I've been looking at places for Omakase in Hong Kong. Apparently the time that I want to go was the time the japanese fish market was closed, so many restaurants were closed. Eventually, I've called up Sushi Ta-ke and was told that the restaurant would be open. I was a little hesitant to try, as I've called about 3-4 restaurants without any luck. Either way, it was one of the restaurants that I wanted to try and the review on openrice wasn't bad. So we gave it a shot. When I made the reservation, the host had asked if we would like to sit at the bar. I thought that was a great idea as with my previous omakase experience, sitting at the bar gives you the most experience and interaction with the chef. The restaurant was pretty empty when we went in at around 7ish. We were there for the omakase, so we were just deciding which one we wanted. The chef special have something that I'm not too fond of. So we end up choosing the Omakase Ta-ke. which was $1500HKD per person. There was quite a few options. Overall it was good, but wasnt AMAZING. The uni was yum yum, but for the price I am paying ... it BETTER be good. The egg, really surprised me. I thought it was cake, but it's really egg, with the texture of the cake. I really enjoyed that. Everything else was pretty good. but really not worth the price I am paying for. I personally wouldn't come back, as I can probably get better quality for the price I am paying elsewhere or cheap price and same quality. I would say, the service there was good. Maybe they just have a lot of staff around, so they are very attentive.

食過真係好懷念,所以話食過好野真係返唔到轉頭!今日簡簡單單食個快靚正既lunch前菜同小食沙律上面有硬硬地既蔬菜,雖然唔知係咩,但好有咬口,幾有趣!另有兩啖就食完既poke雜錦角切魚生,拌有胡麻醬,淺嚐便足夠。茶碗蒸蒸蛋保持水準滑不留口,有蟹肉,貝柱,蝦粒,上面有層啫喱,好香既海鮮味道呑拿魚蓉丼呑拿魚蓉上有花瓣,加上魚蓉同是粉紅色,哈哈,很少女,不適合我,但應該可以令女生著迷。魚蓉非常新鮮,蓉中仍留有一些是大粒的魚肉,口感更豐富,入口融化之餘留有肉感,和飯同食更增加層次感。最後以咖啡作結。咖啡伴有黃糖和温暖的牛奶,十分細心,不會因添加牛奶而影響咖啡温度

同朋友一齊想試新野,睇open rice 揀左呢間。睇相野食幾吸引,但後來發現有啲失望,因為食物種類太少冇咩選擇,主要只食魚,魚生冇咩味;雖然服務幾好但環境太黑。性價比唔高,以同一價錢,可以係附近其他地方有更好選擇。

平時shushi lunch set 好抵食,可能好多人都有試過,所以我地有時間都會去開心下。 今次因身體關係,不可吃生冷食物,特意安排多點熟食加少量生冷海膽同toro,止住心癮。今次食北海道紫海膽,好新鮮,我有問師傅,香港的紫海膽同北海道的有咩分別,佢話D針冇咁密同長,所以容易分辨喎!等我下次去西貢試下先。大部分香港的日本料理餐廳,夜晚的omakase 熟食燒Kinki 魚係常客,今晩當然有佢啦!鹽燒Kinki, 有點過熟不過鹽份剛剛好。因為夏天,都是食河魚,魚生有清魚,有淡淡魚味,有人會唔鐘意,咁呢方面就真是好個人化。Take 的miso soup 真係好好好味,可惜次次去到最後已經好飽,冇位再食,但真的好好味。
