星期五,到水準稍高的中環餐廳吃午飯都需要訂位,何況是自助餐。這裡是其中寥寥可數的例外。這天和同事Stephy,Teresa和Leonard吃午飯,由於忘記訂位,於是一行人便walk-in到這裡吃飯。我們要了HK$128連一杯飲品的自助餐。這裡雖然便宜,但已包括沙津,冷熱盤和主菜。沙津吧的有不同的生菜醬汁任你組合,各款生菜新鮮爽口,醬汁亦開胃惹味。冷熱盤相對一般,個人比較喜歡的是薯仔沙津,吃了整整一大碟。今天的主菜是烤牛肉,我要了偏生的部分。由於牛肉有足夠的脂肪,入口時有一陣陣的牛脂味。「新年快樂!」「身體健康,步步高陞!」「BB快高長大!」「利利是是!」「下年唔洗派俾你。」大家邊吃邊說,邊說邊笑,過了一個開心的中午。

難得可以放長LUNCH,去左中環碼頭既PIER 7食自助餐。因為腳長,所以IFC行過去唔洗5分鐘。去到十二點三,得兩三枱人,放低百零蚊就可以食了,包杯野飲。雖然唔係貴價野,但係基本既食物都有,有沙津吧,有意粉,有茄仔,有蕃茄,有菇,有腸仔,有三文魚,有扒,有蝦片,有枱,有櫈,仲有一個大露台,所以可以係陽光下享用薯仔(其實仲有薯仔同埋其他好多唔同食物)。選擇唔算多,但絕對對得住這價錢,質素亦唔錯,以下逐一介紹:沙津吧:多菜,多配料,多DRESSING,有幾種包。啲材料幾新鮮,啲菜係洗過的,清甜菜味無農藥,有時係中環六七十蚊買個沙津都會有陣農藥味,所以十分難得意粉、南瓜:意粉彈牙有口感,茄汁頗新鮮,不過焗住最後會冧,係未冧左之前要食多啲,南瓜軟硬適中,亦可抗癌,多食無妨茄仔、蕃茄:車厘蕃茄有醋,可以伴沙津食,茄仔亦有香草味,惟稍為多橄欖油三文魚:香草入味,唔太油,不過熟但亦不算嫩滑羊扒:唔會太羶,約八成熟,不過切得稍薄,記得叫厚切!連燒汁上,不太稀飲品:凍檸荼,新鮮檸檬加上淡淡茶香,很出色!糖水分開上,甜度可自行調整食左三個回合,應該有千三卡路里,45%碳水,40%甫田,15%肥膏。P.S

選擇唔算多,但絕對對得住這價錢,質素亦唔錯,以下逐一介紹:

沙津吧:多菜,多配料,多DRESSING,有幾種包。啲材料幾新鮮,啲菜係洗過的,清甜菜味無農藥,有時係中環六七十蚊買個沙津都會有陣農藥味,所以十分難得
意粉、南瓜:意粉彈牙有口感,茄汁頗新鮮,不過焗住最後會冧,係未冧左之前要食多啲,南瓜軟硬適中,亦可抗癌,多食無妨
茄仔、蕃茄:車厘蕃茄有醋,可以伴沙津食,茄仔亦有香草味,惟稍為多橄欖油
三文魚:香草入味,唔太油,不過熟但亦不算嫩滑
羊扒:唔會太羶,約八成熟,不過切得稍薄,記得叫厚切!連燒汁上,不太稀
飲品:凍檸荼,新鮮檸檬加上淡淡茶香,很出色!糖水分開上,甜度可自行調整

食左三個回合,應該有千三卡路里,45%碳水,40%甫田,15%肥膏。

P.S. 個露台其實唔係PIER 7的,放工可以自己買酒上去飲/劈的。

Happy Friday打算食豪D,行過來碼頭睇下有咩好食。無意中見到呢間Pier 7 cafe and Bar, 就試下佢個lunch buffet. 佢主要以木材做裝修,有露天位,不過天陰陰就冇人坐出去。環境好好,坐得舒服,如果唔係lunch hour得1個鐘,我會係個度慢慢享受。HKD128只有1杯凍檸茶,食物種類唔算多,蔬菜多,少肉,要飲湯就另外加10蚊,真係要問句點解既,其實佢個湯只不係普通粟米湯。食物分別列係2邊,右邊主要係沙律同包類,生菜好鮮甜,有煙肉、車厘茄等做配料,但醬就酸左D。面包我冇食到,但同事話OK,個蝦片好食,所以擰左好多。左邊係熟食蔬菜,最好食係燜蘑菇,同薯仔,豆角同南瓜都好淡,其實食左唔係好多。全埸唯一肉類係燒雞,隻雞幾嫩滑,因為有D未熟,所以都食左少少唔係好敢食。而佢杯凍檸茶係唔錯的,好新鮮的檸檬味。總體來講呢間係食個環境,係中環128算係咁,但唔係好抵食。

全埸唯一肉類係燒雞,隻雞幾嫩滑,因為有D未熟,所以都食左少少唔係好敢食。而佢杯凍檸茶係唔錯的,好新鮮的檸檬味。

N年前一個下午。 友人M帶我黎呢到食左個風雨中的lunch。其後周不時都黎呢到食下。午餐自助餐由唔過百食到最平百二。見證住通貨膨脹。星期二黎最開心因為係燒西冷 。肉質腍滑中帶筋位置有咬口。肉汁香甜。燒汁香濃(原來當年係好watery)。前後食左四轉八塊手掌般大先夠喉。(嗯。。。我仲係食肉獸)唔好以為只係食肉獸先會滿足到。因為佢既沙律吧絕對不容錯過。羅馬生菜新鮮爽甜。流量快refill亦快。冇一塊菜係生銹同風乾左。車厘茄用陳醋撈過。越食越開胃。南瓜同茄子火路剛好。唔會硬亦唔會一pat pat。調味亦對口味。係海港城返工坐船過黎食。船程可以放空腦袋。食個lunch打滿個胃。返到去又再埋頭苦幹。

先付款後取食物,再憑收據到水吧拿一杯飲料,都是茶啡檸茶,特別是由大隻型男親手沖配,Wooow份外養眼,哈哈。
見大家飲凍檸檬茶居多,除了天口熱之外,原來味道很好,先天要素紅茶香檸檬鮮之外,他下的冰塊好似計算過的,待溶掉後將糖水味道稀釋,甜度即時轉為剛好,冰涼又解渴呀~

炸薯仔質感好滑,入口有忌廉的香味,忍不住吃了很多;蝴蝶粉用了甜甜的汁炒過,另加了不少一粒粒黑色的香料,並不是黑椒,但十分香的,的確份外吸引,而蝴蝶粉保持好有咬口,一點都不淋糊。

炒雜菌有酒樓出品的風味,相信落的不是牛油,因為毫不油膩,越吃越嚐得出雜菌的清甜,所以我都添了數次;最後的主菜非常好吃,過往在外吃的燒豬肋骨,也是用燒烤汁的,食食下都會覺得好濟,不過這裡是很特別下用鮮蕃茄蓉和茄汁去弄,
豬肋骨的肉非常香嫩,幼滑,牙齒不需和它火併﹗而甜甜酸酸的汁醬直灌每排肉條之中,除了可減底豬肉的油膩外,還增加開胃的感覺,我最後吃罷四條才肯停...

服務生只有兩位,主要處理食物的添加方面,所以在繁忙時間是沒人收碟,大家一是玩住"層層疊",一是拿手上完餐的碟子再出去拿食物嚕。另外在水吧有幾支開水供食客自己斟,以這個價錢,也不能要求有什麼服務了。


得知樓下那一層Watermark也有自助餐吃,但價錢不是我這等小市民可負擔
,現在以三份一也不到的價錢,但又可以身處同一地點吃飯,猛車邊的享受,是另一種享受。

十二月三十一日 (星期五)約了同事在二零一零年的最後一日吃過西式團年飯給新來的高經知到,佷客氣的宴請我們選址Pier 7,聽聞這裡的自助午餐質素不錯那裡環境確實不錯,面向海,不過是日較大風和凍,我們也沒有出去的打算食物方面,不是有太多的選擇普通的有意粉,薯仔沙律,較特別的則有蝦片食物貴精不貴多,尤其以牛扒和火雞最好味我們特別指定要雞脾肉,肉質鮮嫩,皮脆鬆化甜品也是自助的,一絲不苛,做得很精細最後當然要多謝是日午餐的老闆Melvin!!!老公仔是晚會參加毅力十二愛心跑,由2010跔到2011...加油!!!

環境算是不俗, 但食物方面只屬"普通貨色", 除了選擇不多之外(大部份都是沙律、長通粉之類的輕食類食物), 味道亦不見得出色。不過, 地區(中環)來講, 實在不算貴, 真的不能太有要求吧?!

Fellow Openricers have their comments on this layback restaurant on Pier 7. Thanks to ignoring blocks of concrete, you can't actually view the harbour in this airy, fresh restaurant. What it lacks a sea view, it more than compensates your disappointment by giving you an open skyline of the Hong Kong island.
Here you can try flicker light to your fellow office colleagues who would occasionally look out of the window. You can bathe in the sun on the open terrace outside the restaurant, which, according to some self-proclaimed "ingenious" town planners, is a "public area" enjoying a right of way through the restaurant.
Pier 7 is bestowed with a nice environ which is matched by its spacious and simplistic interior. The high ceiling and tall windows let the space suffuse with an air of comfort and strangely, tranquility.
Now on food. It serves daily lunch buffet. The turn for my visit was lamb carving. I have to say the lamb is of good quality, but still a distance from being great. There is a salad bar with limited choices, but thinking laterally you should thank you are not bemused and it is good for any weight watchers. The veggie is fresh.
Waiters are ok. In fact only minimal service was tendered.
Overall, a good place to sip a cup of coffee and to reduce your waistline.

Directions
Walk straight from the bridge (connecting IFC and Pier7 to TST). Just keep walking. Don't turn left or right or walk down. There's a flight of stairs on the far end of the walkway, leading upwards. Go up and you'll find Pier7. It's not that difficult to find. You'll be ok. If nothing works call them. A rather bored-sounding man will pick up the phone. Either that or a rather short-tempered woman.

How it works:
For those who haven't visited Pier 7 before...
It's basically a self-serving cafe. First you purchase your meal at the till.
(a) Salad bar+dessert/soup
(b) Mains (from carvery or fish)
(c) Coffee/Tea (iced lemon tea)

2-course: $98. 3-course: $128 (no +10%)

You then grab a plate and get unlimited refills from the salad bar. They have hot stuff, cold stuff, bread rolls (which tasted rather stale). You have to pour yourself a cup of water from the self-serving water bar. Nope, they don't take care of you. The mains you get from the salad bar too. Upon payment you'll get a loyalty card: 5 lunches buys you one free lunch! Excellent deal, man.
After the main course you grab a dessert. You have to present your receipt. And then you ask the waiter at the water bar for your drinks. They won't make sure you get the drink. No staff are around to take orders . They'll just come around to collect plates once in a while. "

Food:

Salad bar: Pretty satisfactory. Do not expect anything fancy. But the coleslaw was pretty good. And also the curry-pea-and-cauliflower salad. Cucumber yucky. Pan-fried noodles alright. Not spectacular.
2.
Teriyaki salmon: pretty good marinate, but the fish itself wasn't very fresh....>< which was slightly disappointing considering the fact that Pier7 is by the sea. You'd kind of expect the catch to be as fresh as....catch of the day directly from the sea ^^ Am i wrong to expect that?
3.
Dessert: mousse of some sort: it was so plain. and too sweet. I didn't like it.

Environment:
Dining area quite crowded. I think lots of people visit Pier7, because of the relaxing atmosphere. We sit elbow-to-elbow with the stranger on your left and right, but that's alright, coz the ceiling is very high. And you get to look out of the windows. There's also an outdoor area. Indoor area has a high-chair area like a bar table, and also normal seating.

Conclusion:
Would go there again, on non-lamb days. Quite enjoyable really.

N and I forgot to order drinks. But that's alright. Both of us were pretty full already after dessert.

室內的座位有一整排都很高很高~短手短腿的小比每次上落都有點麻煩~~~呵~~~可惜只剩下這些位~~~接下來要先攻陷一下熱盤的區域~熱盤兩個選擇~有最簡單的蒜蓉西蘭花椰菜花~這個當然最得小比歡心~但不以偏心的角度來說~這個蒸炒過的青菜是真的出色~連對座的食肉獸都取了多回~但另一熱盤的茄味penne就達到地獄級數~我倆吃了一口之後對望~就放下了~得出的結論是意粉醬與penne在上桌前的相處時間應該是零~它們是新相識的~~再者penne絕對是over-cooked得有點蓉了~可怕可怕~是日的carvery為roasted striploin~這個牛背的位置雖然纖維會較為粗~但素來都帶有軟筋~是討好的一個牛背位~這裡也燒到medium的左右~~要了薄薄的一片小試~當然加了很多薯條和gravy~可惜這裡的gravy稀得像湯水~沒有應有的稠度去掛在薯條和牛片上~反倒是浸得淋淋的~還是乖乖去吃西蘭花好了~~而食肉獸就繼續來來回回吃了人家好幾片striploin~還每次都叫人家thicker thicker~haha~蝕本了蝕本了~

連取飲品也要你保留單據自行到吧檯取~簡單要了個熱檸水消化一下~友人的咖啡則是在後方的pacific coffe機裡流出來~看得友人滴了汗~當然pac記coffee不會差~但這樣也未免太懶了吧?haha~吃得七七八八~~見員工也可以出來沙律吧和carvery吃個late lunch了~~這個lunch buffet確是小而精~會再來~~但替餐廳煩的是~~在一個充滿公眾地方的區域劃成餐廳~~真的做成很多不便~~很多遊客都會路過~
