Hashimaki is like a Japanese grilled pancake rolled on a pair of wooden chopsticks. It’s stuffed with cheese and topped with a runny egg and mountain of Bonito flakes, drizzled with mentaiko sauce, mayonnaise and sesame seeds. The taste is quite good and the texture of the pancake is like the batter used in takoyaki. However I was unlucky enough to have waited 45 minutes for this, cos a new kitchen staff was on duty and it was his first time learning to make the hashimaki. Nonetheless I’m glad

The carbonara was standard and good. The poached egg on the top was perfect. Can’t resist to poke it and take a dirty picture.
