get to round out a meal, so we asked. The conversation went something like this:

Us: If we got this platter, how many other spuntini should we get? How big are they?
Server: Small.
Us: So like how big is this one?
Server: [makes a shape with her hands]
Us: So we should get like 3 or 4 of these to share?
Server: No.
Us: How many should we get to share?
Server: If you get that you need to order two.
Us: We can't share?
Server: No.
Us: Um... let us think about the menu some more.

I'm assuming that there was a communication problem and the server did not actually mean that we couldn't share. Anyway, our new plan was: pick whatever we thought was the right amount, order it, and then just order more if it wasn't enough.
Meat and Cheese Platter for Two

The first thing to arrive was the meat and cheese platter for two. This we ordered off the spuntino menu (there's a similar thing on the a la carte menu) You could get the platter for (I think) two, or three, or four people. It's nice of them to scale things like that.

First, a complaint. When this arrived I of course did not have the menu any more. But I am about 95% certain that this was described as coming with more than just meat and cheese. The particular platter we ordered does not appear on the online menus Staunton's Group posted for Nico's, but on the online a la carte menu the antipasti platter is described as coming with "olives and pickles" and all the platters on the spuntino menu are described as coming with "condiments." We didn't get olives, pickles, or condiments. Yes, I could've complained to the servers but (a) I didn't know exactly what it was that I wasn't getting and (b) I was already somewhat exasperated with the servers.

I don't know what the meats and cheeses were exactly, as no one made an attempt to explain that to us (admittedly, I didn't ask). I'm not an Italian cured meats expert, but the meat at the top of the picture might be capocollo and the closer one looks like some kind of salami? I'm even worse at cheeses, but the top right cheese was something hard, dry, and brittle like parmesan or pecorino, but less intense and less salty. The other cheese... no clue.

Mostly I thought the meats and cheeses were unremarkable. Absolutely nothing wrong with them, but nothing special about them either. We asked for bread with them (and I'm really surprised we had to ask) and as HK standards dictate, the bread was not particularly good. If I came back, I don't think I'd order this again. C-... slightly worse than average.

We ordered one thing off the a la carte menu, the spicy salami salad ("from Campania"), described thusly: "seared spicy salami, foccaccia croutons, cherry tomatoes, avocado, mixed field greens, balsamic dressing." I was quite a fan of the salad. They were judiciously light on the dressing. The searing helped the salami, but though I fear I'm beginning to sound like a broken record in my openrice reviews, I must say: the thing described as spicy was not spicy. There was a good mix of avocados and tomatoes in the salad. A-... excellent.

Croquettes were not our first choice. We had ordered something that sounded exciting, but was also inexplicable (it was described as a "whole roasted pig" with mushrooms or something, but at $60 or whatever it was not that). Anyway, after the meat and cheese platter and the salad arrived, we were told that they were out of the mysterious thing so we ordered the croquettes instead.

I notice that on their online menu, the croquettes have cheese in them. These one's didn't, but as I said the menu was different at the restaurant. Tartar sauce seems like, and was, a strange accompaniment for croquettes. I thought they were on the bland side, but that's kind of natural for this dish. They were nice and crispy, and not greasy. They were distinctly cumin-y. C+... better than average.

We also got calamari rings. Like the croquettes, they were cumin-y and came with tartar sauce. I would have guessed marinara, but according to cookitaly.com, "Dipping sauces are not at all Italian, as they defeat the point of the crispness and tend to overpower the delicate taste of the squid - which is what this dish is all about." So I guess the tartar sauce is for us uncouth expats. Anyway, the squid was reasonably tender and the batter was nice and light. B+, good.

I will mention that the cocktails were good but small. I had a Rosso Sour-- a bourbon sour with a red wine float-- and I really liked it. My wife had an Americano (which the menu helpfully informed us was not American in origin, it's just named that because American tourists in Italy like to drink it). I found the Americano too bitter, but my wife who likes bitter things enjoyed it.

I'm starting to form an opinion of Staunton's group restaurants in general. The food's not particularly good, but not bad or terrible either. The servers aren't particularly competent, but certainly not wholly incompetent. They make middle-of-the-road, average restaurants for expats who don't like to walk more than a few feet from the escalators. Nico's gets a solid C from me: Average.

Other Info. : 依餐埋單六百多因另外散叫蠔同有氣礦泉水所以唔算貴, 不過既然餐廳打旗號做 brunch 頭盤甜品任食但遲遲都唔 refill 我會覺得佢地實在太欠缺誠意喇, 加上食物味道唔突出尤其係主菜更略為普通 既然其他地方有咁多好野食, 我諗依間有排都唔需要再黎食住喇

意大利式雲吞,內裡餡料是豬肉加牛肉,配上蕃茄羅勒醬汁。我從來都覺得最好吃的肉丸是牛肉加豬肉 (例子有 IKEA 的瑞典肉丸),它有著牛的濃厚肉味及豬的油脂。
可惜「Nico's」的這道效果很差勁,調味汁料是可以的,但肉丸餡料是出奇地乾巴巴,雲吞皮亦太厚太硬。我明白意大利的家常雲吞皮是偏厚,但也不致於是硬到猶如未煮熟的粉團一樣,我懷疑它是未完全 defrozed 就拿去煮了。而且六隻小雲吞賣$118,實在有點 over 了吧?!完全零推薦。

主菜份量大,而且賣相亦好吸引,絕冇因為係團購而欺場。
豬扒炸得脆口,肉質鬆軟,但薯條就麻麻,唔夠脆,好快就淋哂。
Pizza方面,芝士同腸份量適中,味道唔錯。因為餅底好薄,所以唔會太滯。
至於甜品,可於buffet枱任選,都有5-6款選擇。但我就覺得略甜咗啲,所以每件只係試咗少少。
雖然限時90分鐘,但已相當足夠,好滿足。
其實呢度正價menu都唔算太貴,絕對可以encore。

Learnt of this restaurant in Open Rice, in which it has invited many good reviews. So, I suggested to my friends to check this place out. It is quite conveniently located aside of the SOHO escalator. We have made reference to the reviews in Open Rice and ordered those recommended dishes. 1. Antipasti platter - it is always the first choice of the first dish in an Italian meal and to go with a glass of prosecco while we’re waiting for our friend. Impressed with their offer of a varieties of marinated olives and a half piece of artichoke. But, the grissine - the crispy Italian bread sticks - was stale. 2. mussels - served in a pot which could keep the temperature. There were about 12 pieces, very generous portion. Mussels were of rather large size, fresh and fleshy. The tomato sauce was very delicious and you could enjoy the sauce by dipping the toasted bread. Again, the toasted bread was dried. 3. Roasted suckling pig - we Cantonese are picky with roasted pig, but we all found this dish excellently cooked. Well, there is a saying that cooking suckling pig is the easiest thing. The flesh was very juicy, delicate, bursting with sticky juices. The skin was thin and crispy outside, which is the most difficult part in preparing a roasted pig. It was served a bowl of grilled vegetables , bell peppers, zucchini, etc seasoned with herbs. It was also a nice touch to put a stake of rosemary there. 4. calamari squid ink pizza - very special pizza using squid ink in the dough , thus the pizza based was in black. Topped with calamari, rocket and red bell pepper. It looked amazing, but the taste was a bit flat and not too aromatic.

It's a nice and cosy place for a gathering of a small group and dine in a casual way. Their food and beverages are reasonably priced and food portions are quite generous.

「Kurobuta Pork Chop」即是極黑豚豬扒,烤得香口微焦,質感則軟腍而爽口,帶點肥膏的位置更是甘香。伴碟中的sauteed turnip tips令人驚喜萬分,像極了我們中國人常吃的雪菜,咸咸酸酸,感覺較雪菜清淡一點,但配上豬扒同吃,卻能產生極佳的配合。

來到Pasta了,試了兩款,先是「Sea Urchin & Caviar Angel Hair」,相當豪華的一道,可是海膽味道不夠濃郁,butter cream sauce的味道比海膽更強烈,所以顯得海膽味有點淡薄,相反,魚子醬卻下得恰到好處,混合後仍嚐到那股咸香味道,加多些海膽來煮醬汁,應會更加美味。

另一款pasta是自行配搭的,我們選了whole wheat penne及Quattro Formaggi Sauce為基本,再加上Spicy Salami作為配料,效果十分好。混和了Caciocavallo,pecorino,mozzarella及Blue Cheese的醬汁芝香十足,而Spicy Salami則加添了一絲絲的辣味,令煙煙靱靱的長通粉增加無限美味。

最後,甜品首選一定是Galeto,款式多達十六款,當中更有Nico’s專有味道,如柚子雪葩等。因今次胃口已飽,只吃了兩款雪葩解解滯,分別是柚子雪葩及荔枝雪葩,前者清新脫俗,後者香甜可口,實在非常美味。
這兒的感覺真的很輕鬆,一邊品嚐美食,一邊與朋友談天說地,真的不知幾寫意,加上合理的價錢,是朋友歡聚的好地方。

這道沙拉永遠都是我喜歡吃的一道, 基本上如果材料新鮮就會好吃

這個是我要推薦的pizza, 好好吃! 薄餅底是有韌度的那種
風乾火腿跟無花果的toppings一起吃味道真的非常美味! 加上芝士加番茄底醬
滋味無窮, 讓人吃不停口, 難怪這個薄餅奪得了2012年的香港餐飲展薄餅金獎

這一頓吃得甚是滿足,除了入坐不久遞上團購券之外,完全不覺得自己是在吃團購餐。因為無論是服務、食物份量與質素,也是水準之上。特別一題的是,我們飽餐後,仔細看看餐紙上的餐牌,發現團購餐的食物也是餐廳一般散叫的食物,鄰座的外籍食客是散叫的,份量與我們的完全相同,可見這餐廳沒有因為是團購的關係而將貸就價,真的能做到團購的真正意義--以優惠價作招徠,期望客人再次光臨!

以正價來吃,我們也覺得物有所值!何況是以超低價來享用呢!我們簡單計算過,這一頓真的要上千元,但現在只花四百元便可,真是超值!

水牛芝士配蕃茄其實巳不是什麼新鮮的配搭, 但這裡特別的是在於淋在上方的這個DECOCREAM. 單聽這個醬汁名字好像有點陌生, 其實這是黑醋醬來的, 但質地較黑醋來得厚身濃稠, 不過酸甜度調配得宜, 絕不嗆喉, 入口還帶有濃香的黑醋味道, 配上軟棉的水牛芝士和鮮甜多汁的蕃茄非常匹配. 這個醬用來沾麵包吃也是非常的一流, 我們一枱人紛紛拿著這支意大利黑醋醬左唧右唧的來配各款麵包!

這裡也有提供幾款風乾火腿

但前菜中最受歡迎的當然還是大眾喜愛的芝士了. 是夜分別提供了三款紅酒芝士, 啤酒芝士和不是人人受得了的藍芝士. 而宅女當中最喜愛的是啤酒芝士和藍芝士, 前者切粒形式上來, 放入口後越搭越有陣陣的啤酒香味亦有淡淡的芝士味, 其實濃度不算好蛋, 多吃幾顆也保證不會碎. 而後者更是不得了, 藍芝士入口先是帶點咸香, 再來是那種發烤的芝士濃香, 雖然那種獨特的味道不是人人喜愛, 但宅女作為重口味支持者便覺得非常好吃了!
看看這裡的餐牌居然寫著芝士和火腿賣價都只是幾十元, 還是要在SOHO區, 怎樣可能?! 一問之下原來餐廳是直接由意大利供應商入口, 中間沒有經過代理或批發, 也沒有從定價過高, 因此價格甚至是比某些高級超市更來得便宜.

上來黑漆漆的一大塊真的嚇了大家一跳! 平日薄餅吃得多, 但黑色的真的是第一次見! 原來餅底是加有墨魚汁來做成. 烤出來後只是放上魷魚圈, 三色椒和火箭菜, 最後加入橄欖油便完全. 配料看起來好像很簡單, 不過出來的造型黑白分明, 色彩鮮艷, 絕對是坊間少見的薄餅造型!
吃一口, 餅底似乎未夠剛才三文魚的那麼脆口, 吃起來淋身了一點, 不過仍是十分薄身的, 而非常特別的墨汁餅底吃起來發覺沒有看起來的那麼有驚喜, 墨汁不太突出, 只覺是普通的薄身餅底. 而上面的魷魚圈可以再做肥厚一點吧, 幸好火箭菜夠味, 三色椒又煮得軟淋入味, 整體沒有預期的好吃, 但如果改善一下必會成大器的.

這款最先搶大家的眼球必定是放在薄餅上的幾片酒紅色的野豬火腿了. 再加上無花果, 黑松露等配料, 而餅底更有蕃茄加水牛芝士, 單是聽起來巳夠豐富了! 這款薄餅亦曾在2012年的香港餐飲展奪得薄餅金獎, 來頭非常猛!
入口感覺比剛才的2款薄餅比較厚身一點, 但吃起來仍算薄身, 不過那個野豬火腿柔軟有彈性得來還咸香十足, 配上底下濃郁的蕃茄醬跟芝士同吃, 層次感非常突出, 更帶出點點無花果的清香, 味道也不會過咸, 雖然宅女算是重口味人仕但也覺得三款薄餅之中這個是最有驚喜最好吃的一款.

把鵝肝跟豬肉釀進香腸內自家製出來, 心機是可見一番. 腸身十分彎曲幾乎形成一個冬甩的形狀, 再淋上醬汁造型有趣. 唯香腸吃起來有點鞋口和未夠結實, 雖然嚼起來帶點甘, 不過其實不太能吃得出有鵝肝的味道, 這款個人覺得是比較遜色的. 幸好旁邊的蘑菇粒粒肥厚, 而且底下的松露薯蓉做得幼滑又夠香濃.

看到這個主菜上來時其實個人最有期待的便是這個. 看到2片切得厚身的豬肉卷大大件的擺放著, 中間的肥脂更是滿溢, 外皮亦烤得色澤金黃, 個人感覺賣相的確是最高分的. 可惜入口外皮原來過硬更黏牙的, 不過中間的肉其實是非常軟嫩豬味又夠濃, 圍邊的肥脂更是帶著甘香豐腴的口感, 再配上這個墨西哥的SALSA VERDE蕃茄辣醬, 其實是非常惹味可口的, 只可惜那個硬皮破壞了整道菜的氣氛, 否則如果可以改善一下, 這個便是宅女全晚最滿意的主菜了.

侍應先捧上的是一大盤岩鹽, 再來是慢慢的把監刮走, 內裡開始展現出一整條的鱸魚, 而且這尾亦相當大又厚身, 內裡還是冒著點煙的! 侍應隨即便馬上的把它起骨拆肉, 起出一塊塊正白的魚肉出來.
魚肉入口非常鮮嫩滑身, 魚肉當中有少許幼骨但也是可以看起來挑出來的, 而且條數不算多, 也可以接受. 而肉質本來帶點少許監的咸香, 但不會好咸, 味道都屬幾清新. 但如果重口味朋友嫌太啖口, 沾上那個DECOCREAM黑醋汁又幾對味. 老實說個人覺得煮魚的功力一向是我們中或烹調才是最棒的, 不過這晚以這個岩鹽焗製的方法做出來, 味道亦同樣具質素, 在西式餐廳中算是水準頗高的了.

其實一碟麵量都幾大的, 天使麵堆得高高的頂端再放了一堆魚子醬, 滿有高級感的. 一向很少吃天使麵因為坊間做的大多都是一PAT PAT沒有口感之餘又乾. 這裡的居然沒有發現這些弊端, 天使麵混入牛油忌廉汁條條分明, 還加了不少海膽在內. 雖然入口不乾但吃起來汁有點少, 而且整體比較淡身. 個人預期有魚子和海膽味道應該會更為濃烈和鮮味. 但吃完覺得未如理想. 不過忌廉汁如果多一倍的話味道應該會有所好轉的.

看到名字有羊奶芝士對於我們這種重口味人仕巳覺得非常興奮, 這裡用了鮮忌廉加上羊奶芝士來做成醬汁, 拌上馬鈴薯團子同吃, 頂端還放了烤得香脆的紅菜頭. 入口忌廉很CREAMY又厚身, 更是帶著陣陣羊奶騷香, 跟馬鈴薯團子十分對味, 團子吃起來軟棉, 不過可以再煙韌一點便更好了. 因為宅女喜歡馬鈴薯團子也愛重口味, 所以特別喜愛這個麵食.

來到甜品, 餐廳另一邊放了個I-SCREAM的GELATO雪糕櫃, 內裡每天都有16-17種不同的口味選擇, 我們人多一於每款都要試勻吧!

除了有正常一點的朱古力, 檸檬, 雲尼拿, 芒果之外, 也有些特別一點的口味例如荔枝, 柚子青檸, 瑞士朱古力 (stracciatella)等等.
其中宅女比較喜歡的是冧酒提子跟焦糖, 兩款都是味道較濃厚一點的, 前者雖然有著很香的冧酒味但入口又不太覺, 吃多點都不會醉, 而後者焦糖味亦是很香但又不會過甜. 其他口味大都不錯, 食友們一致都覺得荔枝味最清香酸甜度適中, 但咖啡味就因為是用EXPRESSO做成所以味道非常濃更帶點苦, 但喜EXPRESSO的朋友應該不會抗拒吧

感謝食友跟公關小姐的邀請, 令宅女吃了一頓非常豐富又愉快的晚餐.
食物有些是可以改善的地方, 但味道都算是不錯的.
最重要的是這裡的環境氣氛都令人很有RELAX的感覺, 但又不失情調, 有時放工後約個三五知己來聚下餐, 開懷暢談一下, 都是一個不錯的好地方.

新menu,新吸引,在SOHO,總離不開「酒」。Nico's的體貼,為食客帶來了酒的最佳朋友風乾火腿和芝士!這一晚就先試了三款不同芝士Beer Cheese、Red Wine Cheese和Blue Cheese,除了我一向喜愛的Blue Cheese外,其中個人印象最為深刻的是Beer Cheese,其特別的啤酒香,不用配酒享用也已經很清楚吃得出濃郁的啤酒味,大家一定要試試。

風乾火腿也很不錯,無論parma ham或salami都油香咸香十足,和芝士和紅酒都是絕配。

說了大半天,那價錢如何呢?原來Nico's是直接由歐洲取貨,並沒中間人「外判」,所以價錢比一般各大超市都要便宜,怪不得店方說很多SOHO區居住的街坊都會來買回家享用了!

換著以前,我是很少在Nico's多吃麵包的,但今天,卻發生了例外。例外的原因,是因為公關小姐拿出了一枝特濃的意大利黑醋汁!這枝名為DECOCREAM的黑醋,甜味和酸味都比普通黑醋淳厚百倍而不過火,再加點橄欖油,是如魚得水,就是這罪魁禍首,害我忍不住多ko了一些麵包!

這裡的Caprese Salad雖然看似簡單,但卻很好吃,超鮮甜的蕃茄和水牛芝士,是新鮮兩個字的完美演繹,不吝嗇的意大利醋和橄欖油更是錦上添花,但我們卻更鍾情於DECOCREAM,配上這Caprese Salad實在很精彩!

之前Nico's的pizza雖不錯,但卻不是我杯茶。可能店方聽到了我的聲音,今次新餐牌改良很多,skinny pizza新意創意兼備,這一次是完全合口味了!

先說Smoked Salmon Skinny Pizza,skinny pizza全以人手搓皮,做得薄而香脆,而且餅皮沒加芝士,感覺更為健康清新。就像這煙三文魚pizza,咸香全由煙三文魚提供,再加上大量的沙律醬,想想也知道好吃了吧?

Calamari with Squid Ink Bases Skinny Pizza加入了墨魚汁做成薄餅餅底,漆黑的pizza,創意度真的滿分。但遺憾的是麥香實在太出色了,墨魚汁的味道都被掩蓋。魷魚雖然是在pizza焗好後才放上,但略嫌過熟失去應有的爽口,整體是及不上另外兩款pizza了。

Hog & Fig Skinny Pizza是這一晚的驚喜,以芝士、蕃茄、水牛芝士做成餅底,上面再加上無花果、黑松露、wild boar ham野豬火腿,咸甜鮮香交織,是多層次的味道交響樂,怪不得能得到Restaurant & Bar Hong Kong 2012 Gold Medal Award Pizza了,就因為這個pizza,絕對值得再來一次!

沒想到鵝肝也能用做香腸,這裡的Foie Gras & Pork Sausage是自家製的,把豬肉和鵝肝釀入腸衣做成香腸,雖然不太吃得出鵝肝的香味,但還是很特別。

另外值得一提的亮點是伴碟的黑松露薯蓉,磨得很幼滑的薯蓉帶有很香的黑松露香,也是意料之外的好吃。

Kurobuta Pork Chop雖厚但卻仍嫩口彈牙,並沒有普遍豬扒的鞋和韌,也很不錯。

要數今天最喜歡的主菜必定是Salted Crusted Sea Bass,原條鱸魚以粗海鹽焗好才拆開起骨上碟,魚肉仍然嫩滑卻滲進絲絲海鹽咸味,魚油也沒有過份流失,放在肚子作調味辟腥的檸檬香料拿握準確,另上的烤雜菜帶來一點綠,為這道菜的視覺和味覺作出最後的補完,是這晚最令人喜愛的主菜。

Prochetta Umbra把意大利豬烤得金黃,豬皮部份燒得像中國的燒肉一樣,本應十分香脆可口,但今天卻有點燒過火位,豬皮是硬非脆,硬得差點咬不開。不過豬肉部份十分不錯,肥瘦相稱,咸香美味,如果脆皮部份處理得更好,相信會更為精彩。

和Nico's的另一烤豬Porceddu,個人始終較喜歡這suckling pig,皮脆肉香,豬皮部份是完勝Prochetta Umbra的,豬肉部份也更為嫩滑,整體平衡做得更好,而且水準十分穩定,是每次來到的心水推介。

是時候來些pasta了,Nico's的pasta分為mix pasta和fresh pasta,mix pasta可選不同的意粉類,彈性較大,fresh pasta則不能選擇意粉類別,但款式會較為特別,要選那種,就要看你口味了。

Fresh pasta中的Sea Urchin & Caviar Angel Hair以海膽為主來烹調angel hair,魚子醬是最後才加上去的,賣相不錯,但味道沒想像中的濃烈,原因是因為缺了一份醬汁。

這裡的大廚希望大家品嚐到食材最原來的味道,所以意粉大多不會下太多醬汁,個人認為是有點浪費了這碟本應可以十分美味的海膽魚子醬天使麵,其實只要多加一些以海膽做成的醬汁,味道絕對會升價十倍。

雖然我一向不太喜歡Gnocchi的口感,但無可否認,這裡的Goats-Cheese Gnocchi是好吃的,goat cheese和cream做成的醬汁十分香滑,把我不喜歡的Gnocchi口感加以隱藏過去,味道真是勝過千言萬語。

Mix pasta又如何呢?Crab & Caviar Sauce Linguine和Sea Urchin & Caviar有點相似,但蟹肉多,味道更鮮美,也更為好吃。

Mix pasta中,有我十分喜歡的Classic Pesto Sauce with Penne,剛煮好的熱烘烘意粉,加點火腿,配香草和橄欖油,永遠都好吃,加上這是我一向喜歡吃的長通粉,意粉,不用花巧,也可以很簡單好吃。

甜品時間,也是尖叫時間!每一次來到Nico's,都十分期待這個時候,因為Nico's每天都有十六款I-Scream gelato在等著我!以往每次都只能夠吃一兩款,但今天朋友多,終於可以再一次一氣呵成把十六款gelato都一起吃了!

十六款gelato,十六種不同味道,水果味的,大愛荔枝和柚子!奶味的,最愛是hazelnut!多說無謂,這個時候,一班朋友搶著搶著,一起吃一起尖叫才最開心!

Caprese Salad ($118)新鮮的蕃茄配上水牛芝士,簡單的配搭但超級好吃,公關小姐還拿出一支特濃意大利香醋汁,說如果客人覺得淋在上面的香醋汁不夠,可以要求多加一些。這支濃得像蠔油的香醋汁,味道香醇,更能突出芝士的香濃,實為這碟頭盤生色不少。聽說這支香醋在deli counter那邊也有發售,吃過想帶回家的記得去買呢。

Hog & Fig ($198)。這個薄餅得到Restaurant & Bar Hong Kong 2012 Gold Medal Award Pizza,不要看它平平無奇,只放些火腿在上面,其實那些是優質的wild boar ham,配上Caramelized無花果,鹹與甜的混合是意想不到的好,而且批底夠薄,我自己吃掉一整個薄餅也沒問題。

Calamari with squid ink base ($128)。我還是第一次見到黑色的薄餅,所以大家都嘩聲四起,上面鋪著白色的魷魚圈和色彩繽紛的三色椒,賣相漂亮特別。黑色的批底是加入了墨魚汁,先送到焗爐裡焗,出爐後再加上橄欖油、煮好的魷魚和雜菜,批底同樣很脆口,不過不太吃到墨魚汁的味道,而且魷魚不夠爽,相比起另外兩個薄餅,味道較為失色。

Salted Crusted Sea Bass($298)。一整條地中海鱸魚用海鹽包著去焗,店員在我們面前把鹽層鑿開,然後慢慢的拆骨。魚肉雖然不算是超嫰滑的,但配著橄欖油和剛才的特濃香醋一起吃,味道截然不同,有海鹽的鹹香但又夾雜著香醋的甜味,是很創新的一種吃魚方法。另外伴碟的雜菜也很好吃,有青瓜、黃瓜和三色椒。

Sea urchin & caviar angel hair ($208)。海膽和魚子醬做配料的意粉,感覺很豪華,雖然魚子醬只有一小羮在上面,但己經吃到其鹹香,相反海膽的份量如果再多一些就更加好,因為butter cream sauce的味道很濃,有點蓋過了海膽的味道,搶了其風頭。

上一次來的時候好像有甜品的,不過這一次就只剩下I-Scream的意大利雪糕,一共有十六種口味,一次過可以試吃全部口味,實在很興奮。16種口味分別有荔枝、檸檬車露、冧酒提子、士多啤梨、開心果、雲呢拿、士多啤梨、曲奇忌廉、柚子、特濃咖啡、金莎、榛子等等,其他的都記不起來了,最喜歡吃荔枝口味,裡面有粒粒荔枝果肉,味道很清新。

雖然轉換了全新的餐單,但仍然能保持水準,全晚最喜歡吃的是那個獲獎的薄餅,人們都總喜歡點些穩陣的口味,所以都愛一窩蜂點煙三文魚薄餅,當然煙三文魚薄餅好吃,但我覺得如果你吃過一次hog & fig之後,往後你再來也會再點的啊。

吃過麵包後,是一系列來自Nico’s Deli的Antipasti Platter,Antipasti就是"before the meal"的意思
每款Platter包括三款cold cut及兩款芝士
是晚試了多款,cold cut仍特別鐘情Salami,帶點油脂,味道甘香
芝士便令我們着迷,Red Wine Cheese帶着淡淡的酒香,味道不過濃
相反,切成方粒的Beer Cheese就來得刺激,每口都充滿着剛勁的啤酒香,感覺十分特別,大家一定要試

接着是賣相精緻的Capress Salad
簡單的一道沙律以蕃茄配以buffalo mozzarella
芝士味道濃郁芳香,口感軟綿又帶一點咬口
與酸酸甜甜的蕃茄一拼吃,味道清怡,既健康又開胃

來意大利餐廳,又怎少得薄餅
架架妹愛吃薄餅,尤其是真正的「薄」餅

這裡的薄餅全由人手親自搓製餅皮,熱辣辣的吃,同樣薄身脆口,兼帶豐富麵粉香氣
兩者之中最愛是三文魚,魚肉入口嫩滑,帶着魚油香味

另一款Calamari with Squid Ink Base,來到時大家已嘩聲四起,是少見到的黑色薄餅!
意大利文 calamari 就是指墨魚
上面放上了火箭菜,黃椒,紅椒以及主角墨魚圈
黑色的餅底是用墨魚汁調配,墨汁的味道若再加強一點便更好
墨魚雖然新鮮,但吃落未夠爽口彈牙
味道上可能不是最好的一款,但實在非常搶眼,夠綽頭!

這薄餅就剛獲得Restaurant & Bar Hong Kong 2012 Gold Medal Award
薄餅餅底做得香脆,面層是鮮紅的野豬火腿
火腿切片厚薄適中,吃落口感煙韌又富鹹香,與脆餅一齊起,口感層次實在豐富
大家都覺得,能夠奪奬是實至名歸

Prochetta Umbra - roasted Italian Pork Roll烤豬肉賣相討好,豬肉煙韌,帶着木香
肉與脂肪比例也挺均勻,肉實在值得一讚

這款Salt Crusted Sea Bass亦是這裡的名物
來自西西里的名菜,用上海鹽焗製原條海鱸魚
送上時只見到一大堆淺黃色的海鹽將原條的海鱸裹着
侍者細心地將海鱸取出,然後起骨拆肉,隨即散發出陣陣海魚的濃厚鮮香
魚肉質地亦十分鮮嫩豐腴,帶有清淡的咸香,夾雜着魚油,口感味道俱佳

在menu內好幾款pasta中,海膽與魚子醬這個誘人的配搭是架架妹最想吃的一款
天使麵先用蒜蓉炒香,夾雜了海膽及粒粒晶瑩剔透的魚子醬
魚子醬味道芬香濃郁,相比下海膽有點失色,似乎是無可避免
天使麵炒得剛好,十分香口惹味,也滲着陣陣魚子醬的芳香,是整晚亮點之一

新menu內亦增加了幾款pasta,更是自由配搭的
客人可依自己口味而配搭出適合自己的意粉,是晚就併出這碟Spaghetti with Crab & Carviar Sauce
用蟹做的菜色無論中式或西式也有一定的吸引力
選用新鮮的藍蟹拆肉,再配以魚子醬
絲絲的蟹肉鮮味香口,最值一讚是炒得十分均勻,每條意粉也沾有蟹絲
無疑是乾身了一點,心想,若再加一點汁作伴,更美

另一款是Penne with Classic Pesto Sauce
喜歡吃較濃味的朋友不妨一試這Pesto醬
Pesto醬用上紫蘇,蒜頭等製成,味道香濃
配上口感煙韌有嚼勁的長通粉又十分匹配
簡簡單單便是美~

最後又怎能少得女士們十分期待的甜品環節呢?

人多好辦事,就每款一杯,試盡各口味
一行八人就這裡分享了十七球雪糕,毫無難度!
面前色彩繽紛的gelato,真令人難以抗拒
即使我們舉起相機把雪糕拍了好一會,大部份仍然保持凝固不易溶化
眾多口味中,我倆較喜歡檸檬車露,榛子及荔枝
餐廳會定期更換口味,更有些是I-Scream特別為Nico’s特別設計的,大家不可錯過!

這裡不只雪糕,也不只Spuntino
更多的,有待大家親身來發掘唷!
