之前見朋友响 Facebook 介紹這間於赤柱嘅麵包蛋糕店,佢不單麵包蛋糕店出店,連店內嘅店員都係俊男雲集。一直好想入去品嚐觀望一番,但赤柱對我嚟講不近也不遠,唔係時時會去嘅地方。呢日就心血來潮,好想入去赤柱閒逛一番,順道去試下這間嘅麵包蛋糕。入到店內已經係人頭湧湧,店內嘅裝修比人嘅感覺真的有如置身於山洞一樣。店內嘅店內都可以話係俊男美女,而且每一個都面帶笑容,這些已經可以為佢哋美食加分。這裡除咗麵包蛋糕外,仲有 salad, yogurt, crepes 等等比大家選擇今次我就只係簡單咁 order 咗一件 mango cake 同一杯 coffee,因為接近聖誕嘅關係,佢哋嘅蛋糕都加咗少少聖誕嘅裝飾。蛋糕鬆軟唔太甜,如果芒果可以濃少少就更好喇!咖啡就真的好一般,沒太大特色,咖啡味亦不夠香濃。以我這些愛好咖啡者嚟講,可以話有少少失望。

今次我就只係簡單咁 order 咗一件 mango cake 同一杯 coffee,因為接近聖誕嘅關係,佢哋嘅蛋糕都加咗少少聖誕嘅裝飾。蛋糕鬆軟唔太甜,如果芒果可以濃少少就更好喇!咖啡就真的好一般,沒太大特色,咖啡味亦不夠香濃。以我這些愛好咖啡者嚟講,可以話有少少失望。

Actually, you can cook pretty impressive danish pastries at home, so long as you apply just a little patience and care when making the dough. But to their Danish, their appearance can tell how it makes them from ordinary to good right here. Various types of Danish makes you fell fullfil. Blueberries Danish is so cripy with strong butter flavour. 

Of course, a cup of coffee is the sincere follower of pastries.

今日到赤柱Stanley cave 本想試下chocolate croissants 但賣完所以選擇了甜品櫃內的糕餅。Raspberry dome 外層有點似朱古力但囗感是啫喱入面raspberry mousse 中心有軟心朱古力及蛋糕,酸中帶甜,好味Creambrulee 面層即焼的焦糖真的很脆,內裏的蛋真的入口即溶而且真的很滑!本人極力堆介!芒果餅入面有芒果蓉,芒果味足夠Chocolate 含64%朱古力,愛朱古力人仕必試。朋友之後買Croissants,試了一口, 外脆而且真的有很多層。下次一定要試其他產品

星期六下午去赤柱逛吓outlet行吓沙灘非常舒服,不知不覺去到黃昏正準備返歸但離遠見到有間新店所以行去睇睇。店外設計特別檣身好似西方古老建築物而店名叫Stanley Cave,好有趣喎。其實餐廳係地庫,大門沿樓梯落,好似入山洞咁。餐廳入面裝修很有格調,光線和擺設都很舒服和時尚。Open kitchen 入面清楚見倒師父一舉一動,他們有男有女大家都穿著得整齊醒神,而且十分年輕。廚房長型可以邊睇邊揀邊叫食特,最後到cashier找數再搵個位置用餐。主要提供各類麵包、酥餅、蛋糕、Pasta 和即製crepe。賣相吸引,為食嘅我又點會睇完就算喎,一於晚晚前嚟個 late tea time 先。Pear Danish 個酥皮好鬆化同清甜嘅啤梨match,唔會太多糖漿喺面。另加一份 Chocolate Strawberry Crepe, 即製熱辣辣好好味。位於遊客區價格合理,以後去赤柱又多個地方落腳飲吓咖啡食件餅。

芝士蛋糕上頂著五粒圓大飽滿的藍莓,藍莓特別甜美,蛋糕的質感細滑濃厚,芝士味亦很突出。不過糕身不像一般的挺實,吃起來比較順滑,但餅底沒有焦糖慕絲的出色,是較失色的部份。

這兒的蛋糕劃一定價為三十六元,但最摸不著頭腦的是所有糕點都是以紙碟奉上。這樣不但不環保,外觀上也難免有點失色。不過蛋糕的水準令人滿意,而且店子的酥點和三文治都十分吸引,相信再來赤柱的時候 Stanley Cave 也是不二之選。

雖然小妹喜歡吃Danish,但我很少主動買來吃的,感覺上太肥膩太不健康,但一場來到,而且媽媽超想吃,所以最後是她抵愛不住誘惑,而不是我呢。
Strawberry Danish ($18)的外貌不算十分精緻討好,但亦算不俗;酥皮非常鬆脆,酥得有點硬,個人覺得不夠軟稔,欠了些煙韌的口感;而且表面略嫌有點燶得過火,所以有些苦味;當中的吉士不錯,幼滑之餘又不太甜;而那兩粒士多啤梨則非常不錯,十分鮮甜,整體感覺算是不錯吧。

精緻既西式麵包及蛋糕等與咖啡總有稱不離陀既關係, 所以使我對咖啡也有點期望, 但也失望!!
 capuccino泡沫不算濃厚細密, 味道少許苦澀但缺咖啡香味! 可以不試!

店內有多款法式長麵包, 牛角包(原味,朱古力味及杏仁味等)及丹麥酥(士多啤梨, 桃, 藍莓吉士醬), 樣子精緻新鮮, 除了我們揀的梨味丹麥酥外,其他未有相片! 原味牛角包 hk$13, 其他款式價錢則HK$18或以上! 價錢較SIMPLYLIFE及銅鑼灣hysan底層既urban bakery等貴,質素當然這裡勝一籌!

心大心細下揀了pear danish!
非常出色! 酥皮醎中帶甜鬆脆內軟. 梨子甜度適中, 微溫宜入口!

Other Info. : 這裡沒有海景, 較外面地面既歺廳隱敝, 但仍有吸引到不少外國人消費, 我想主因是麵包質素真的不錯,及有YOGURT供應, 適合大人及小朋友!

Stanley always came across as a rather dull dining spot, with a row of generic seafront bars and a few chain restaurants in Murray House. However, the arrival of the Cave got us excited, promising good quality fresh baked bread, fresh salads, sandwiches and delectable French pastries too. We trotted over for a light brunch over the weekend, and as usual the place was filling out quickly even before noon.

We went for a fusilli salad, another one with a mix of beetroot/orange and Greek feta salad, then 2 sandwiches (Italian Stallion and the Pastrami), a juice and a cappucino, and finally 2 frozen yoghurts with toppings of your choice.

The portions weren't big, the salad boxes about 15x10x4cm, and the sandwiches about 5" long. The ingredients were fresh and the bread was particularly nice, however the amount of filling was slightly disappointing, with only a few leaves of salad and a couple slices of pastrami trying to fill the baguette. The waitress serving us was distanced and cool without being impolite, but seemed less than enthusiastic when I asked if the sandwiches can be reheated.

The coffee was TERRIBLE. I've never had such a watered-down and bland cappucino, which didn't have any froth and barely tasted of coffee. It was too much hassle to return it as the queue was building and the staff were swamped. The froyo was a little too sweet for me, though the portion was a little more generous this time. Perhaps I should have gone for one of the many delicious cakes and pastries beckoning me instead, which was much better value.

That came to well over $350 for a lunch. Not the cheapest, but it's a good place to hang out and the food is reasonable.

外型賣相倒也十分吸引,入口的bagel比一般傳統有咬口的折然不同
取而代之的是口感軟為細綿之質感,內餡則塗上白滑的芝士醬、夾上薄薄之煙三文魚

估計不是剛出爐, 遂要求代為翻熱, 皮顯得鬆厚, 烘後更感酥脆, 呈均勻的焦黃色, 散佈陣陣的牛油香, 咸味不會過重, 混雜頗多的朱古力粒, 半溶的狀態下, 幼滑近乎醬, 但仍保持些微的咬感。 內層的組織偏濕腍, 很易扁塌下去, 還是喜歡酥皮交錯, 層層相間的動人效果。

密友對提子、莓類非常抗拒, scone($15)只好交由我們三人應付。 面頭抹過少量的蛋漿, 令令的富光澤。個子一點也不小, 滿厚身的, 發泡的程度算是理想, 不太乾, 但就是欠點鬆化, 質感未免太鬆散, 軟如蛋糕, 沒預期的扎實, 藏著的提子乾很大顆, 未被焗乾透, 柔韌帶著果香, 算挽救少許的分數。

蛋糕賣相在花巧跟平實之間取了個平衡, 主要以鮮果、朱古力和芝士為材, 價格多徘徊在$36-40, 未算太高不可攀。

snow white($36)一身雪白的造型, 確很貼題, 外邊滿佈糖粉 營造出飄雪的意境。 選用本屬甜膩的白朱古力, 奶香出眾, 想到襯上熱情果做成慕絲, 細滑且有一定的挺實, 未太軟趴趴, 果香真實, 酸酸甜甜, 非常醒胃, 只是個人嫌層次單薄了一點, 只慕絲加清蛋糕的組合, 擦出的化學作用有限, 我會期望得到更多。

將近上檯的一刻, 店員細心的插上火紅的脆糖, 頓時高貴了不少。 焦糖慕絲的成份非常重, 跟餅底差不多是三七之比, 打至柔滑, 比奶凍更感綿密, 甜中更多份甘香, 沒過重的奶羶味, 緊貼著海綿蛋糕和鬆厚的brownie餅底, 朱古力味出奇地濃重, 不失甘醇, 層次比剛才的多變。

未知是否因為仍是試業的階段, 只以紙碟奉客, 這天逗留的時間未免太短, 再訪或會為了鮮製的沙律和用料十足的三文治, 多款的歐陸也是不俗之選。

     放假最鍾意去赤柱行下, 今次發現左有間新開奇怪石屋係赤柱大街頭位, 有歐洲feel得黎帶點神秘, 因為要落地庫關係…地方寬大, 食物吸引, 有好多款沙律同價錢可以MIX選擇 , 食材新鮮, 有款紅菜頭沙律正,同火箭菜好有葉味, 三文治大約6-7款,我試左火腿芝士, 同牛肉三文治, 起初仲驚硬, 一食之下推介一定要試牛肉好林配埋酸醬芥末簡直絕配, 還有歐式包包, 西湯, 大酒店水準既Cake, Macaron, Frozen Yogurt, coffee…價錢合理 , 大熱天時, 行到成身汗, or 等人落去HEA下, 係一個幾好選擇既地方…我會去多幾次, 試埋其他味道cake~~~
