Came here for drinks after work on Friday, usually this place is not as packed as the other places in TST and very classy as it is a very nicely decorated cigar / whisky bay. There is an extensive range of wines, cocktails and whisky. We tried a wide variety of drinks and ordered food from the bar menu. This review focuses on the food. For the first round we ordered the Tiffany’s Platter $238.This mixed platter contained sweet potato fries, deep fried fish fillets, buffalo chicken wings and deep fried cheese mozzarella sticks. The deep fried food was cooked perfectly without having any oily residue and crispy on the outside whilst the filling inside was moist and fluffy. The buffalo chicken wings were quite spicy 🌶️ which was to my liking. For the second round we ordered the Japanese Mini Burger 🍔 Set $188.The burgers were made from Wagyu beef and came with chunky cut French fries which you seldom see in HK. The tomato sauce for the fries came in a mini Heinz bottle which was very cute. The burgers were juicy, moist and the buns were soft and warm, there was also a bbq dipping sauce for the burgers incase there was not enough flavour. For the third round we ordered the Japanese Wagyu Beef Sushi $188.We expected, raw beef, but it had been cooked and drizzled with sweet teriyaki sauce. Again the beef was tender and soft. The rice was moist and perfect to soak up the soy sauce and wasabi. Overall, the bar food here is of high quality and consider the price for a 5 star hotel is value for money. Great venue for drinks. We consumed a bottle of Pinot Noir and finished the night with a cheeky Ben Nevis 9 year old whiskey 🥃Being a IHG club member you can also get a 10 percent discount which was perfect! continue reading

We had an incredible time at Whisky Fest 2024, where AF Trade showcased some of the finest Japanese whiskies! 🇯🇵✨ Let us take you through the highlights of the event and the amazing brands we discovered.First up, we explored the world of MARS, a distillery that houses several whisky brands, including the renowned Komasa Jyuku, Tsunuki, and Iwai. Each brand offers a unique and distinct flavor profile, making it a true whisky lover’s paradise. But the real showstopper was the collaboration between AF Trade and Tiffany’s New York Bar, resulting in the third and final release of the Tsunuki X Tiffany’s New York Bar cat-themed whisky. 🐈🍻 It was a delightful fusion of art and spirits!Next, we immersed ourselves in the world of Hokkaido’s whisky distillery, Hakkon. Inspired by the famous Islay whiskies from Scotland, Hakkon established its distillery in the town of Akkeshi in 2016, creating a range of whiskies known for their rich peaty flavors and their connection to the twenty-four solar terms. It was a truly unique experience tasting their exceptional creations. 💨🌿Moving on, we explored the offerings from Sakura Oi Distillery, home to two remarkable whisky brands: Sakura Oi and Togawauchi. These distilleries are located in contrasting environments, with one nestled by the bay and the other tucked away in the depths of the mountains. The resulting whiskies were strikingly different in terms of taste and texture, showcasing the diverse beauty of Japanese whisky craftsmanship. 🍶🌊🏔️Lastly, we got a sneak peek at the upcoming brand, Shido, set to launch in February next year. Overall, Whisky Fest 2024 was an unforgettable experience. We savored exceptional whiskies, discovered new flavors, and celebrated the artistry behind Japanese whisky. 🥃✨ continue reading

8/10⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯ continue reading

Tiffany’s New York Bar at InterContinential Grand Stanford Hotel is one of my favorite whiskey bar in HK due to the collections and accessibility. I have tried the Ardbeg Heavy Vapours and BizarreBq that is more than smoky and mud taste. Sweet, BBQ sauce and powerful drawback flavour is the hymn for working class. The Sullivans Cove Double Cask on the other hands is so gentle with green apple and vanilla flavour that is great for hot summer. continue reading

continue reading
