Fillet is average and lasagna tasted good and full of cheese.

It's not full during lunch time. There are only few tables here. Environment is good with Italian songs and it's comfortable to have a peaceful lunch.

But we dropped by today and we're delighted to find them back. Their lunch "appetizers buffet" was not offered, but we think that's a good thing, as there seemed to be too much waste before.  Now the set lunch comes with soup, appetizer, and main, plus coffee or tea with fresh apple for desert For a very reasonable price.  Wine by the glass is also quite reasonable and quality is far above most wines-by-the-glass. The soup came in a type of pickling jar dish, and was a delicious, rich mushroom with froth.  The appetizer of prosciutto and cantaloupe was more than generous, fresh and sweet.  I had, for the first time, a pizza. I usually order a pasta dish because theirs is fresh and perfectly al dente, and they are one of the few HK restaurants that know how to make honest-to-goodness Italian dishes. My pizza was truly one of the best I've ever had: fontina, asparagus, and truffle on a perfectly thin, crisp crust.  It was twice as big as I could eat and so took half of it home. It was almost as good tonight for dinner...  :-) My husband had lamb chops with tomatoes, potatoes and squash, and it was also without flaw.  We do really love this restaurant, especially for lunch on weekends, and the staff is attentive but not hovering. Atmosphere is clean, modern and pleasant. For those who want a drink afterward, while people watching, Perbacco also has a lovely front terrace.
Other Info. : Excellent service. Relaxed atmosphere. DELICIOUS PASTA!

There was a special Christmas menu on the first day we went, stopping by on a whim. We ordered: Chestnut and Italian Sausage soup, and Mixed Grilled Meats from that special menu, both AMAZINGLY good. There was a special Christmas menu on the first day we went, stopping by on a whim. We ordered: Chestnut and Italian Sausage soup, and Mixed Grilled Meats from that special menu, both AMAZINGLY good. Though not available usually, it shows the skill of the chef.

Each generous helping of meat (which included lamb, beef, chicken) was perfectly cooked and flavored, with nice little vegetable sides nicely presented on a slate slab. I haven't had such good tasting meat in a long time. So much for my thoughts of becoming a vegetarian.

The Chestnut soup was also delicious - thick, slightly sweet, with bits of sausage to add a touch of chewy texture - great on a cold day.

We also had the Spicy Pizza - also great! Not too spicy, but enough to give it a bite, topped with pepperoni.

The tiramisu, a dessert that in my opinion has been destroyed by its own popularity, was enthusiastically recommended to me by the host that evening, so I overcame my reluctance and tried it. Was I glad I did! NOT the usual tiramisu, with gelato at the bottom and some crunchy bits of amaretto inside the fresh creamy parts, it was delicious!

In short, everything was cooked beautifully, much more than we expected in this casual-looking cafe setting.

The place was rather empty, but we were there early and it was the holiday week when expats are mostly out of town. Nevertheless, made me worry that this gem will not last.

Hankering for the pizza, we went back on 2nd of January, a Monday. It wasn't quite as good; I'm guessing it was the chef's day off.

We recently acquainted ourselves with the owner, an Italian guy who used to work in IT, but now has several restaurants in Thailand and has started this venture in HK, aiming to deliver good honest and mama-style traditional dishes (no vegetarian spaghetti bolognaise, as he once received as a request from a tourist in Koh Samui). The chef came from Domani, so we had high expectations of the food, but we were pleasantly surprised that despite the modern decor and open-front patio-like layout, the food could have been found in any rustic trattoria in Italy, but much more beautifully presented on textured slates and modern dishes.

Since it's a new restaurant, they don't have a liquor license yet, so the owner brought us down to a wine shop a short hop away which is owned by his Italian mate, and we bought a bottle of red that turned out to be good bang for the buck. We later spotted the owner at the head of the long table at the restaurant with his whole family gathered around him, all three genereations in tow, and it just feels so... Italian. It also goes to show that owners here help each other out and bring business to each other, which is what keeps the wheels of economy in motion.

We wanted EVERYTHING on the menu, but that was clearly not possible for the two of us, so we had to make some harsh decisions on what to cut out. We were left with deep fried zucchini flowers (delightfully light batter, with a creamy sauce to dip into), the frittura of fresh prawns, calamari, zucchini and onion rings (same sauce, couldn't get enough of it).

We moved onto the Hokkaido salad with juicy tender hunks of scallop resting on a bed of spinach and accompanied by some fresh bread.

The meatballs were lightly rolled in breadcrumbs and fried which gave it a crunchy outer and a juicy inner, perfectly tied together by the deliciously light and tangy tomato sauce.

For mains we were directed towards the Milanese - a big hunk of battered and fluffed up veal that maintained the right amount of fat which was balanced by the fresh tomatoes and arugula on top.

We couldn't resist the owner's recommendation of the pistachio gelato with canelloni, which was everything he promised.

The name of this restaurant already told you this is Italian restaurant: "Italian All Day Dinning" . The front door is partially open air with stylish furniture, likely to be relaxing theme.

But the interior is black & white with semi-open kitchen, belongs to cool & stylish. Is it going to be fusion cuisine?

The salad was buffet type. Although the choice was not too many but good enough. You won't see any dry yellow withered vegetable.

The service was good probably the boss was serving us (at the end of the day, this is a new restaurant, the boss has to be around)

The veggie lasagna was really fresh & not oily. Although the cheeses was not so much but it was taste good.

Although the interior didn't totally match the food style, but it was a nice experience. Give them a chance.
Other Info. : The water filter was not ready on the day we visited, so no water served. I think they can free the distilled water for us!
