鐵板燒要了清酒雜菌和鵝肝,雜菌被我和媽媽迅速瓜分,酒味香濃,我倆連汁都撈埋。鵝肝放在烘到極脆的多士上,男友和爸媽都十分喜歡,我試了一口,油花四濺,鵝味欠奉,個人還是prefer法式pate。

另叫了要45分鐘才上枱的牛乳海鮮鍋,份量驚人,有大量魚扒、蝦、帶子、黃芽白、芋絲和白果。白身魚扒非常嫰滑,連不吃魚的我都爭着吃。蝦極彈牙,帶子鮮但略嫌薄身。我和爸覺得最正係啲白果,爽口得嚟帶些小甘苦。美中不足是個牛乳湯底太淡,奶味和魚鮮味都欠奉,之不過咁大煲嘢只收$380,個人認為超值!順帶一堤不要點蕃薯雪糕,味道很假,芝麻雪糕反而唔錯,食得過。

OEDO是我近年來吃過較impressive和物有所值的日本料理,埋單雖然無咭做折,但卻有$300元的coupon回贈,變相85折,值得推介!

This is one of the better japanese restaurants that I have been to in HK, almost comparable to Shakujii.Usually I go there for their sushi and sashimi, which is Top Quality, this time I decided to try their teppanyaki... ng... I think Matsubishi in Wanchai is better at this tho... but for fish, I would definitely recommend this place.

This is one of the better japanese restaurants that I have been to in HK, almost comparable to Shakujii.

As a big fan of Oedo, I feel it is necessary to comment on Scout's review too. Sashimi is not supposed to be served very cold, as Scout described. certainly it shouldn't be warm like rice, but not cold either. Sashimi is supposed to be kept at 4 degrees celsius but while it's being prepared, it will be exposed to room temperature and the chef's hands so it will become slightly warmer - not cold. From all the times I've been to Oedo, the temperature of their sashimi is sushi has always been perfect, it has never been 'warm'.

Also, I agree with Samantha that Oedo's waitresses provide very good service. I assume that Scout was sitting in the private room because of the way he said he had to ask the waitresses to come in. The waitresses who manage the private rooms are especially polite and thoughtful, they only look after the three private rooms and not the main area outside so there really is no way that that waitress was so busy that you were without appetizers and tea for half an hour
Because as Samantha said, customarily in Oedo, every single client is served with green tea and free appetizers for dinner when they arrive at the restaurant - even before they order their food.

I want to make a comment on what scout said too. It cant be true that you were at oedo without tea and food for 30 minutes! When you go for the dinner, the first thing they do is serve you several free appetizers and green tea - always. You went on New Year's Day this year, that wouldve been a real busy day. I went on Christmas day (another very busy day) and I was still served with food and drinks promptly. I think you're probably exaggerating, you shouldn't mislead people!!! I've included a pi

Maybe you don't eat much japanese food in america so you don't know really how to appreciate it. Oedo is respected by many other top japanese restaurants in HK for their food, especially sushi and sashimi so there is no way that the sashimi would be warm haha. My Japanese business partners that I take there also love Oedo, they say it's just as good as the great restaurants in Japan.

I am a regular at Oedo Restaurant. I was quite surprised by the recent comment made by Scout and I feel the need to comment on what he has said. Scout said that he went to Oedo at night and I presume he was eating in a VIP guest room that night as he said that he asked the waitress 'to come in'. Moreover, I've been there so many times, there has never been a single time where I was without tea because they bring you the tea customarily before you even start ordering your food - just after you've sat down at the table. So I found what Scout said really hard to believe.

Also, I eat sashimi and sushi there every time and they have never been 'warm' as Scout claimed. Maybe Scout expected the sashimi to be 'cold'. Sashimi is actually supposed to be kept at 4 degrees celsius. When the sashimi is being prepared and taken out of the fridge, you can expect it to be a bit warmer than that by the time you eat it. If you order a small portion of sushi it will be served not on top of a bowl with ice, but on a japanese dish - often sashimi servved like that in any restaurant is not supposed to be cold. If you think about it, if you don't have sashimi served on ice at a restaurant have you ever eaten a really cold piece of sashimi? I haven't and I've eaten sashimi for years and years
!! However, if you do order a large amount of sushi, Oedo oftens puts those sashimi on ice and you can expect those pieces of sashimi to be cold.

I went there last week with my girlfriend and her family. That was the 4th time I\'ve been there, the food was beautifully prepared. And one of the best dishes that we had was the ox tongue and house sushi. I appreciate the thoughtful service (eg. the waitress asked if my girlfriend\'s little sister if her green tea was too hot for her, thus, put in a few ice cubes in the tea for her). I went there last week with my girlfriend and her family.
That was the 4th time I\'ve been there, the food was beautifully prepared. And one of the best dishes that we had was the ox tongue and house sushi. ! It is so rich and smooth, you would be deprived if you had never tried it before!
Also, I have heard that this japanese restaurant is one of the top ones with their sushi! They're most famous for their special sushi and sashimi! So try - worth it!

I am a regular at Oedo Restaurant and I've tried almost everything. You really ought to try more a la carte, because even though the dishes listed in the menu are fantastic, you should ask the waitresses to recommend you some special new dishes, or to sit at the sushi bar and ask a chef to serve you his specialties (as they are not all listed on the menu.) Having said that, Oedo is definitely one of the best Japanese Restaurants in Hong Kong - comparable to the standard in top restaurants in Japan.

One more thing, I've tried all the dishes that was listed in the first review about this restaurant - what he said was not true at all especially the comments about the food being salty. Don't let that put you off because everybody has different tastes and most people don't find the food there salty at all. I strongly recommend the writer of that first review to go to Oedo again and give it another try, or else you are missing out!

I have been to this restaurant quite a few times. It was highly recommended from my friend, King Lee. He mentioned this place has the best sashimi compared to all other Japanese restaurants in HK. -chopped toro with uni sushi (shapes like a ball)
-chopped eel sushi (1 of their famous dishes)
-grilled scallop wrapped with seaweed (very crispy seaweed)

I don't eat beef but all my friends love this:

-Slightly grilled raw beef wrapped outside a tempura roll.
